After that talk we just sat there in silence.

Thinking.

I had just come into this world. I mean not really but in some way I did. I might be an adult but I have no past. Or memories of it at least. What am I to do?

I mean I have this power which shocked even Kaelen, but I am not even sure about if it is that strong or not. 

Actually… Kaelen has seen a lot of the world, he must have seen a lot of strong people.

"Kaelen?"

"Yeah?"

"Am I… strong?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, this power of mine… Is it strong?"

"Look, I have seen many lightning powers in my day… None of them were like this."

"How?"

"Well, the storm is usually uncontrollable, usually people have to harness and force it to be used… When it comes to you, it seems like the storm came to help you. The storm doesn't usually do that. You didn't harness it, or even try to call for it specifically, it just came to help you out. Why do you ask?"

"I have no past… I am just wondering what am I to do in this world. What's my purpose?"

"You feel like you have no purpose?"

"Yeah… I just feel like since I have no past, I don't have a future either. I don't have a life to live."

"Not sure that's how I would look at it."

"Huh?"

"Why not think of it as having another chance at life?"

"Another chance at life?"

"Yeah. Now it doesn't matter what your past is. You could've been the worst person ever and it doesn't matter now."

"That's a better way to look at it I guess."

"You guess?"

We both laugh.

"What should I do with this new chance at life?"

"That's up to you. Don't you have any dreams?"

"I have been alive for two days, how could I have dreams?"

"You must have something you want to do. It's something ingrained into all of us."

"Well there is this one thing… When you were talking about your journey earlier, I was thinking about just how messed up this world is. Where you either immediately bring something useful or you don't have a home."

"Yeah… but what about it?"

"I want to make a home for those without one. I want to make a place where everyone is accepted, no matter who they are."

"That will be a hard thing to do, it actually almost sounds crazy."

"Well, it's the only thing I can think of. For now that will be my goal."

"You need a right hand?"

"Didn't you say it was crazy?"

"I said almost"

"Fair eniugh." I laugh "I might use some help."

"Tomorrow our journey starts. Let's sleep for now."

"Good night."
