The story goes a long time ago, there lived a man who loved his youngest daughter very much each night he'd come up with stories to read to her and would amaze her with fantastic books of his own writing. But one day, the man's daughter had grown sick and without a cure back then to her illness she died shortly after. In his grief, he vowed to read a story so amazing at her grave that she would come down from the heavens and claim her body back. He searched months and months for the perfect story to read to her but no avail.

But one day, the man fell into cave of some sorts, and there he found a small gap in the fabric of reality, the man with his weak and tired hand reached in, and from that gap came pages which in he could write in, but as he wrote he noticed what he had wrote came to life around him. He had written himself a great Temple to write in and then wrote people with amazing powers to live there. He soon had written an entire civilization and even remarried and had another child. The child looked excatly like his previous daughter, and he had belived his quest was done.

And so he gave the pages of his magical writings to his new daughter, hoping she would give more life to the town and the world, but his new daughter seemed to resent her fathers powers and blamed him for giving her a meaningless life she never asked for. So one night under the darkness of night, deep in the caves Temple, she wrote down a terrible darkness that rose from the pages and destroyed the mans work.

The man outraged by his daughter had taken up his pen once again and used it to give the people of his village an incredible gift, the gift of magic and powers of healing, to which the people used to defeat the darkness and soon the daughter who gave this darkness life. The man himself had struck his daughter down and sealed her into a great seal inside the cave never to die but never to live again, a perpetuial limbo. The man stricken with grief had enough of his magic pages and ripped his book into shreds and scattered them across the nation in Temples he had made himself using the books powers and sealed them away for good, so no one can read his stories ever again.

But there are some who say that the man left behind a sequence of pages that dictates that if the world is ever endanger again, the book will give whomever reads it great power. He had sealed it among many other artifacts from the battle.

In the present, researchers and scholars have tried to open these temples but to no avail. Only those worthy of the gifts or have the strength to break down the metal doors could be worth of the man's gifts.

This is where a boy's journey begins, in the city of light known as Azrect. The city was built before a war had started and was the only city built with modern technology. See the world had fallen into war between a single man had risen up to great power, with his massive powers and armies he obtained, most of the eastern areas were taken down and Azrect the city of light was torn down and burned by this wicked man's forces. They soon made their forces stronger with the introduction of Magitanks, tanks powered by magic and advanced technologies that could decimate an army is seconds. Across the pond, lived a small continent called Gaurdinia, which head long took on the evil forces that ravanged the eastern islands and there they stood an epic conflict for ages. 

But what the armies didn't know on the day Azrect fell, a man and woman whom where in charge of the resistance had fled to a small remote town with their children. Ichiro who was a small boy at the time of the raid and his new born sister who was just birthed while fleeing the troops. Unfortunatly, only a single year had passed by as the village they hid inside was attacked and during the raid of their new home, Ichiro's parents were killed by an elite force named the Death Knights. The Death Knights are a group of highly skilled Magiknights that were so cruel their names were erased and they were given a single word to be called by, this would disown their humanity so they wouldn't feel guilt or inhumane about killing thousands of innocent people. Ichiro at this time was hidden in a secret room underneath the flooring, as the soldiers passed by and taken their leave.

After everyone had died, Ichiro and his baby sister had been left behind alone and now without family. Ichiro had one mission to raise and care for his baby sister which he named Sopheal. Sopheal and Ichiro grew up together as orphans of war, Ichiro doing all the chores as Sopheal grew up into a woman. At the same time, a refugee camp full of war strucken victims had pasted by and taken the siblings under their wings and together they rebuilt the town in honor of those who died in the war. 

The high priest had casted a spell that hid them from the armies and soldiers, giving peace to the land of New Azrect, which was named after Ichiro's old town and the structure that once gave people hope. Ichiro and Sopheal grew up under the care of the High Priest and was taught magic and combat, together they trained and battled many monsters on their own. They grew up to be a duo unlike any other being a natural at magics and swordsmenship. Ichiro was then promoted to the elader of the town gaurd on his 25th birthday on which Sopheal had also turned 15, for you see they were born on the same day but different years which Ichiro still to this day calls Sopheal the birthday present that's worth more than anything he could be given.

But as the village of New Azrect had celebrated, a new threat attacked the capital and had overthrown the king of Gaurdinia. As the kings last act, he had his wife and a dozen soldiers flee with their youngest daughter, whom was 10 at the time, and make a base where they could never find her and to train her in the arts of the old. The forces killed the king and war had been lost as more and more towns were taken over by the forces. Soon the world was left in darkness.

No hope, no light, no way out. One man conquered the world and the world grew into a mess of poverty and sadness. Everyone gave up hope all but one special village hidden away from the darkness and had two of the strongest weilders of magic the world has yet to be seen.
