With exams finally over, graduation day was fast approaching. However, instead of celebrating, Jain found himself growing restless. He still needed to make Wonwoo confess to him—it was the only way to complete the bet.
Feeling frustrated, he decided to clear his head and headed to the school ground, searching for the one person who had promised to help him. Spotting his friend, he called out, "Park!"
Park turned around and walked over. "What's up?"
"You promised to help me, so tell me—how do I make this bet end faster?" Jain demanded.
Park smirked. "Simple. Just confess to him first."
Jain's expression darkened. "Why the hell would I confess to him? The whole point of this bet is that he confesses to me!" he snapped in disgust.
Park sighed. "Calm down. Think about it—why would he confess again after you already rejected him once? He probably won't take that risk. So, if you confess first and convince him you truly love him, he'll eventually confess to you in front of everyone."
Jain processed the idea and, after a moment, his lips curled into a satisfied smirk. "Fine. I'll make the first move."
With the new semester beginning, their homeroom teacher rearranged the seating chart. To Jain's advantage, he and Wonwoo ended up as desk mates.
During the last lecture of the day, Jain casually scribbled a message in his notebook:
"Are you free this weekend?"
He slid the notebook over to Wonwoo, who noticed and read the question. Raising an eyebrow, Wonwoo wrote back, "Yeah, why?"
Jain leaned in slightly, a mischievous glint in his eyes. Lowering his voice to a whisper, he said, "Because I want to go on a date with you."
Wonwoo's eyes widened as a deep blush spread across his face. Startled, he pulled away. "D-Don't joke around like that," he stammered.
Jain reached out, gently grabbing Wonwoo's wrist. With a serious expression, he asked, "Do I look like I'm joking? Or... are you indirectly rejecting me?" His voice carried a hint of fake sadness.
Wonwoo hesitated before nodding softly. "...I'll go."
Jain smirked, clearly pleased. "Say that again."
Flustered, Wonwoo turned away. "I said I'll go," he muttered.
Jain chuckled. "Louder."
Frustrated and embarrassed, Wonwoo finally shouted, "I SAID I'LL GO!"
The entire class turned to look at them. The teacher sighed, rubbing their temples. "Both of you—stand outside."
Jain let out a laugh while Wonwoo groaned, burying his face in his hands.
