The atmosphere crackled with tension as Nari's scream ripped through the air. "Ahh!" she cried, the deafening sound of the gunshot still ringing in her ears. But before the realization could sink in, Minho lunged forward, tackling her to the ground just as the bullet shattered a lamp behind them.
"Nari!" he shouted, his voice cutting through her panic. She gasped as his body shielded hers, their breaths mingling in the stillness.
Harry cocked his head, his calm demeanor betraying a sinister intent. "It's not personal," he said, leveling the gun again. "Just following orders."
"What orders?!" Nari demanded, fury overtaking her fear as she wriggled free from Minho's grasp. Her mind raced, her instincts sharpened. "You were supposed to be....".
Harry smirked. "Friendship's overrated, mate."
Before he could pull the trigger again, Nari sprang into action. Her martial arts training surged to the forefront, her movements swift and precise. She kicked the gun out of Harry's hand, sending it skidding across the floor.
"You're messing with the wrong person, sweetie," she snarled, her stance battle-ready.
The confrontation took a darker turn as the door burst open. Black-clad figures stormed in, their presence a chilling reminder of the larger forces at play. "We need to move, now!" Minho barked, grabbing her arm and yanking her toward the back of the room.
"This isn't over, Harry!" Nari shouted as they darted through the narrow corridor, adrenaline fueling every step.
The pair stumbled into a dimly lit alley, ducking behind a stack of garbage bins. Their breaths came in ragged gasps, the weight of their escape pressing heavily on them.
Nari shot Minho a sharp look, her words trembling but resolute. "I don't trust you," she hissed. "But I need your help."
He raised an eyebrow, a faint smirk tugging at his lips. "Trust is overrated, too," he said dryly, echoing Harry's earlier remark. "But let me guess. You want to find your family."
Her eyes narrowed. "Don't act like you know me."
Minho's smirk faded. "I know enough," he replied, his tone softening. "And I'll help you. But I need something in return."
Nari's stomach churned. "What do you want?"
Minho his voice low but firm. "The blueprints for your lab's project."
Her expression shifted to confusion and alarm. "What? How do you even know about that?"
"That project is the key," he said, his eyes locking onto hers. "To everything."
