He watched Aiden's reaction for a moment, finding that the man was treating the denim jacket he gave just now like an heirloom that should be carefully guarded. Aiden looked so happy when he heard his order.
It felt, compared to seeing a human, it was like looking at a puppy who had just gotten his first new toy.
He saw Aiden take out his sewing kit from his bag, which he found very strange. In all his life, he had never seen anyone carry sewing supplies with them wherever they went the way Aiden did. So to be honest, he was a little interested in what Aiden would do with his sewing kit.
With great diligence, Aiden began to sew his clothes. It turned out that it wasn't just the buttons on his jean jacket that needed repairing the seams, but also several other torn parts that he was not aware of and that needed to be repaired.
His eyes were unconsciously glued to Aiden's hand movement. He noticed that Aiden had such sturdy and strong-looking hands and was so skilled at sewing the jeans jacket. As if Aiden's hands were born to do jobs that require a high level of skill and precision.
In fact, when he glanced at how Aiden had stitched, he was amazed in his heart. Aiden did tell the truth. The man's stitches were even exactly the same as machine stitches. So immaculately and clean. It looked like Aiden was not just boasting when he said he could fix his jacket. It was clear that Aiden was really confident in his sewing skills.
"You should get some rest first, Master. I will wake you up later."
Ashley hastily turned his gaze in another direction. He did not want to please Aiden by telling him that he was touched by the attention his new human slave gave him.
"Huh? How dare you, ordering me like that?"
"I do not mean that way. It's just, I notice that your face complexion is not good, Master," Aiden continued without taking his eyes off the jacket.
"I don’t want to take such a stupid risk by giving in to your foolish words, slave. What if you use this chance to run away from your job and me?"
"I would not dare to do that, Master. Rest assured," Aiden placed the denim jacket on his lap for a moment, then looked straight at Ashley. "If you are scared that I will run away from you, Master, you can use a binding spell on me."
His eyes widened, surprising him when he heard the idea that Aiden had just proposed without hesitation. He immediately leaned closer to Aiden, pressing both of Aiden’s cheeks with his hands. "How did you know about binding spells?"
For a moment, he could see the panic on Aiden’s face, before the man's face
managed to hide it with a calm expression.
"I-I heard it from my late mother. She once mentioned to me a spell used by werewolves to make sure their slaves would not be able to escape from them."
"Are you sure about that?”
"Yes."
He was silent for a moment, then removed his hand from Aiden's cheek. "Nah. I don’t want to use it. It would be a hassle to me."
"So, does it mean..." Aiden was silent for a moment, looking nervous. "You believe me?"
"Don’t get me wrong. I don’t do that because I believe in you. I just think it would be a hassle for me for using that kind of spell for you. If you dare to disappear from my sight, all I need to do is find you and kill you. There is no prohibition against killing humans in this city."
"Oh."
Aiden, strangely, looked so happy to hear his words.
"All you need to do is complete your task perfectly, and don't even think about strange things," he smacked Aiden's forehead. "Do you understand, Slave?"
"Yes, Master."
"Oh, and one more thing before I forget to tell you. Don't call me Master unless we are alone or when you are with my friends."
"Why?"
Once again, he smacked the man’s forehead.
"Don't dare to question my decision. All you just need to do," he lifted Aiden's chin with his index finger, "is follow me."
"I understand, Master ..."
He smiled with satisfaction hearing Aiden's obedience, took his hands away from Aiden, and then sat back in his chair with his arms crossed in front of his chest. He fell silent as soon as he realized someone was staring at him, making him wary. His eyes wandered around, looking around until he found Professor Garfield in the classroom. The man's dark eyes looked straight at him, with the meaning of that gaze hard for him to understand.
But those eyes managed to create a loud rumble in his heart. He tried to remain calm, with his mind questioning the existence of Professor Garfield.
Shouldn't Professor Garfield no longer be in this room? Why was that man even here?
Not that he did not want the man he had been drawn to since arriving on campus to be there. Simply put, he was surprised to see the man in this room. That man should not be in this place at this hour.
"Ashley?"
He hastily adjusted his posture to sit up straight when he heard Professor Garfield's voice calling his name. His heart could not stop rejoicing when he heard Professor Garfield call his name for the first time in history.
He had often imagined scenarios in which Professor Garfield would call his name in his mind. Even imagining Professor Garfield calling his name in a half-whispered voice in his ear whenever he jerked off in his bedroom.
And it has now become a reality. But not in the way he wanted it.
"Y-yes, Professor?"
