Kurayami looked at Sora angrily. He tried to struggle, but it was useless. Frustrated, Kurayami put all his strength into resisting and began shouting in rage.

Sora looked at Kurayami seriously and said,

"Kurayami, do you know how you look right now? You look like some crybaby throwing a tantrum."

Kurayami screamed,

"You bastard human! Just once—just give me a single chance! I will make you suffer between life and death!"

Sora replied,

"You already tried, and you saw the result for yourself. Forget about all this. Instead, let me tell you something interesting. Listen carefully, little princess of the Holy Kingdom."

Hearing this, Kurayami was momentarily stunned. Thoughts raced through her mind:

"No… no… no… What did this bastard human just say? But how does he know this?"

Kurayami grew even angrier and shouted,

"You bastard! How do you know about this? Are you working with a demon?!"

Sora replied,

"No, I'm not working with any demons. But I can help you get your revenge. You just have to tell me the whole story."

Kurayami hesitated for a moment, thinking,

"Sora is extremely powerful. He might actually be able to help me get my revenge and find the one who betrayed us."

After some thought, Kurayami said,

"Alright."

Now, the story of the war between demons and humans was revealed. No one followed any rules in that war, and the battlefield was more terrifying than hell itself. In the end, only 30% of the humans and demons survived—the rest all perished.

In that war, the two strongest warriors of both kingdoms—the greatest hero of humanity and the first demon prince—were both killed. It was a nightmare beyond imagination. And all of it happened because of one human and one demon.

Kurayami then continued,

"I was just a child back then. My father, the King of the Holy Kingdom, was betrayed… in this very forest."

Now, the truth about this forest was revealed. This was the place where demons lived.

During a battle with the humans, the Demon King was killed, but he managed to take the hero down with him. Since the demon race needed a new Demon King, a special trial was arranged. Whoever emerged victorious in this trial would become the next Demon King.

However, in the meantime, a temporary Demon King was needed. A terrifyingly powerful demon was chosen, one said to be even stronger than the previous Demon King.

To complete the Demon King’s ascension, a ritual was required. The demons believed that with the blessing of the Demon God, the new Demon King’s power would be limitless. But for this blessing to work, a human sacrifice was needed. And the more innocent the human, the more powerful the Demon King would become.
