One withdraws his katana and observes the elevator number go up. Then he grabs the crack of the elevator and fries it open with ease. He pokes his head out to see what is inside the elevator. He steps back, then jumps inside the elevator and grabs the elevator cord. Then, he proceeds to climb the cord as fast as he can. VH sits in a corner of the elevator, shocked by what just happened. The pain in his head comes back again, still ringing. The elevator opens on the 25th floor and stops. The door opens slowly, and he looks around… the alarm has stopped. The lights still flicker in the empty hallway where he stands. He stands up and walks into the hallway.

VH enters the 25th floor, and he continues to run. VH figures that it’s a two-part elevator. Whereas the lower half is 25 - 50th, and 25 - 1st is a different set of elevators. Meanwhile, One continues to climb up the elevator cables, and he calls his partner, but he does not answer any of his calls.

“Where is that guy? I’m pretty sure he isn’t on any missions yet, and why isn’t he answering his phone?” One shakes his head.

As VH continues to run around searching for the next elevator, his head starts to hurt once again. One arrives at the bottom of the elevator and unsheathes his katana. He slices the bottom of the elevator, creating a hole. He climbs out of the hole and tosses himself upwards to the 25th floor. He looks around for any signs of the kid, and he hears footsteps in the distance.

VH’s headache got stronger, and he couldn’t help but kneel in the middle of the office floor. He starts screaming in pain as he holds onto an office cubicle.

“There you are…” One found VH lying down in a fetal position in the middle of the office. One walks towards VH, then he unsheathes his katana and looks down at him.

“Are you ready to die, VH?” One’s blade starts to sparkle and crack with electricity.

VH crawls away to One with fear and bloodlust in his eyes. His headache continues to grow stronger, and One slowly follows him around. One sighs and kicks VH at the stomach, and He is sent flying into a metal cabinet.

While One is speaking, VH is focusing on dampening down the pain that keeps getting stronger. One’s kick did not hurt VH due to the immense pain from the headache. VH screams in pain while he holds his head. One walks towards him again, and he repeatedly kicks him over and over.

“Now die.” One unsheathes his sword, and a surge of dark aura bursts on VH’s body. One jumps away, tightens his grip on the sword, and aims it at VH’s body. VH stands up from the ground and stretches his body. VH emanates another wave of dark aura, and he starts healing his body. “Well… Well… Well…” VH’s eyes glow light purple and tilt his head while he glares at One. VH’s voice has a distortion and echoes through the room. Something is wrong here… One stands firmly in his position, and he did not leave VH in his sight.

“You killed those two soldiers earlier with no hesitation. You also tried to kill me too Why? Give me a proper answer or you will die.” VH slowly walks toward One while fixing the broken shoulder.

One did not hesitate to tell the truth, and if he lies now, he might die. “Someone ordered me to kill all of you, that is all.”

“So you are simply an underling. How embarrassing…” VH stands up in the middle of the office and gazes around the place. “Since you tried to kill me earlier, it would be fair to… Retaliate back… Right?” VH grins, and he rushes to One directly, but he manages to dodge the punch by an inch. The lethal blow hit and cracked the wall, causing it to crumble into pieces.

“Come on now, are you scared of me? You were just beating me to death a while ago.” VH walks toward One slowly.

Alien? I don’t think this kid is an alien. He isn’t from our planet, but this one takes the cake. One looks at VH cautiously.

VH rushes toward one, and this time, he grazes his cheeks. Then he stumbles into an office cubicle and onto the wall.

“What the… How are you keeping up with me?” One's eyes lock onto VH, and he jumps away.

“Oh, I missed it? I thought I hit you.” VH rises from the rubble, and without any hesitation, he rushes towards him again.

“I’m adapting to your skill gradually, and the more I fight you, the more I learn everything from you.” VH manages to land a heavy punch to One, but he blocks it using his unsheathed sword. The sword has a small crack in the middle, and its arms are shaking. One drops his sword, and he raises up his fist so they can fight hand to hand. 

“Damn, that was heavy…” One shakes off his hands and prepares for another hit.