Unknowingly, he showed his nervousness instead of the calm demeanor he should have had. In his heart, he cursed the stupidity of his attitude, while at the same time, he tried to control his heart, which was beating fast.
As if adding to the agony he was already feeling, Professor Garfield gave him a gentle smile. He was sure the smile was only directed at him because the man's eyes were only on him.
Not at Aiden. So he began to doubt the idea that Professor Garfield was aware of Aiden sitting beside him right now.
"Why are you still here?"
Why are you still here, he asked, Ashley muttered to himself as he was repeating Professor Garfield's question in his mind. Could he take this sign as a sign that Professor Garfield was interested in him?
He was just about to answer Professor Garfield's question when suddenly Aiden spoke up.
"Is there also a prohibition here for students to use the classroom as we like after class ends?"
Aiden didn't even take his eyes off the denim jacket he was still sewing on, but the man's tone seemed so curt as he answered Professor Garfield's question.
And that very second, he stepped on Aiden's right foot in an instant, until Aiden pursed his lips tightly so as not to let out a groan of pain as a result of it.
"I didn't ask you. I asked Ashley," Professor Garfield responded to Aiden's words in a cold tone. "Are you a freshman?"
"I don't think I have an obligation to answer that."
He didn't know if Aiden was an idiot or what. Even though he had been warned by the human not to be stupid. But in fact, the man returned to answering Professor Garfield's question with the nonchalant attitude that he was showing.
"We'll be home in a minute," Ashley finally said, after slipping his hand down Aiden's back and pinching the skin of the man's back with all his might in annoyance. "Yeah, he is a new student who just moved to this city. So there is not much he knows."
"Oh, indeed. That explains his behaviour," Professor Garfield muttered under his breath.
"Okay, I have to go to attend the meeting. But you two should go home after finishing whatever you two are doing here."
"Yes, Professor Garfield."
Professor Garfield smiled at his answer. Then their eyes met with each other's eyes, and only that alone managed to make his nervousness overtake him. Professor Garfield's lips then moved silently, causing him to quickly focus his attention on reading the man's lip movements.
[You look beautiful as usual, Ashley.]
When he realised what the man had just said, his cheeks instantly warmed.
[It's hard for me to take my eyes off you.]
His heart started to beat faster as he realised that one of his fantasies had turned into reality.
Is this real? Was he dreaming right now, or was it real? As it seemed too good to be true for him...
But everything was clearly real. He realised that as he lowered his head for a moment and pressed against the skin of his palms with his fingernails, feeling the pain.
This is definitely real, he muttered to himself, pleased. If only I had known that all I needed to do to be able to hear all those words from Professor Garfield was stay in the classroom until class ended…
Maybe I should have been doing it this way from the start.
Professor Garfield smiled happily at his reaction. Silently, Professor Garfield winked at him, before finally leaving the already deserted classroom.
"I finished it, Master."
Aiden's voice managed to disrupt the euphoria that had enveloped him. Half holding back annoyance, he turned to Aiden, snatched his denim jacket from Aiden's hands quickly, and put it on immediately. Without saying anything, he got up from his chair and left the classroom with deep irritation towards Aiden.
Simply because this annoying man had already managed to spoil his mood.
Aiden hastily followed him after tidying up all his equipment.
"Is there somewhere you want to go?" asked Aiden as soon as he caught up with him. The human's face looked worried. "Are you all right, Master? Your face looks red."
When Aiden's hand was about to touch his forehead, he immediately pushed Aiden's hand away.
"Don't touch me!"
Aiden pulled back his hand, surrendering. "Do you have any classes after this class?"
"No."
He suddenly felt hungry, and when he rolled up his sleeves to check the time, he found that it was already lunchtime.
"I am hungry. Buy me lunch."
"Oi, humans! Do you have ears or not!?" he shouted, annoyed when he found Aiden did not respond to his order quickly.
"Y-yes..." Aiden finally spoke again. "I would love to do that, but I do not have money …"
"Urgh..."
He massaged his throbbing temples again, then took out his card for Aiden. "Use this card and buy me some food."
"B-But I don't know where the cafeteria is …"
He became increasingly frustrated when he heard his slave's answer.
How could I have forgotten that he was new here? he mumbled angrily. Poor and stupid? Ashley, you made an excellent choice in selecting a slave ...
He grumbled, cursing his own stupidity.
"I have no choice then. It's such a pain in the ass to have a slave like you," he finally said, gesturing for the human to follow him into the cafeteria room.
"I am sorry for my stupidity, Master."
"Whatever. Follow me."
