“Fantasy” I said after thinking about the question.
“Cool,” Henry said “Mine is Mystery. Or Thrillers."
“They’re good too,” I pointed out. “I have a shelf on the bookshelf with mystery and thrillers,” I added.
“Woah, can I look at some?” Henry asked. “I wanna see
if there's some I think I would like.” He added.
“Sure” I said “One I think is good for you is ‘The good lie’, But I don’t know if you can handle it.” I recommended him.
“Okay, I’m gonna try to find it and see if it’s my style.” He said. While Henry was looking for the book, I just stared at him.
I laid down and closed my eyes. He sure is helpful and kind, I thought to myself. After a bit he came over to me with a stack of books. I was surprised with how many therewere in the stack. One..two..three..I started to count. Does he like ten of my books?
“I found some that sounded interesting, but ‘The good’- something didn't sound very interesting to me.” He said.
"Okay. Wanna borrow those books and take them home?” I asked.
“Yes, thank you” Henry answered with excitement in his voice. After he answered we heard the doorbell ring that silly ringtone it always does when someone is here. Ding, dong, ding, dong…Ding, ding, ding, dong.
“That must be your mother,” I said in a low tone.
We went downstairs. Henry helped me down because I couldn't really walk or stand on my leg that much. As we were going down my mother yelled that Mrs Fernglade was here. After he left I went outside to the porch to watch him leave and waved. I waved first then he smiled and waved back. Then I went back inside. And my mum helped me into my room and started to read Alice from Wonderland. I read for a while when my mum came into the room with a tray of her chocolate chip cookies.
