After Hikaru and Krista get out of the building, they begin to retreat into the forest. When ‘Hikaru’ starts running, he notices that the wolf is looking at him oddly. He stops on top of a branch and looks at her back.

 
“So who are you?” Krista asks while she lands on a tree branch, and looks at ‘Hikaru’ with curiosity.

“I figured you would find out sooner or later, but I will explain.” ‘Hikaru’ sits down on a rock and reintroduces himself. “I suppose you can call me Yami."

Alright, Yami, why did you save me? I mean, I am glad that you did, but why? Krista floats around a branch.

“Hikaru was on the brink of death, and he lashed out. He managed to defeat the enemy that he was facing, but he lost control of the abilities that I gave him. Then I had to take over his body or he would completely lose himself. ” Yami sighs.

Will he come back? Krista asks while playing on a leaf.

“I will find a way because right now he is in a deep slumber.” Yami clasps his hands and looks at the fox.

“Oh Kyuuzaki, I have a crazy idea before we leave.”

“Please don't…” Kyuuzaki sighs.

One pulls out his net gun and captures the dead body of the werewolf. It took them about an hour to carry its body up to the ground floor. After taking a short break, they carried the body to their plane. They didn't bother searching Hikaru for now, instead, they will bring the werewolf's body to the base.

“What the hell is that kid's name? VH or Hikaru?” one sighs while flying the plane.

“I guess both, but let's call him Hikaru.” Kyuuzaki shrugs and pats one’s shoulder.
“I feel like whatever it was that took over Hikaru is protecting him. Besides, no one gave me a death stare like that for a long time.”

“Let's prepare for the second encounter. I was not ready for that one.” Kyuuzaki shoves One away and kicks him out of the cockpit.

“Now get some rest, you need.” One twitches his eye, but the adrenaline that he felt is not fading away. His body starts getting heavy, and he heads to his own room.

Yami stops under a tree, and he puts down the fox. Then he takes out the two purple shards that were given by Hikari and Kyuuzaki.

I don’t know how Hikaru got the first shard, but I guess this was the trigger of my awakening. Now I have the second shard that was given by that man who never told his name. What if I use the same method as Hikaru to wake his mind up? Yami ponders while holding the two shards tightly.

“Krista, I will meditate for a while so keep my body safe alright?” Krista nods in agreement, and he holds a shard. He starts meditating, and suddenly his consciousness is now inside their head. The place swirls with dark smoke, and everything is nearly pitch black. Hikaru’s body is still in deep slumber, and his body is shrouded with black tendrils.

“Let’s see if this works…” Yami slowly approaches Hikaru, and he touches his heart, and the shard in the real world starts glowing. A small explosive force emits from Hikaru's body. The black smoke around him starts dissipating, and Hikaru’s heart starts glowing purple. Hikaru’s eyes start to open slowly.

What happened… Hikaru looks around, and all he can see is darkness.

“How are you feeling?” Yami sighs, and he is glad the shards worked.

I’m feeling okay now, and I remember I was fighting the bear and I got stuck inside an Ice. Then I was trying to get out of the ice, and I blacked out. Hikaru rubs his temples while he looks around and realizes where he is.

“Everything is fine now, and I will say everything once you recover.” Yami looks at him.

How do I go back? Hikaru scratches his head while he looks around.

“You have to relax your mind and body in this state, so meditation will help you.” 

Alright… Hikaru sits down on the floor, and he relaxes his body. The black smoke begins to circulate around him, and when he opens his eyes once more, he is back at the forest. The sound of the birds chirping, the smell of the trees, and the fox right in front of him. He immediately hugs the fox since they have finally reunited. After some time, Hikaru and the fox settle in a cave, and he goes out on a hunt for food.

“So Mr. Voice in my head tells me what happened after I was buried in the ice?” Hikaru asks while he is gathering some plants and fruits.

“Mr voice in my head… What a name, but please call me Yami.” They both laugh while Hikaru forages for food and Yami tells everything.

Kyuuzaki and One finally arrive at the base then they stop by at the cafeteria to eat. They agreed to report on the mission once they recuperate from their mission. After Kyuuzaki and One have their fill, One waves goodbye to Kyuuzaki, and he goes off to the nurse's office. While Kyuuzaki went to his room and fell asleep from exhaustion.

Kyuuzaki wakes up in his room, and he feels he is dying. His lips are dry, and his skin is pale. He pats his pocket and he could not find the flame rune.

“Fuck, where the hell is that shard?” Kyuuzaki flips his bed and moves the cabinet. Still, there are no signs of the flame shard. One knocks on the door, and he is startled by it.

“Hey, Kyuuzaki, are you ready to report our mission?” One sits outside the door and waits for an answer.

