Anni leaned back in her chair, her fingers hovering over the keyboard. She had just sent the message about Kuroshima Asylum, her heart racing with excitement. It wasn’t long before the replies started coming in.
Haruka’s Message: "You want to go to that place? Anni, you know the rumors, right? It’s supposed to be dangerous. And creepy. Like, really creepy. But... I mean, if you’re serious about it, I’m in. Just... don’t drag me into any dumb horror movie tropes, okay?"
Haruka’s message made Anni chuckle. Haruka always acted like she didn’t care about stuff like this, but there was a hint of worry in her words. Anni could practically hear the skeptical tone in her voice, even through the text.
Rika’s Message: "Are you sure you want to mess with that? I mean, I get it—it's a great idea for content, but… haunted places? Come on, Anni. There’s a reason no one’s been back from Kuroshima. It’s probably better to find something less... cursed. Still, if you’re set on it, I’ll go. But you owe me a really nice lunch after this. I’m talking sushi level nice."
Rika’s message made Anni pause. Rika was the voice of reason—she always kept things grounded. But even she couldn’t resist the allure of a dangerous adventure when it was all about getting attention and views.
Miyu’s Message: "Omg, that sounds so fun!! Haunted places are totally my vibe! I’m in. I’ve always wanted to go ghost hunting. I’ve been reading all these scary stories about Kuroshima, and if we’re going to do it, we need some serious equipment. I’ll bring my camera, flashlights, and maybe a few protection charms—just to be safe. Let’s do this!!"
Miyu’s enthusiasm was the opposite of Rika’s caution. She was all in, eager for the thrill. Anni could practically see her jumping around in excitement as she typed the message. Her love for spooky things was one of the reasons Anni felt confident this would be the right decision.
Saki’s Message: "Kuroshima? You’re not serious, right? That place is like... straight out of a nightmare. I mean, I’ve heard things, and I’m not exactly thrilled about it. But... if you’re going, I’ll go too. I don’t want you guys going without me. Just... let’s stick together, okay? I’m not in for anything crazy."
Saki’s message had a more hesitant tone. She wasn’t totally sold on the idea, but her loyalty to the group made her agree to go anyway. Anni knew that Saki wasn’t one to back down from a challenge when it came to her friends.
Natsuki’s Message: "YES. THIS IS THE KIND OF STUFF I LIVE FOR. Kuroshima Asylum? Hell yeah, I’m in. I’ve been waiting for something this intense. Let’s make it a full-on adventure. If this doesn’t give us views, nothing will. I’ll bring my gear, snacks, and, of course, the most reckless attitude you can imagine. Let’s go get scared out of our minds."
Natsuki’s reply was full of her usual excitement, and Anni couldn’t help but grin at how fearless and over-the-top Natsuki was. She was always up for anything, no matter how insane.
Anni smiled as she read through the messages. The responses were a mix of excitement, caution, and doubt—but one thing was certain: her friends were in.
“Looks like we’re doing this,” Anni typed back, her heart racing again with anticipation. “Let’s get ready for an adventure.”
She hit send, feeling the adrenaline of the idea finally take root. This would be the adventure that would change everything.
