The Truth of The Abyss

Chapter 3: The Plan, Part 2

Chapter 3: The Plan, Part 2

May 07, 2025

After six hours, One and Kyuuzaki finally arrive at the nearly abandoned city, and they land in an empty park. There is no light around the place and only silence. There was no heavy pressure air, just a mild blowing of the wind.

When they land the aircraft, they start setting up a small camp in the empty park. Then they start looking around.

“Alright, I think I'm feeling better now, so when do we start?” One rises from the stretcher. “I mean, we can start later since it’s in the middle of the night, but let's try to find the ship. After that, we should scout that area in case someone is watching us.” Kyuuzaki grabs his small circular drones.

“I don’t think someone is here, but I'll scout the premises while you try to find the ship.” One leaves and heads around the place.

Kyuuzaki starts to explore the area and he finds a huge debris. He could no tell if it’s the ship or a part of it. So he called one to come over on his position.

“So is this the ship?” One looks around at the huge debris.

“I think so, but I think it’s only part of the ship.” Kyuuzaki continues to look around.

One ran around the area with his flashlight on and constructed the area inside his head.

“This is an alien ship or some sort, but, weirdly, there are turrets on this ship.” One stands beside Kyuuzaki again.

“Alright then, if this is the ship he was talking about, I'm going to call General Alcaeus to inform him that we have arrived on the location.” As One runs around, he saw a huge dent around the wing area of the the ship, and informed Kyuuzaki about it.

“Well now I understand why he ended up landing on this planet… Kyuuzaki, where do you think he is heading?” One touches the damaged part of the ship.

“Why are you asking me that? Anyways the general is finally awake, i’m going to share the call with you.” Kyuuzaki shakes his head and put the phone on speaker.

“Good morning, I will assume that you have arrived at the location.” General Alcaeus is still on the bed.

“Yes, we found the ship, and it looks abandoned. I don’t think the kid has been in this area.” Kyuuzaki and one continue to walk around while they see a door.

“That was our theory as well, but you can freely search the area if you want to. Just come back here once you’re done, and we can discuss more things about the future.”

“Roger that!” Kyuuzaki and One nod.

Kyuuzaki hangs off the phone and turns it off. While they are walking around the plane, one asks a serious question.

“Kyuuzaki, do you think this kid is evil?” One ask on him on a serious tone.

“I don't know. Why are you asking me? Didn’t you fight him?” Kyuuzaki brushes off the question.

“Well, due to my thirst for seeking potential strong opponents, I may have crossed the line. Since I killed two of our soldiers right infront front of him. Since those two soldiers  betrayed us.” One looks around while stretching.

“You did that right in front of the kid, why?” Kyuuzaki facepalms on his actions and sighs.

“I mean, they were getting away with what do you want me to do? Watch them run?” One shrugs it off.

“Anyways, I will go on ahead and find any useful information on the area.” One left Kyuuzaki and he went around the abandoned ship.

One jumps off and goes to the other side of the site, continuing their search. Meanwhile, Kyuuzaki is searching for a door so he can investigate more thoroughly. After a few minutes of running around, he finds a door, but it is blocked by fallen debris. He grabs the debris and tosses it aside. He goes through the door and spots two shiny objects shimmering in the darkness. He wonders if there are any traps set nearby.

One starts to wonder where Kyuuzaki is. First, he tries to communicate with him using the radio, but there is no answer. He begins scanning the area, but all he sees is a blue tint on the screen—no sign of heat signatures.

Kyuuzaki remains unaware that his radio is jammed and continues venturing deeper into the ship. He grabs the small shiny shard and examines it, confused about its material. One of them is etched with a fire symbol and the other purple, marked with unfamiliar symbols. Then he picks up a small box and places the shard inside. He keeps searching and discovers a highly advanced computer system that is damage.

“Kyuuzaki, where are you? Are you in danger? Over.” One did not receive any answer.

Kyuuzaki takes photos of the computer and proceeds to find an “on” switch. He starts kicking the computer, putting his palm on a bizarre place, waving through the air, and shouting “Open” in multiple alien languages he knows. He is pissed off and starts slamming all the buttons. Eventually, the computer opens, and he begins to understand how it functions. Then he proceeds to extract information about it. Even though he has no idea what kind of language it is presented in, he just ignores it and finds the patterns. A few minutes pass, and he manages to uncover a message, but it’s in an ancient demon language. He proceeds to copy the file and heads out of the ship.

“Where are you?” Kyuuzaki came out in the dark.

One jumps out of shock and lands on top of a metal debris. “Where the hell were you?!”

“Oh, went inside and found information that can help us, but it’s in a language that I can’t understand.” Kyuuzaki ponders the information.

“Let me give it a try. I probably know it, and decrypt it somehow.” One says in a confident tone.

“Alright, suit yourself.” Kyuuzaki hands over the usb to him, and plugs it on his suit like system.

“Ah, it’s a demon language… I don’t recognize it, but I know what it is.” One is shocked by the scriptures.

“Demon? Well, that confirms that the kid is a part demon or an actual demon race.” Kyuuzaki put his finger under his chin.

“I believe this is an ancient demon language, but I cant understand it at all. Even though i recognize some words.” One squints his eyes trying to piece the inscriptions together.

“Do you find anything useful in what you are currently reading?” Kyuuzaki looks at One intensely, and looks at the inscriptions.

“Well, this will sound bizarre, but I can read this word…. It’s called ‘Qoxaria’.” One scratches his head.

“The name sounds similar, and I think I have read it somewhere. Hold on, let me search it up…” Kyuuzaki begins to tap on his own screen, looking for the name.

“Alright, while you are doing that, I'll prepare the plane so we can triangulate where he can be.” One waved and went inside their aircraft.

“I’ll let you know once I find something.” Kyuuzaki nods and walks in circles.

Fifteen mins have gone by, Kyuuzaki walks toward their plane, and he forgot to mention the strange shard that he found inside the ship. One is in a passenger chair taking his medicine, and looks at him.

“So did you get any results on what that word is?” One ask after he took the medicine.

“No, but I forgot to mention earlier that I found something inside the ship.” Kyuuzaki grabs the item from the back of his pocket.

“What is it?”

After Kyuuzaki grabs the small box, he opens it right infront of him. One was astonished by it, and he looked closer at the shard.

“That looks very identical to runes here on Xera, but that has a fire symbol on it.” One looks closer at the fire shard.

“Right, since yours was a thunder symbol.” Kyuuzaki nods and closes the small case.

“Well, we don't know why this ship has a fire rune, but anyway, I’ll head back to the cockpit. It’s your option if you want to report that or not. I won't rat you out on this because it’s interesting to see how this will go down.”

One stands up and walks away, and he went to the cockpit. While Kyuuzaki was reminiscing about telling it to the general, One called him to the front.

“So there are several islands around the Island Vráchos where VH can be, and the nearest one is this moon-shaped island.” One points to the crescent island.

“Do you think he went there?” Kyuuzaki sits down at the pilot seat.

“It’s only a speculation… and since he has a demonic heritage, do you think he can fly? One presses the buttons of their Aircraft. Kyuuzaki tries not to laugh since he slapped VH so hard that he “flew” away.

“I don’t think so, but we don’t know about the demon race. So he can probably fly, but not for now?” Kyuuzaki shrugs and leans back in the chair.

“Alright, if he isn’t at that place, we can go to the next one…” One prepares for the flight and sets off.
