Five minutes later, Caellylia returned with Alex's grandma and found him curled up in Xenos's arms, where they could still hear his soft cries.

"Oh dear, what happened?" Miranda asks, looking worried about Rex.

"Can we discuss this in a more private place?" Xenos replies, still holding onto Rex.

"Sure, come to my office," Miranda suggests a spot for them to relax.

Xenos got up and carried Rex, and everyone followed Alex's grandma to her office. Alex glanced over to see how Rex was doing after his cry.

Alex's grandma's office resembles a typical school counselor's space. Xenos placed Rex on one of the chairs in her office. As she waved her wand, tea appeared, and she presented everyone with a teacup.

"Have some tea everyone," Miranda says, offering tea.

"So, Grandma, is there something different about vampires and werewolves?" Alex asks.

"There isn't much difference; like on Earth, both groups hate each other. Centuries ago, vampires used to enslave werewolves to be their 'guard dogs' during the day. Then one night during a full moon, the werewolves rebelled and attacked the vampires for their freedom," Miranda answers, providing some history.

"Over time, two factions or guilds formed. The Wolf's Bait Guild is exclusively for werewolves; the founder mostly created it to provide a home for them. The other guild is a vampire-only organization called the Blood Fang Guild, which caters to high society and those who fight werewolves," Xenos adds, explaining some history while sipping his tea.

"It's ironic; each one has someone representing them in the Magic Council," Miranda says, laughing about it now.

Alex takes a sip of tea, looking at Rex as he hears about the Magic Council. Haven't they stopped what happened to Rex's village, or something like that?

"Was the Magic Council notified about what happened to Rex's Village? Aren't they the rulers of this world?" Alex asks.

"Technology, no. Yes, the Magic Council is up there, but they're not the rulers. They are trying to understand the meaning; even the representation of the werewolves is on thin ice with this attack," Miranda answers.

"On thin ice,' they were a wild pack. They reveled in the screams and pain they caused! They tore my father apart and laughed in our faces for doing it!" Rex shouts in pain.

"Shh, it's okay," Xenos says, holding Rex.

"Mrs. Griffin, drop him out of Combat Spells or find him a private teacher. That's not a werewolf, please," Xenos says, pleading for help.

"I'll see what I can do. Wait here; I'll be right back," Miranda says as she leaves her office.

Alex, Xenos, and Rex are in Alex's grandmother's office. Alex approaches Rex to console him. When Alex places a hand on Rex's back, he's abruptly drawn into a Vision. His eyes glow gold, and he gains insight into past events.

(A village in a burning town has people screaming in terror and running in fear. A pack of werewolves begins killing them. Blood splashes everywhere as silhouette shadows show werewolves gnawing on them. Inside one of the buildings, a younger version of Rex is seen with both of his parents. His father is trying to block the door while Rex's mother is trying to protect her son.

"Honey, take our son and get out of here; I'll hold them off," Rex's father says, bracing the door.

"Daddy, please don't do this," younger Rex pleads, tears streaming down his face.

"It's too dangerous, sweetheart. Please, let's go together," Rex's mom says, trying to hold back her tears.

"I have to do something; we can't just sit here and wait for death," Rex's father replies.

Suddenly, their front door bursts open. Three of the pack of werewolves walk in, drooling at the sight of fresh meat. They're ready to attack. However, Rex's father generates some electrical magic in his fist.

"STAY BACK, YOU BEAST!" Rex's father shouts.

Unleashing this lightning bolt was thrilling, infused with untamed magic, but it unexpectedly struck one of the wolves, which yelped like a dog hit by something.

"RUN! I'll be right behind you!" Rex's father shouts.

Rex's mother grabs her son and starts running out the back of the house. Shortly after, Rex's father follows them, and they head out of the village, hoping to lose their pursuers. Suddenly, he remembers he shouldn't look back, but Rex's father glances over his shoulder and sees a small pack of werewolves chasing after them.

In an attempt to escape the werewolves, Rex's father started unleashing lightning bolts against them. However, the bolts never struck the same spot twice due to their unpredictable nature. He watched as the wolves skillfully dodged each bolt until one of them was quick enough to bite him, knocking Rex's father down.

"AH!" Rex's father screams in agony.

Rex's mother stopped for a brief moment to see her husband fall with a werewolf still having its teeth sink into his flesh.

"DADDY!" younger Rex shouts, tearfully.

"KEEP RUNNING!!!" Rex's father shouts.