VH roars, and the dark waves of his aura hit everything. Making the 25th floor and the foundation shake. VH teleports in front of One, and he has no time to react. All he could do was to survive the punch. VH keeps on punching One repeatedly, and each hit is getting heavier.

“I don’t have a choice but to use my current ability for this damn kid…”  A spike of adrenaline rush comes through One’s body and emits a small explosion that shakes the foundation of the base. Then a surge of electricity starts to crawl back and forth from One’s body. “What's this? Is this another petty trick of yours?” VH brushes off the dust on his shoulders.

“No, I don’t want to use this here since I don't want to get buried alive after this is finished.” One cracks his fingers and smiles.

General Alcaeus picks up his radio and tells everyone to evacuate the facility, but he still stays in his office.

“Damn you One why did you not wait for Him to show up.” The general continues to sit down and ponder. The few soldiers barged in to offer help to the general.

“General, follow us, sir!” General Alcaeus nods and orders them to evacuate instead. He tells them he will stay at the office.

VH powers up a little more, but he stumbles, forcing his body to kneel on the ground. The black aura swirls around him once again. The time seems to have slowed down once more, and everything looks so still. One teleports in front of VH, and he kicks him immediately. Then VH was sent into multiple rooms. 

“This time I won't hold back, and I'm going to end you. Even though you are a kid, you have shown enough prowess to fight against me. This time I won’t be merciful, so heed my advice while you have time and run away from here.” He picks up his sword and unsheathes it, and this time he applies an electrical charge to it. The ground sparks and crackles as he walks towards VH.

Meanwhile, in VH’s consciousness

Where am I, and what am I doing here?

He keeps on running to the empty void; it feels like an endless cycle of life and death. 

Dark foggy smoke starts to crawl around him, engulfing his entire body. He feels like he will be suffocated by an unknown entity that is swallowing him.

What is this place? 

He kept looking around, and he saw a small shimmering light from a distance. He was running towards it as soon as possible, but it felt like he was running on a loop.

Back to reality…

“What just happened back there… Damn, my head starts to hurt again…”

VH looks around to find One, and he is walking to him slowly. VH stands up from the rubble and stabilizes his stance. One tilts his head, and he rushes towards him. VH dodges the attack, and he breaks the sword in half. One stumbles from the counterattack, and he jumps behind VH and grabs the small dagger behind his back. Right after One lands behind VH, he slashes and stabs him in the back.

“Too slow.” One said it coldly behind his back.

Instead of falling down, VH is now enraged, and he turns his whole body around to kick One on the face. Then he grabs One’s face, and he starts tossing his body like a rag doll. He tosses him upwards and punches him in the stomach while he is in mid-air. One bounces off the ceiling, and the moment that One is about to hit the floor, VH kicks him in the stomach, sending him to another room.

“Ugh! My head feels like it’s exploding!!!” VH roars from the pain, and it feels excruciating. The black aura starts to surround his body once more like a veil, healing the injuries. One is wheezing on the ground, and he struggles to get up. He can’t believe that a kid like him is outclassing him in every way. 

“I-I have to get up…” One starts coughing.

VH suddenly speaks in an ancient language, and the air gets even denser. The pressure alone can make a person suffocate. VH’s eyes glow purple, and he starts scanning the room once again. The room starts to clear out, and the smoke and debris are clearing.

“Come out, come out wherever you are...” While the dark aura starts to surround his body slowly.

“What language was that?” One pants while he still can’t get up from the rubble.

VH hears One from a distance and then rushes towards him. He looks down while He is floating in the air. He lands his feet on his chest and starts pressing it very slowly. 

“How pathetic a human like you who is trying their best to fight someone like me.” VH drags One by the hair to the elevator, and he sees the hole that One created earlier.

“So this is how you get on this floor.” One squirms around at the hold, but he is too weak to do so. VH tosses One at the elevator hole, and he sees him fall into darkness. VH walks away and stops, then he looks back.

“Just to be safe.” VH forms a black energy ball from his hand and fires it at the top of the elevator. The elevator explodes, and the debris falls down, then VH walks away.
