Well, bad luck for her. Ben noticed. He was there during the voting round after Luke's departure.

He didn't mean to but hell, she was being too cringey to not notice. Hadn't Mr. Scott left the venue, after the voting,  she would've stuck to him like a leech. 

He huffs. All of this is Mr. Scott's fault. He can't set his boundaries straight and everybody takes it for granted. Ben takes his phone opening Mr. Scott's we-chat. 

Ben types an entire message sharing his frustration and complains. Then he deleted the long paragraphs with a pout. He closes the we-chat before opening reddit.

Hey folks, 

Update : I broke up with my boyfriend not in a good way. He tried to accuse me of cheating with my boss. 

Yes, you read it right. It was like murderer blaming the police for eating chicken. 

I tried to confront him about his cheating but it was of no use. He was so set with the idea of me and my boss, he didn't even listen. 

I don't know, if it was his plan to save his cheating career or it was a misunderstanding. But right now, we are over. 

I am not really sad over the breakup. I saw it comming. But I am frustrated over my boss and some of my co workers. They are giving me hard times. 

Anyways, right now, I am focusing on my cooking competition. I really want to make an unique dish in next challenge. 

Alan reads the entire update in one go. It's been a while since Ben last updated in this app. And today he wasn't expecting an update above all , an update saying he is giving a hard time to Ben. What did he do ? 

Alan frowns before clicking on the comments. 

Trash cleaning itself out. No need to explain anything to him. You move on. 

No misunderstanding. Your boyfriend falsely accused you for cheating to save his ass. 

Was it falsely though ? You didn't clarify if you have something going on with your boss ?

Alan scrolls through a bunch of comments but he didn't get the answer he was searching for. so. . He clicks on his keyboard.

Alan was about to close his screen when one comment struck to his eyes. 

Hey, not wanna ruin your privacy but I am really curious. Is your name initials B.A ? In my country there is a celebrity name B.A and today his bf accused him of cheating his with his boss. 

And that celebrity is in a cooking show. I just saw the video of the ugly fight. 

Alan sits straight with a serious look on his face. What video ? 

He was about to log out when his PA walks in his office with a panic "Sir, this is urgent."

Ben watches the video shared from a YouTube account named Page5. His feels a sudden urge to vomit. 

He social media is flooding with comments and hates. There is press gathered outside his hotel room. He finger trembles on top of his phone screen. 

Juliette takes her phone back from Ben's hand. "Don't read the comments and turn off your mobile for now." 

Ben bites his lips in worry "But, it's .. not truth. They are making up lies."

"Ben, calm down. Let your agency handle this. Miss Alina is already dealing with the press." 

Ben lowers his head. Why is it always him ? Whenever he takes one step towards his success, his fate pulls him two steps back. He covers his face with his palms. 

"Don't cry !" Juliette chimes in. 

Ben shakes his head "I am not crying. I am just frustrated. This is ..." 

Damaging your reputation. I know and I have a feeling someone deliberately uploaded the video to damage your reputation." Juliette sits beside Ben. 

"What am I supposed to do now ?" 

"Don't comment and don't read comments. It will die down soon. This video is only about baseless acquisition. They have no proof. So, your fans are fighting full force. Look at the hashtag." Juliette passes the phone to Ben opening the twitter. 

Ben reads the hashtags one by one. He finds his name on #5 We trust dead boy. 

Then #7Crazy Ex Boyfriend lies.

Ben clicks on that hashtag and opens a new page with tweets and retweet. 

"A nobody in celebrity chef. It was the first clue of something fishy. I feel sorry for Fred. #Ben-Arnold-piggybacking.

"Why do I feel like the director who was accused of siding Ben Arnold, is actually innocent. Maybe, Ben Arnold misused his affair to spoil Fred's new drama. #Ben-Arnold-is-mistress. 

"If Ben Arnold is piggybacking then Fredrick Thomson also piggybacked all these years. He has no real talent to be on the top either. #we-trust-dead-boy. 

"At least, Fredrick isn't a home wrecker. #Ben-arnold-is-mistress.

Ben closes the mobile screen with a sigh. He lies on the bed with a pout. "I am tired and I don't know what to do." 

"Take a rest and don't pick up your phone to read comments."

Alan clenches his jaw as he reads through the tweets. 

"Sir !" 

"Supress the video and find the owner of the account. I will take legal actions." Alan stands up, adjusting his coat. He needs to meet Ben before the Ben sees these ugly comments. 

"But sir, fans are asking mr. Ben out of the celebrity chef. Or they will boycott the show." 

"We need to make an official statement." Alina walks in the office exhausted. 

"We will. But I need to meet Ben before an official statement." 

Alina nods "Be careful. Ben had an argument with one of the participants today. And if he has seen the video, he wouldn't be in a good mood." 

"What argument?" Alan frowns. Ben didn't explain it in his post. Is it the hard time he was talking about ? 

"One of the participants Briana called him mistress." 

Alan closes his eyes before Opening his eyes with a sharp intake. "Release a statement, there is nothing between Ben Arnold and Me. He is just an employee under my company." 

Alina tilts her head "that's it ?" 

Alan looks at Alina "or what ?" 

Alina shrugs. "How would I know ? It's your call. Just don't regret it."
