VH’s body washes ashore on a small island, and he wakes up a couple of hours later. Birds are flocking around his body while the crabs are roaming nearby, and some seagulls squawk in the distance.

Back on the Island Vráchos, Kyuuzaki calls General Alcaeus and tells him what happened. "So, can you care to explain what he is? The file that you gave me didn’t match what I have just seen. Who is this kid?” Kyuuzaki asks General Alcaeus as he looks for straight answers.

“Well, he isn't from our planet nor from the other colonies that we know of. All we knew was he might be an alien or a demonic creature, or something in a mix. This was based on the previous encounters we had in the past.” General Alcaeus sighs.

“Well, how did you find him, and why didn't you contain him before?

“There was a crash in the city eight years ago, and we thought it was a meteor strike. We simply ignored it and let the other groups take care of it. Then someone took a close look, and it wasn’t a meteor. It was a transporting ship based on its design, and it was heavily damaged. Our people rushed to the area, but all we found was an empty ship.” General Alcaeus continues to explain.

“Ok, that explains a lot, but how did you know that this kid specifically was the one who came from the ship?” Kyuuzaki doubts the credibility of the claim that the general has given.

“I’m about to explain that, but I was about to say it now. We may have found an empty ship, but there was a crib-like structure built on the ship. So put out a search team and speculated that there is an unknown kid who was brought here. So, we started searching for a kid who is under the age of 4 in three different cities.” General Alcaeus continues to explain.

“All those searching, did you find anything?” Kyuuzaki continues to ask.

“Yes, but it took us eight gruesome years to locate where the kid was, and as the time went by, it became harder for us to track. Until one guy was found doing certain things out of the ordinary. Even though it may look normal to others, for people like us, it’s not. A scientist named Dr. Ryuse found the boy and raised him as his own.”

“That’s a very dedicated research on what you have done, but what happened to the ship that crashed?” Kyuuzaki asks with interest in his voice.

“It’s still intact at the same location, but there were locals who chose to move away from it. Some of them might have forced them to move away from the site, and now the area is pretty much abandoned.” General Alcaeus opens some of the papers and continues his work.

“This area interests me. Where is this place?” Kyuuzaki began to open his map.

“Well, we are on this island, it’s south of where we are right now.” The general continues to rummage through his papers.

“Wait, it’s in that city? Well I’ll be damned no wonder it took you years to find him.” Kyuuzaki was shocked, and he began to search the route.

“Yes, it is, and if you want to go there, you have my permission.” Kyuuzaki hangs up the phone and walks up to One to check on him. The soldiers are still taking care of him. He orders a search party to find the kid who escaped from the base. Then he calls out to another party that they will go to the southern city, and bring one along with him.

Meanwhile, at the beach, VH starts walking around, and he is confused about what happened. He continues to walk around, and he takes a big stick as his weapon.

“What just happened…” VH looks around the beach, and a dense forest is in front of him.

His memories feel foggy, and his body was too exhausted to stand up. Then he started to remember small fragments of what happened to him. Since the last thing he could clearly remember was Hikari and Daku dying in front of him. While some assassin named “One” was chasing them down to the elevator, and passed out after being chased by him.

“Oh god…. Those two people who saved me are dead, right? Also, why am I here outside on a beach? What happened to me?” 

He kneels, and he starts crying. A couple of minutes later, He takes a deep breath and starts to calm himself down. Then start assessing the current situation he is in, and he is still confused why he is outside to an unknown island. 

“What was their name... Hikari and Daku?” He gathers some stones, and he creates a grave-like structure. Then he pierced a cross on top of the stone grave that he built. 

“Thank you for saving me, and I will avenge your death.” VH wipes up his tears.

Since no one knows him except for the people who are chasing him so he came up with a name that will represent Daku and Hikari’s names. By combining them both, he figures that “Hikaru” is the best suited for his new alias.

He takes the big stick that he took earlier, and he walks away from the makeshift grave. While he is walking through the forest, he starts to think about what happened to him. Since everything was a blur, he also noticed that his headache was gone. But he also feels something was missing from him, and he is bothered by this.

As the search party starts to move out, Kyuuzaki heads to the southern city where the ship landed seven years ago. One finally comes back into his senses and rises from the stretcher as he looks around. 

“Ah, looks who is finally awake!” Kyuuzaki laughs at One.

“Ah, great, it’s you… Anyways, where am I?” One groans in pain while his body is covered with white bandages. 

“We are heading to the city where VH landed. This can also help us understand what he is, and we can use that against him in the future.” Kyuuzaki taps on the map on his wrist and looks back at One.

“Planning like usual… So what’s next, Kyuuzaki?” One lies back on his stretcher again, and he looks at the ceiling.

“The general ordered me to help you on your mission because you failed to execute the target.” Kyuuzaki says it with a mocking tone about him for having a skill issue.

“Well, did you meet the kid? He was pretty strong and managed to put out a good fight." One still groans from the pain of the fall from the elevator.

“Ah, the great Assassin who kills everyone by one swoop fails, and gets beaten up by an unknown kid.” Kyuuzaki laughs while he is reading the files of VH again

“Just shut up, will you? I've never encountered something like this before.” One crosses his arms and looks at the ceiling.

“And yes, I did fight him just for a little bit, but I saw him injured, I think? So I just let him go.” Kyuuzaki shrugs it off.

“Of course you would do that...Then you're gonna hunt them like an animal later. Is this why we are going to go somewhere to take our time, and prepare if we somehow fail?” One closes his eyes and smirks.

“Yes, the general assigned us to a highly classified target, so we have to be wary of our enemy.” Kyuuzaki continues to study the file. 

“Orders are orders, but I won't rat you on this one. Since the one we are chasing is a strong one, I'll give this one an exception.” One smiles.

“Uh-huh. Anyways, take a rest now, it's going to be a long flight. It would take like 6 hours give or take.” Kyuuzaki leaves the room, and One continues sleeping.

Back at the Unknown island, VH wanders in the forest, and he sits down to take a rest. The sound of the birds is creating a peaceful ambiance in the air. The silence is broken after someone calls for help. He is confused about where it is coming from because he could not pinpoint the sounds.

“Where is that coming from?” VH grabs his big stick and starts looking around to find the source of the voice.

“Sorry to disturb you, but I'm communicating to you telephatically. Please don’t be frightened when you hear me.”

“Can you stop talking to my head? Show yourself!” VH continues to wave around his stick.

“Alright, I will show myself, but don’t be shocked if you see me.” VH looks around the trees, and he is wary of a possible ambush. A silhouette of an animal came into the light. A white fox flew down from the trees with a severe injury on its side. He is still wary because it might be a trap, and someone might be using the fox as bait. He points the stick towards the floating fox and looks around again. 

“What kind of creature are you, and how are you floating in the air?” VH continues to point the stick.

“My name is Krista, and I'm a snow fox that escaped from a lab that is not far away from here, and what is your name?”
VH looks at the injured fox and introduces himself with his new alias. Since it will be a fresh start for him, even for a little bit.

“My name is Hikaru, and what happened to you?” Hikaru lowers his stick while he is still looking up at the fox.

“I was being hunted by a werewolf, and somehow I managed to escape from him. Although he might be resting at the moment because the sun is setting.” The fox latches onto a small branch.

“What you just said does not make sense. How can a werewolf rest at night… Aren’t they known for being nocturnal?” Hikaru gave Krista a confused look. 

“Well, this werewolf is very active during the day, but he is not so active during the night.”

Hikaru is annoyed that he did not get a straight-up answer, so he simply brushed it off for now. “A werewolf that does not hunt during the night? Ok, that is interesting…”
