Mecklenburg Girls Academy: Broken Girls

Chapter Two: Nose Bleed

Chapter Two: Nose Bleed

Mar 16, 2025

Gyaru ran over to the judo mat as Rudy staggered back across the gym floor. Blood sprayed from his nose as a geyser hitting a dozen girls before his hand pinched the sides. Becca “Puddles” Kent stepped back, her eyes wide as her hand reformed, covered in blood. Rudy dropped to his knees, rolled over on his side, and gagged from the blood that rolled down the back of his throat. The students that were not medics backed away. The room had paused in shock with Rudy on the floor, helpless.

Florida and the girls from the medical team scattered about the room ran to him. Rudy’s fingers had slipped off as he coughed. One of the medic girls pinched Rudy's nose to stop the blood. He gagged and spat out blood between gasps for air. Another medic showed up with the room's trauma bag.

Florida knelt next to Rudy. "Go-Go! Run down to medical get me two large baseline catheters." Go-Go zipped off.

"We have to stop the bleeding," Florida said to Rudy, holding his face up. A medic knelt next to him with the intubation tray.

"I didn't mean to… I've been practicing…." Puddle said in the way.

Gyaru tapped Flat's shoulder, to point at Puddles. Flat took puddles by the shoulders and pulled her away.

"It was an accident," Flat said.

"My secret attack…." Puddles said.

"Blood pressure is 1324 over 650," The medic girl read the heavy cuff reading.

"Rudy. I don't have time to explain," Florida said. He nodded. Blood ran down his lips. He was starting to shake.

Gyaru did the only thing she could, set an example. She struggled to keep her thumb out of her mouth. To bite it, to feel pain, to do anything. The other girls in the room had backed off to the gym walls to keep out of the way. Gyaru stood nearby as if she was in charge. As if I could do anything for this, she thought.

Go-Go came back with the catheters. Florida, not waiting, lubed them with Rudy's blood. With help from another girl, Florida forced the tubes up Rudy's nose. She looked in his mouth and pushed the catheters into his nose until the ends came out his throat. Florida's hands shook as she pushed the saline syringe to inflate the bladders. The blood ran free to pool on the floor. Rudy's skin started to turn pale. The catheters inflated to blocked the sinus passage from the throat with a hard pull. She pulled harder. The medic clamped the catheters. His nose turned up like a pig. Blood slowed to a trickle in his throat, but now it poured from his nose.

"Blood pressure is 1124 over 550.”

Not good, Gyaru thought. The strongest man in the South bleeds out from a training accident.

Ms. Kimbell, the school's nurse practitioner, ran into the gym. She stood beside Florida, and the girls turned to the nurse. "Continue." Kimbell pointed at Rudy.

"Flat over here," Florida said. "Pull these tight, but not out," Florida handed over the tubes. Flat held them back as Florida packed the nostrils with gauze.

As Florida and the medics worked on Rudy, Gyaru could smell the fear. Baselines bleed out fast, Gyaru thought.

"We’ll need the heavy I.V. press," Florida said.

"One is on the way," Kimbell said. Gyaru knew the press was in the P.A.H.A. office an hour away.

We could send Go-Go, but the run would still be fifteen minutes, Gyaru thought.

"Blood pressure is 920 over 450."

I'm not losing Rudy Powers on my watch, Gyaru thought. She stepped away from the group to pull out her phone and hit the speed dial.

"Ah…Babe?" Vincent sounded like he was asleep.

"Teleport to South now. Rudy's injured," Gyaru said.

"I'll be useless in daylight," Vincent said.

"Do it," Gyaru said. The connection broke.

"Go-Go! Run to the circle and get Vincent," Gyaru said.

"Vincent?" Go-Go said.

"Now!" Gyaru said. Go-Go zipped away. She returned a minute later carrying Vincent wrapped in the opera cloak. Go-Go laid him down next to Gyaru, who lifted his head to her lap. Teleportation was always too much for him, Gyaru thought.

"I need you to heal Rudy," Gyaru said.

"Blood pressure is 875 over 480," Sweat and blood coated his shirt.

"In a few hours." Vincent was unable to lift his head.

"We don't have a few minutes." Gyaru placed her wrist to his lips.

"Are you sure?" Vincent said.

"Rudy is dancing with me at my wedding."

Vincent bit her wrist to drink the werewolf’s blood. A moment later, Vincent stood up. His skin radiated white under the cloak, and his eyes glowed red. Steam misted off his skin where the sunlight touched. Gyaru fell over with her magic and blood drained. Vincent walked past the girls to stand next to Florida. He placed a hand on Rudy's head. The white glow flowed from Vincent to Rudy.

"Blood pressure is 1777 over 950?"

Florida hung her head in relief. She sat in the blood, holding Rudy's hand.

Vincent fell to the floor. Go-Go dragged him over to Gyaru and pulled the cloak over him to keep the sunlight off his skin. The medics, not helping Rudy ran over to them, but Gyaru could sit up, and her wrist had closed. Vincent slept. Gyaru could smell the residual magic. The taint from her blood had burned out of Vincent. She ran her fingers through his hair.

"Thank you," She said.

Kimbell dropped to her knees, and her head held low.

"Get those out of him," Kimbell said to Florida.

Florida deflated the catheters. Rudy rubbed his nose as Puddles grabbed Rudy in a hug.

"I'm Sorry," Puddles said.
