I Thought I Will Train Regarding My Power But I Ended Up Tending A Dagashi Shop - Second Task
She was somewhat bad in direction.
"Well, let's just ask." She hit the doorbell and an old lady opened the door. "Good afternoon, Oba-san. I'm from Takuya Dagashi Shop to deliver something to Kirimoto-san. Am I at the right place?" she said to the old lady.
"Oh? From Dai-kun—" She sneezed before she finished speaking.
"Do you have colds, Oba-san?" Shirayuki asked.
"Just a little, Ojou-chan." She sneezed again making Shirayuki worried.
"You better take a rest for now. Do you have someone with you today?" She looked inside but found no other shoes on the floor.
"No, I'm alone today. If it is not a bother, can you put that delivery to the kitchen, Ojou-chan?" the old lady asked for a favor.
"It's okay, Oba-san. Let's go inside." Shirayuki helped her to walk inside.
She somewhat had a soft spot for the elderly.
When they reached the kitchen, Shirayuki helped her sit on a chair before she put the box on the table. She wanted to help her in some ways but she still had some delivery.
"Oba-san, do you want something to drink?" Shirayuki asked.
"Oh? I was supposed to be the one to ask you that but I will take your offer."
Shirayuki went to the stove and put a kettle with water on it. She looked at the cabinet on something that will help the old lady in dealing with colds. Then, she remembered what her grandmother used to make for her, though it tasted not good.
Shirayuki opened the other stove and placed a pot with water before putting chops ginger. When the kettle was about to whistle, she readied the crushed basil, some thyme and rosemary in a strainer. Then, she heard her sneeze again.
When the water boiled, she turned off the first stove and picked the kettle. She poured it gently in the ready herbs, straining some solid components. After that, the pot also boiled so she turned off the other stove.
She poured the ginger tea in the teapot first before the herb tea. She gently mixed them as she was preparing a tea cup on a saucer. Then, she poured it on a teacup, serving it to the old lady.
"Oba-san, try to drink this. It doesn't taste good but it will help you to alleviate your colds," she said.
The old lady thanked her before drinking it. Even though she knew it didn't taste good, the old lady showed her that she enjoyed drinking it making her smile.
"Oba-san, you should drink this again before you sleep. There are still some at the teapot so just warm it. If you have some problem, you call this number through your phone. Most of all, take care of your health, Oba-san, okay?" Shirayuki explained to her even though she was worried.
"You're so kind, Ojou-chan," the old lady commented.
Shirayuki bid a farewell after staying some minutes. She left with a smile on her face before going to her other errand.
"So even if I don't use my power, I can help in my own way. It still makes me realize the responsibility for my power."