“Yes, I’m ready.” Kyuuzaki opens the door, and One sees his face.

“Are you feeling ok? Your face is so pale.” One grabs a painkiller from his pocket, and he tosses it to him.

“I'm fine.” Kyuuzaki catches the painkillers, and he closes the door. One knocks again and informs him that he will go to the cafeteria and grab some food. Kyuuzaki doesn’t respond, but he sits down on the bed. He drinks two painkillers and stretches his body. Then he heads to the shower room to cool down his body. After taking a shower and he looks at the mirror then he realizes what happened to him. His left chest has a flame symbol, and he sighs.

“Well shit...” After taking a shower, we head to the cafeteria and he approaches one of the tables. One asks if he is feeling okay, and he simply smiles. One rolls his eyes since he knows he isn’t okay, but there is nothing he can do about it. After ordering a meal, they settle down at the nearest table and talk.

“So I have something to show you before we report the mission.” Kyuuzaki bites into the sandwich. 

“Sure, what is it?” One lays down the water bottle and looks at him. He also bit into the sandwich.

“Follow me outside.” Kyuuzaki stands up while biting into the sandwich. Then he walks away with urgency.

“But the food…” One retaliates and sighs.

“Just bring it with you, there is no harm in that.” Kyuuzaki doesn’t look back, and he continues walking.

One will ask how he got a shard, and Kyuuzaki will say that Hikaru switches the shard into a flame. Kyuuzaki will make up a theory that he traded the flame rune to the purple shard.

Kyuuzaki starts running in the hallway, and One follows him. Kyuuzaki keeps on running until they are outside the perimeter of the base, and he suddenly stops.

“Wow we have to be this far, huh? How important is this?” Kyuuzaki turns around and opens his shirt and turns around to One. One covers his eyes and is ready to sheathe his sword.

“Hold up, what the hell are you doing?” Kyuuzaki points his fingers to his chest. The flame symbol continues to glow brightly. One loosens his hold on the sword and looks at Kyuuzaki. One laughs at him, and Kyuuzaki wears his shirt.

“Why do you think this is funny?” Kyuuzaki coughs.

“Well, yeah, because you are now experiencing what happened to me before. Besides, what happened? Do you have any theories?” One looks at him.

Kyuuzaki walks in circles to make up a lie because the fire shard is from the ship where Hikaru was. Since he didn’t mention to anyone that there were two shards at the abandoned ship.

“Let's see… My theory is that after Hikaru punched me, he switched out a flame shard for the purple one that I had.” Kyuuzaki and One ponder while they try to make up for the situation.

“Interesting theory, but where the hell did he get that flame shard?” One and Kyuuzaki walk to the base while they wonder what happened.

“Perhaps from the werewolf or in the other room that he went in?” Kyuuzaki shrugs.

“Anyways, let's go and report the mission to the general. Then you will go to the Infirmary later unless you want to split up, and I will report it.”

After Yami told Hikaru what happened after his black out, he tries his best to calm himself down. Hikaru goes back to the cave while he is carrying a bundle of leaves and branches.

“So what’s next, Hikaru?” Yami asks him.

“To control my abilities and get off this island,” Hikaru says firmly, but in the back of his mind, he would never forget the General's face. On how he killed his father right in front of him. He didn’t say that to Yami, but for now he will focus on controlling his abilities.

Days pass by as Hikaru trains his body and learns other basic survival skills that he needs. He continues to forage, hunt small animals, hone his abilities, and maintain his energy.

While Hikaru and Krista are gathering wood in the forest, he asks her why she is being chased by the wolf. At first, Krista contemplates how she will answer the situation she is in.

I have ten shards inside my body, and Taiyō wants to extract that power within me. Hikaru is shocked that a small animal like her could hold so much power, and he continues to ask more questions.

Hikaru was shocked that a mere animal could hold such power, and he asked her more questions. “So you just need five more, huh?”

Yes, I do. Krista wags her tail while jumping onto a rock.

“So what kind of rune do you have?” Hikaru picks up a branch and snaps it in half, then he picks up a vine to wrap them all together.

I have the light rune. Krista jumps off the rock and helps Hikaru tie the branches.

"A light rune, huh, Interesting.” Hikaru finishes tying the branches, and he sits down for a moment. He carefully thought about what kind of runes there might be. He picks up a small stick to draw on dirt.

If Taiyō had a flame rune, and Krista is a Light rune… What makes me then? Besides, Taiyō said there are eleven elements. Could it be that… While Hikaru is in deep thought, something rustles behind his back, and it is just a couple of bunnies hopping around. Hikaru sighs and carries the bundle of branches and tells Krista that it is time to go back.
