The curiosity of what, who, where - is Animatronix, an unknown artist / artists who appeared in the underbelly of the Outer Territories and suddenly disappeared has left a mark in the musical plates of consumers for over a century, even stretching as far in the Galactic Council itself! But what exactly could the anomaly that is "Animatronix" be? Well for starters, you may be confused, shocked, engaged and possibly even flabbergasted! How could the Galactic Council permit media from the Outer Territories to be streamlined and popularized in its domain? Well the truth is, it's not the first time! The Galactic Council, every now and then allows a limited number of media that is submitted for approval every few decades (the Galactic Council has the righteous authority to cancel any new wave of imported media). This past decade included artists like "Chasing Still Lights" , "Dr. Novacore", "Flesh Tsunami", "Crystal Soul" "Dark Spear" and last but not least, "Animatronix"
The popularity of Animatronix soared above all others. but not because it was new....but because it was allowed - That's right, Animatronix was one of the very, very few artist / artists that was able to scathe through the "Advanced Audio Detection Network" of the Galactic Protectorate for quite some time before being picked up. A well known Senator of Opanious discovered a track named "Miracle" - with no credits given, the Senator put the song through an app called "Jam-Hunter" after results came back, it was then realized by the Senator that the artist was of an "outer" nature. It was dangerous to listen to this without authorization, in Council law, it's not illegal to unknowingly consume a piece of media but it is illegal to not report it within 30 minutes of discovering that key factor, so the Senator quickly made a report, and opted to sign their name in recommending it be added to the Galactic Media Database.
Typically, when signing to add content to the Galactic Media Database, citizens must be willing to sign and chip in 5 SoCreds minimum. Once approved, a review of the media will be conducted by the Media Ethics Board. The Senator putting their name and adding 500 credits isn't typically rare, but makes noise in the news for quite some time, and more than likely gets it approved.
After approval, more Animatronix tracks began to appear over the period of many decades, each one at first not in the database, yet all carrying a unique data signature that when examined, had the credentials of the very name "Animatronix"
It's widely known to the Outer Territories that their "content" is unwanted for the most part, rightfully so. After news of this event, more "content" seemed to try and get through the border, to which many more often than not, fail.
So now Animatronix is in the charts for music across the Council, it's catchy tunes and non-linear sounds make it something worth noting!
