Wonwoo and Jain had decided to go on their date over the weekend. When the day finally arrived, Jain showed up early at Wonwoo's house.
As Wonwoo stepped outside and saw Jain waiting for him, a wave of nervousness hit him. He took a deep breath and muttered to himself, Calm down. It's just a date between two friends. Don't panic.
Walking up to Jain, he asked, "What are you doing here so early?"
Jain flashed a playful smile, leaned in closer, and gently stroked Wonwoo's cheek. "I just missed you so much."
Wonwoo's face instantly turned crimson, his entire body tensing up. Seeing his reaction, Jain smirked. "Do you have a fever? You're completely red."
Flustered, Wonwoo panicked and stomped his foot. "I-It's because of you!" he blurted before quickly turning away and walking ahead.
Jain chuckled, watching Wonwoo's reaction with satisfaction. The plan is working perfectly, he thought, feeling pleased.
As they strolled down the busy streets, Jain casually asked, "Can I hold your hand?"
Wonwoo's heart skipped a beat. He turned to Jain, slightly flustered. "Why do you want to hold hands?"
Jain smirked. "Isn't it obvious? We're on a date."
Wonwoo hesitated for a moment. "It's not that I don't want to... I just—"
"Are you worried I'd be uncomfortable?" Jain interrupted. "Don't overthink it. I was the one who asked, wasn't I?"
Before Wonwoo could respond, Jain confidently took his hand, intertwining their fingers. "Let's go shopping first," he said with a grin.
At that moment, Wonwoo felt like time had slowed down. If only this moment could last a little longer, he thought, savoring the warmth of Jain's hand in his.
