Jain led Wonwoo through the streets, their hands still clasped together. Wonwoo's heart was racing, but he didn't dare pull away. He told himself it was just part of the date, but deep down, he wasn't sure if he wanted to let go.
After browsing a few stores, Jain stopped in front of a clothing shop. "Let's go in," he said, pulling Wonwoo along.
"I don't need anything," Wonwoo mumbled.
"I do," Jain replied smoothly, giving Wonwoo a wink.
Inside, Jain started picking out clothes, occasionally holding up a shirt and asking Wonwoo, "Do you think this looks good on me?"
Each time, Wonwoo's face would heat up as he stuttered out an answer.
Seeing Wonwoo's reactions, Jain grinned and picked up a white sweater. "Try this one."
"Huh?" Wonwoo blinked.
"I think white would look good on you," Jain said, pushing him toward the fitting room.
Feeling flustered but unable to refuse, Wonwoo took the sweater and stepped inside to try it on. When he came out, Jain's eyes widened slightly.
"...It really suits you," Jain said, his usual teasing tone softening for a moment.
Wonwoo, caught off guard, looked away. "T-Then I'll buy it."
Jain smirked. "No need. I'll buy it for you."
"No way," Wonwoo protested.
"Why not? Think of it as a gift... from your date," Jain teased.
Wonwoo sighed, feeling cornered, but he let Jain pay for it.
After leaving the shop, they continued walking, stopping by a small café. Jain ordered for both of them, and as they sat down, he rested his chin on his hand and studied Wonwoo.
"You know," Jain began, "you're cute when you're flustered."
Wonwoo nearly choked on his drink. "W-What are you saying?!"
Jain laughed. "Just telling the truth."
The moment felt lighthearted, but Jain knew exactly what he was doing. He was following Park's advice—pull Wonwoo in, make him believe, and wait for him to confess.
But what Jain didn't expect was the way his own heart was starting to race too.
Wasn't this just a game?
Then why did it feel so real?