"NO, DADDY!" younger Rex pleads, trying to rescue him.

"No! Son, we have to go!" Rex's mother shouts, grabbing him once more.

As Rex's mother runs, she cries out upon hearing her husband scream in agony. The pack of werewolves, now catching up, begins to tear into him, ripping his flesh and breaking his bones.

The sun begins to set. Rex's mother sprinted as far as she could when she was abruptly halted. In front of them lies a cliff, beneath which the ocean roars as waves crash against its base.

As Rex's mother hears the distant howls of wolves, she worries they have located them. She holds Rex tightly, and his eyes fill with terror. The wolves are getting closer, causing him to tremble with fear. Tears stream down his cheeks as he realizes this might be the end for his family.

"It's alright, sweetie, Mommy's here," Rex's mother reassures him while hugging tightly.

The werewolves caught up to them. Rex's heart raced as they lounged to attack them from above, fearing being eaten like his father. Suddenly, lightning grew even more potent around him than his father.

"No!" young Rex shouts.

Lightning erupted from Rex as thunder enveloped him and his mother, creating a barrier that struck between them and the werewolves. The lightning leaped from Rex's body, transforming into a bird-like figure that emitted a haunting screech. The powerful lightning strike jolted the wolves but also caused the ground beneath Rex and his mother to give way, causing them to plummet into the abyssal ocean.)

Alex was thrown back by a jolt of Rex's magic, causing him to cough violently and vomit at the sight of his father dying.

"Alex! Are you alright?" Xenos shouts, trying to comfort him.

"Y-yeah, I'm fine," Alex coughs, hoping he's alright.

As the door swings open, the boys notice Marcus has arrived, catching them off guard. Alex feels a rush of embarrassment, especially with vomit on the floor.

"What happened?" Marcus asks.

"I saw what happened to his village and how his dad died," Alex answers, feeling guilty about reflecting on his past.

"Do you possess the Eyes of Foresight?" Xenos asks.

"Eyes of Foresight?" Alex asks.

"Yes, it's a rare magical ability; those with golden eyes possess this gift, and they're called Seers," Xenos replies.

"But my eyes are hazel," Alex replies, touching the edge of his eyelid.

Xenos got up from comforting Rex, walked by, and leaned in to look into Alex's hazel eyes, noticing the hint of gold within them.

"It's true that your eyes are hazel, as you say. Anyone can become a Seer when their eyes turn golden, enabling them to perceive the Past, Present, and Future. I sense there is much more beneath the surface within you, Mr. Griffin," Xenos remarks, playfully teasing Alex.

Alex feels slightly blushed, understanding that he had never blushed around anyone, especially other men, until yesterday, when Marcus was present, and now Xenos.

Suddenly, Alex's grandma returned from somewhere, looking happy. Alex quickly got up and tried to hide that he had thrown up on the floor.

"I have some news for Mr. Lightningstorm, but first, (Alex's grandma waves her wand to clean up Alex's vomit), that's better, don't you think, dear?" Miranda says, looking at Alex like he was busted.

Alex feels embarrassed after vomiting in his grandmother's office. Although he remembered he could use magic, he still lacked the skill to do so correctly.

"Here's the news: I've spoken with Headmaster Brightbead and Professor Lycurgus. They both agree that Mr. Lightningstorm should have a different teacher," Miranda says.

"T-Thank you, Mrs. Griffin," Rex replies, tears of joy streaming down his face as he thanks her.

"You're welcome, dear. Now, off you go; it's about time for lunch, and Alex, take it easy on the food," Miranda says, glancing at Alex regarding his little accident.

"Yes, G-Grandma," Alex says, choking up.

Just before leaving Alex's grandmother's office, she quickly turns to face her grandson.

"Alex," Miranda declares.

"Yes, Grandma?" Alex asks, looking back at her.

"I'm glad you're able to make some friends here," Miranda replies, noticing those around Alex. They smile at her comment about friendship.

Alex smiled as he looked at his friends, Rex, and Xenos, then turned back to his grandmother with a proud smile.

"I appreciate you bringing me here, Grandma. I'm excited to make some great friends," Alex replies with a grin.

Leaving the office, Alex and his friends go to the banquet hall for lunch, as he has two more classes scheduled right after. He feels nervous since only two classes are left for the day, hoping they won't be similar to Professor Skull Head or Professor Lycurgus.

"Here we go!" Alex says with a bright smile.
