Impossible Is Impossible But Even Impossible Has Possibilities (1)
While running towards the school, Shirayuki met a person who will later change her fate and cause some branches for her and some other involved person.
Shirayuki struggled to stand while looking to the man who she labeled as a pervert. She brushed off his hands and immediately got away from him. As she completely understood the situation, she gradually approached him and he moved making her flinched.
“Ahhh... excuse me. Are you okay?” she asked and the man moved so she stepped back.
“Wait... why am I wasting my time here? I'm late for school?!!!”
“Ahh... whoever you are, I need to go now. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone about what you do. I know you are a man with needs but don't do it in daylight. Okay?” Shirayuki didn't wait for his answer and immediately rushed towards her school.
After a couple of minutes, with different hindrances and unexpected meetings, she reached the school and as expected, she was already late.
When she got out of the faculty room after finishing a series of lectures and questions from her homeroom teacher, she bowed down before closing the door. She sighed in relief before going to her classroom.
Yousei High School. An all-girl high school with about a thousand student population. It is supposed to be an elite school but years ago, they started to accept students through an academic scholarship program, though still an elite school in some ways.
Shirayuki Arima, second year high school student. Class 2-B. A scatteredbrain, frequent late and a little irresponsible in her own room. But still, she was one of the top students in the school, even with the tardy issues. She was a friendly, bright and cheerful girl. A free-spirited and outgoing student.
“Shirayuki-chan, what happened to you? You're late today?” one of her classmates asked while she was taking a seat.
“What to expect? It's nothing new. She probably woke up late for staying late at night reading manga,” the other one commented.
“Oh? Mina-chan, are you an esper?” Shirayuki wondered with sparkling eyes.
“Stupid. I just know your personality, Shirayuki.” Mina flicked her forehead.
“I see. But why did you look like it was being rolled over the ground?”
“Oh?! I remember. That man.”
“Kurei-chan, I met a weird person earlier,” Shirayuki answered.
She told them what happened to her from the man falling towards her and what he did to her. The two listened intently until she finished.
See? He's weird.” Shirayuki nodded while her eyes closed.
“Uhmmm... how would I say this. That. You're the weird one,” Mina commented.
Shock!
“Why, Mina-chan? Did I do something wrong?” she asked in teary eyes.
“No. It's just... how will a man fall into your place near the riverbank when it's too open. There's no house or high structure,” Mina explained which she just figured out.
“I see. You're smart, Mina-chan,” Shirayuki praised.
“You're just too gullible. Unless, he's a fallen angel or alien.”
“Yes. That's possible,” she replied, convincing herself.
“And that makes you weird,” Mina rebuked.
Shock!
“Yes, Shirayuki-chan. It's not possible. Probably, you're just still half awake while running. That's dangerous,” Kurei lectured her as she nodded like a child.
“Hmmm... is that really just daydreaming? How will I know? Hays...”
After school, Shirayuki excused herself first because she needed to go home early as she was being scolded by her aunt from going home late. Her friends bid farewell to her and they parted ways.
In the middle of walking, Shirayuki was still thinking of what happened in the morning. She reached the riverbank where it took place. She looked around the place but found nothing.
“I'm probably just daydreaming earlier. But the pain of falling felt real. Hays! Don't think of any unnecessary thoughts. Impossible is impossible. Hays! I'm tired.”
She just continued walking, throwing away those ideas until she heard a big splash of water so she stopped for a second.
“It's not like, he fell now in the river. He's not real, after all,” she said in the air.
She was about to take a step when she decided to look back at the river just to find a hand of a person washing away. Out of a strong sense of justice, as well as curiosity, she slid on the slope towards the bank.
“That hand.” She squinted her eyes and saw it clearly. “Ahhh! I'm right. It's the hand of a person! More importantly, it's the perverted hand earlier!” she yelled, pointing to that hand.
She had a good memory.
Shirayuki rushed towards that place to help him. Fortunately, the water was still low though the current was quite strong but she was able to drag him back to the bank even though her clothes got wet.
She looked at him, completely observing him and noticed his weird clothes. Just like a piece of blanket covering his body so she felt embarrassed and put distance between them.
