The two started to bicker about that thing while walking until they reached Shirayuki's home. She forgot about him because she was too focused on disagreeing with his training proposal.

Thoth looked at her and smiled but she just sighed and cupped her cheeks, trying to figure out what to do. And also, she noticed his exhibitionist outfit making it hard to create a possible excuse in introducing him.

- EARTH - SAKAI HOUSEHOLD (YEAR XX00, JUNE - SUMMER) -

Shirayuki was standing in front of the door together with Thoth while facing her aunt who seemed puzzled and confused about the situation.

Shirayuki just forced a laugh before pointing out Thoth who just calmly bowed in her aunt as a sign of respect.

“It was pleasant to meet you, the one who nurtured and helped Shirayuki-sama in times of need. I am Tho—” Shirayuki elbowed his gut to stop him from spilling the beans.

“Like I said, Oba-san, this is Ryouta. Ryouta Masato. Do you remember him from my grade school days?” Shirayuki introduced Thoth with her self-made name.

“Oh? That boy. I remember him. Why are you standing there? Go inside.” Her aunt made a way for them to enter.

“Okay! She got convinced by that lie.”

“My sincere gratitude—”

“Stop that formal way of speaking, you idiot!”

Shirayuki scolded the god of wisdom using the term idiot.

Then, her aunt suddenly felt confused and looked at Thoth with forehead furrowed making Shirayuki nervous about what she would say.

“Ryouta? Who's that?” she asked.

“Like I said, the—hmmm, wait...” Shirayuki halted.

[“I came up with that name out of nowhere but something suddenly felt weird.”]

“I think that I knew him for a second but it suddenly felt like I didn't know him,” her aunt said.

“Same, Oba-san. I don't know what this feeling is but...”

“You probably forgot about me but I am an acquaintance of Shirayuki-sam—I mean, Shirayuki-chan before. Since our grade school days, I always visited your house together with Shirayuki-chan when we were getting dismissed early at school.”

Shirayuki flinched and blushed after hearing what he called her. Thoth looked at her asking for help on how to get over that.

“Ahhh... that is, Oba-san. Probably, you already forget about Ryouta,” she followed up.

And in the middle of their talk, Akako passed in the hallway while holding a baseball bat and glanced in their direction. She stopped and made eye to eye contact with Thoth, making the latter feel nervous.

Thoth, even a god, could feel nervous.

“Yo! You are here, Ryouta. What's that outfit? Are you into that fashion now?” Akako said and continued walking.

But she also felt weird and looked back in their direction. Shirayuki approached her and grabbed her shoulder.

“What did you just say?” she asked.

“No. I just heard he was here so I greeted him. I just don't know why I casually greet him like we're close,” Akako responded.

“Wait. What's this feeling. It's scary! Did I really know someone named Ryouta? Hmmm... I can't remember anyone. I know I'm somewhat forgetful but I can't forget someone who's close to me... probably.”

With a lot of confusion and questions over that matter, Shirayuki just invited him inside her room. Thoth sat in the front of a small table as Shirayuki sat on the bed facing him.

“Now, tell me. Did you do something? You are a self-proclaimed god, right?” she interrogated.

“Ah... I'm really a god,” Thoth replied.

“Okay, okay. Then?” Shirayuki looked at him keenly.

“Uhmmm... that...” He closed his eyes and crossed his arms. “I didn't do anything,” he directly answered.

“Hmmm...” Shirayuki squinted her eyes as she looked at him thoroughly. “Okay, you said it yourself. You don't really have the power to do that.” She accepted his answer.

Thoth was expert in ly—Shirayuki was just too gullible.

“Okay, moving on, about that thing... on getting out of control. Explain it to me,” Shirayuki ordered him.

“It is as it is. You will get engulfed by your own power and eat you until you just turn into a block of ice,” Thoth answered.

“Huh? What's that? It's scary.”

“Well, it won't happen in one go. There are different ways of exerting powers. Especially someone like you who attained that by succeeding in the will of someone. In your case, the feelings, thoughts, passion and decisions will let you exercise your power in their own way. But, to do that you need to learn how to control your feelings in order to control the amount of strength you will apply to your power. Grief, anger, fear, excitement and hatred are those extreme feelings you need to watch out for as it will make your power stronger than your resistance,” Thoth explained.

“Then, what will happen if I really feel too much anger?” Shirayuki inquired.

“Well, your power will get out of control and it will either hurt others, hurt yourself or both of it.”

Shirayuki gulped as she was hearing something really inevitable in the event of her life. She felt nervous, curious and burdened about it, simultaneously.

“Don't worry. Like I said, you can train yourself to strengthen the resistance of your power and won't get out of control. It's a matter of guts and will,” Thoth assured her.

“But still... I don't want to bet on that!”

Then, they heard a knock from outside before asking for permission to enter. The door opened and Akako entered while carrying a tray with two glasses of iced tea and some snacks.

“Oka-san wants me to give—” She stopped halfway after seeing Shirayuki's room.

“Oh, Akako? You're so considerate,” Shirayuki praised her.

“Nee-chan, are you seriously letting him stay in this kind of room?” she asked as Shirayuki looked around in her room.

“I just noticed... your room was quite a mess,” Thoth commented after looking around.

“Don't look!” Shirayuki yelled as she stood up.

But Thoth already made a complete look around her room even enough to see her used clothes on the floor and noticed underwear. Shirayuki swiftly leaped to that place and picked up her underwear.

“You saw it?” Her voice changed to something like a horrendous monster lurking at the Underworld.

“N-No! I didn't see a thing, Shirayuki-chan," he lied.

Again, Shirayuki blushed after hearing Thoth calling her. She immediately grabbed his outfit and shook him.

“What's with that -chan, huh?! That -chan?! I'm not a kid!!!” She continuously shaking him as he felt dizzy.

“No. You're a kid, Nee...  -chan.” Shirayuki looked at Akako and let go of Thoth.

“What's with that tone and attitude, Akako? I'm not a kid! Don't call me with -chan!” she insisted.

“No, no. That's what I always call you, Nee... -chan,” Akako replied with the glint of sarcasm.

“Ahhh! But now, I'm getting irritated with it! It's your fault, Ryouta! Wait! That's not the case here! Ahhh! Just get out!”

Shirayuki threw the two outside as she started cleaning her room. Thoth and Akako stood up in the hallway like students that were punished during class.

“She turned into something like a monster,” Thoth commented.

“Yeah, a monster,” Akako agreed.
