Some of us know about one or two fairy tale stories or myths in our town, country or birthplace. Some of us dream to exist in those kind of fairytale-like stories where Prince Charming will come as a savior riding on a white horse and offering his flawless hand.

People might not know this but every story comes from life and life can be created from a story. So, inside every fairy tale we read, there are lives moving and living which have their own dreams and hope.

Also, with this situation, there are some evil forces trying to cause destruction, chaos and discord. And in with that case...

- FAIRYLAND - KINGDOM OF TAVURN (YEAR XX82) -

With so much explosion outside the palace, raging fire crawling up to the walls of the fortress defending the main palace. Cries and screams of the villagers and townsmen asking for ending that tragedy could be heard all over the place.

The whole country was on the brink of destruction from the sudden invasion of countless monsters. Dragons, orcs, goblins, giants, dark elves, witches and even lower demons from the depths of hell were destroying and wrecking havoc at the capital city. And the preparation of this horrendous fate...

The sly little demon who is known for his countless mischief and crime. Beside him was the master he served which borrowed him some power to do his evil plan.

Evil Queen.

“More! More destruction! Destroy everything, my men! Annihilate those who will oppose! Kill the Queen and bring her head to me!” the Evil Queen commanded as she laughed hard like victorious, causing an uprising to the monsters.

The royal soldiers, guardsmen and some people of town who picked up their weapons were striving to defend their families and the country. But it seemed like at any certain point, only bloodshed and corpses of thousands of innocent people will be left lying on the ground.

Inside the palace, the Royal Knights First Command were rushing towards the Queen's hall. As they opened the big door, they saw their Her Majesty sitting alone near the window and watching the tragic events before her eyes. They knelt down before her and bowed down showing respect and loyalty.

“Her Majesty, with all due respect, as you can see the state of this country, in any minute, we won't stand a chance anymore and are completely annihilated. Please evacuate now, Her Majesty,” Commander Fraun pleaded the Queen.

But the Queen didn't reply and just remained watching outside, looking at the tragic event that fell upon their country.

“Her Majesty, there is no more time. We heard that our neighboring country already fell on their hands. The Alliance of Kingdoms also wouldn't be able to send reinforcement as they are also in the middle of defending their own domicile. So, let's retreat now and evacuate. Your life is more important than any of us,” Commander Fraun explained to her.

She stared at them before glancing at the ceiling and closing her eyes. She brushed the furry crown of the King before opening her eyes.

“I thought this was a tragic dream and I just needed to wake up. A nightmare caused by overthinking these past nights. But now that I felt the cold breeze of the night and heard those plead and screams, I know this is the reality. I also know that he was already not in this world,” she said with a lonely voice.

The Royal Knights remained silent as they didn't know what to respond with those lamenting words from her.

“But I know that in a short time, I will meet him again. I will see him again after this.” She stood up with her face showing the determination to do her job.

“Her Majesty!” Commander Fraun called her attention. “We beg you to stop doing this. His Majesty risked his life to protect this country and to protect you, Her Majesty. Please don't let his life be wasted. Let's evacuate for now. That is his last order to us,” he said with his forehead almost kissing the floor.

“It sounds like him, as always.”

“Commander Fraun, I can't take this! I need to do something—” Her words got cut off by his interruption.

“Her Majesty! Please listen to his last words. I was ordered to deliver it to you, if you tried to resist!” The commander raised his face even though it was a sign of disrespect before putting out some kind of device. “His Majesty said these...” He pressed a button and it activated.

“My Queen. My lovely Queen. I know that when you heard these words, I already left you alone in this world. First, I would like to say my sincere apology for not fulfilling my promise of being with you for a lifetime. For breaking my marriage vow on you. I'm deeply sorry, my Queen...”

The Queen couldn't help but to feel a sting in her heart as she heard those words.

“Next, if you ever heard these words, promise me to leave this country and save yourself as it will be for the best and the hope of our country men. This is also their wish...”

The Queen cupped her mouth as she prevented her tears from falling from her eyes but she couldn't. Tears started to flow to her cheeks as she continued listening.

“Lastly, if you know about my death, don't be reckless and just obey what Commander Fraun will say. Don't blame yourself because it's my decision. Like what I promised to you under the tree of our usual place, I promised to protect you with all of my life, in any danger come affront. Also, remember this, my lovely Queen...”

She felt weak and held to the edge of the table while trying to absorb everything.

“From the day we met up to this very moment of my life, my heart and my soul was always for you. In this life, only one girl was able to fill my heart. With all of my heart, I am offering you the greatest feeling in life. I love you, my lovely Queen. I love you so much, Snow White.”

Snow White fell in a deep silence as her tears were starting to cease. When she finally looked up, showing a confident and determined face which surprised the knights, she went near the window and recklessly opened it wide.

From her place, she could hear the wailing and screeching of the cry of her country men. Without further ado, she extended her hand up the air like offering something to the dark cloudy sky.

Snow White grasped a deep breath before letting out a heavy sigh. Then, she opened her mouth blowing a serene wind towards the sky and started to sing with a soothing melody.

“Oh, cold dark night. Above the people passing by. Heed my words and our wishes hoping to resound. Lend us strength to fight the fiery rage of time~”

The knights slowly stood up as they heard her sing with that beautiful voice, making them feel at ease with her serene singing.

“Oh, cloudy sky. Floating in the night. Tear up a big haul of snow around. Give us a treat to stop this burning hate this time~”

The cloudy sky started to release an abundant snow in a calm and collected manner, showering those people and monsters. Most of them looked up to the sky and noticed the one singing for them.

“Oh, cold dark night and people of mine. Don't be afraid I'm with you tonight. This one hope. I hope to cease this fight~”

The people felt grateful as they listened to the beautiful song by their Queen. The invaders also stopped for a while and decided to listen too.

“No more taking life. No more shedding blood. No more fighting. No more pain. Oh, cloudy sky brings peace inside the heart of people here. Let the snow calm you down and fall asleep. As you wake up this nightmare, dear~”

As the snowflakes fell on to them, it seemed like a sedation that calmed their fast beating hearts. One by one, they let go of their weapons and tears started to fall from their eyes.

“I'll keep you cold and warm within. Tonight, I will just stay here. Singing lullaby to those innocent ears. As tomorrow will melt the snow that calms your beautiful heart~”

As Snow White ended her song, the whole capital was covered with snow and the people were slowly falling asleep, even those inside the house and the palace. The invaders also got affected by that soothing lullaby and fell in a deep slumber.

The Royal Knights and the maids inside her hall are also slowly falling asleep. Commander Fraun tried to fight it but he couldn't and the last thing he saw was the contented smile of his Queen.

“Sorry for waiting for so long, my dear," she whispered. “I stop the battle and break the promise too. I hope you forgive me for breaking it as I forgive you for breaking yours,” she said as she looked up to the clouds continuously letting the rain of snow.

She continued to focus on making her people stop wasting their lives over the country and her. And while in the middle of reminiscing and the train of thoughts, she didn't notice something from behind.

“You seemed to be content with the result, my dear Queen Snow White.” She felt surprised with those voices and immediately turned back.

Though, it was already too late as she received a deep stab at her abdomen while looking to one of the knights before her. And those figures changed into a familiar character, smiling at her triumphantly.

“Cat got your tongue, my dear Snow White?”

“I-It is impossible... you shouldn't be here...” Her voice was straining as she grabbed the hand of the one who stabbed her.

“No, you have it wrong. I'm always here. Near you. Watching every move you make. So, don't be surprised.” She laughed in an insane manner.

“E-Evil Queen...”

“My dear Snow White, I'm proud of you when you stop this battle. But I am in deep lamentation as your beloved King died. My poor son-in-law...” She acted like in pain causing Snow White to feel angry.

“No! He is not... your son-in-law... and I'm not your daughter...” Her eyes were getting blurry as the blood continued to flow out from the stab wound.

“My fault, I'm sorry. You're not my daughter,” Evil Queen replied and looked at her seriously. “You are the greatest threat in my life!” She thrusted the blade deeper making Snow White coughed blood and winced in pain.

“Y-You won't...” Snow White wasn't able to finish her words as she fell on the floor.

“Hays... I'm not a fan of the dramatic ending, more or less a happy ending but I'm so happy now that I cannot contain it. You will now leave this world and will stop hindering my plans,” she said while looking down at Snow White and smiled victoriously. “ Goodbye, Snow White.”

After her last words, she disappeared in a black smoke. Snow White was still hanging onto life as she slowly lay down her back on the cold floor. She looked up and closed her eyes.

“ I have a wish to stop my people wasting their lives and stop the fight. But, I also have another wish. I wish to stop them in destroying this dream land where many people wish to have. I wish to stop them. Please, that is my last wish before I leave this world. Anyone out there, who can hear me. I beg you. Please... please... ”

Snow White slowly raised her hand like there was something she wanted to reach but she stopped halfway as her strength was already sucked out.

“I will see you now, my dear King...”

After saying her last words, she closed her eyes, for eternity. The floor she was laying down gradually froze and it crawled to the floor until the whole place got covered with ice stating that there was no more warm she can offer from her cold body. Hoping for the sun next morning will be able to help those people in melting their frozen heart.
