“Why are you going to challenge me?” Kyuuzaki looks at him and waves his hands while the fire dissipates. 

“It's to see what you are capable of, and we are in a testing room.” One smirks.

Kyuuzaki sighs, and he walks in the middle of the giant metallic room, and he shouts that he is ready while waving to One. With no warning, One rushes down but Kyuuzaki blocks the attack.

“Hey come on, I wasn't ready.” Kyuuzaki shoves One away.

“Oh my bad I just want to surprise you.” One walks in circles around Kyuuzaki. One rushes down Kyuuzaki and he blocks the attack. He activates his rune and imbues his hands with electricity. Then he sends a barrage of punches to Kyuuzaki. He manages to deflect some of the punches but his arms feel numb. Kyuuzaki activates his flame abilities, and punches One to the face. He smiles, and he punches back then counters him by pinning him to the ground. One lets go and kicks him to the stomach, sending him flying across the room.

“Is that all you got?” One cracks his knuckles. Kyuuzaki reignites his blue flames as he looks at One.

“I have not mastered this new skill yet but I'll try my best.” Kyuuzaki summons twenty giant fireballs behind him, and envelops his body with a flame cloak. While creating the giant fireballs, he secretly created a flame spear.

“Try my best? Seriously?” One twitches his eyes under his gas mask and gets into a fighting stance.

Kyuuzaki claps his hands, and the fireballs begin to hurl at One. He dodges a couple of them, but some of them are catching up. While One is busy dodging the giant fireballs, Kyuuzaki sends the giant flame spear. One activates his Lightspeed abilities that only last a couple of seconds, and dodges every fireball.

The flame spear causes a heat wave across the room as the temperature slowly rises. One dodges the impact, but the heat wave is too much for him. While he is blocking the heatwave, Kyuuzaki’s fireball encircles One and explodes right in front of him. One weeds out the smoke and walks through it while he coughs. He locks on to him while he holds his katana.

For fifteen minutes, he managed to wield this kind of strength… What the hell happened to him?” One tries his best to assess the situation.  Kyuuzaki condenses his flames at his fingers, and he smiles.

“I know you will survive this.” Kyuuzaki flings the condensed flame, and it breaks through the speed of light. One reacts quicker and sheaths his sword, then he cuts the flame in half. The flame lands behind him and creates a massive explosion. Right after the explosion, a massive crater is left behind.

After the smoke clears, both of them rush together, and Dr. Snow intervenes between them to stop fighting. She tells Kyuuzaki that she got the information that she needed.

“That was a close one.” One unsheathes his Sword. 

“Was it really?” Kyuuzaki taunts him again. They stop for a moment and they laugh at each other.

“I'm not concerned about the training room, I'm concerned about both of you.” Dr. Snow continues her notes.

“We will be fine, don't worry about it.” Kyuuzaki walks towards Dr. Snow.

“Anyways, let's proceed to the second phase.” Dr. Snow walks near the door and taps a screen.

“We might have to step back on this.” One and Kyuuzaki follow Dr. Snow near the door.

“Now I will explain what is going to happen.” Dr Snow presses the last button, and a bubble made out of glass forms in front of them. They are both amused at the technology, and their eyes sparkle.

“Ehem, So Kyuuzaki, what you are going to do is to deliver your maximum output, and control it.” The Doctor taps the screen, and it creates a door, and Kyuuzaki walks out of the bubble.

“Alright.” Kyuuzaki jumps away from them, and he lands in the middle of the room.

Is she trying to mimic the scenarios from that place? Who is this doctor? Dr. Snow and One give a thumbs up from a distance and Kyuuzaki rolls his eyes.

“Flame maelstrom!” Kyuuzaki shouts while he reaches out his hand upwards. One burst out from the laughter, and the Doctor tried to keep her composure. A blue flame starts to surround him, and it slowly rises. The flame tornado is slowly forming while the room is drastically getting hotter.

“He named his abilities?” One is wheezing at the name of the attack.

“Please keep your composure One.” Dr. Snow shakes her head while she keeps taking notes.

“No, I already lost it.” One’s eyes are tearing up, and he continues to laugh.

Kyuuzaki snaps his fingers, and twenty giant fireballs are summoned again.

“So that's how he summoned those fireballs…” One watches closely.

“Push your limit, Kyuuzaki!” Kyuuzaki claps his hands, and all the fireballs he created merge into one big one. He slams his fist to the ground, and the fireball plunges down toward him. He absorbs the flame as he screams on top of his lungs. A wing made out of flames starts to form behind him as he absorbs the flame he fired to himself. An explosion occurs, and a shadow slowly forms in the thick smoke. Kyuuzaki looks fine as he walks back to them.

“Nice performance, and it seems your body got used to your newfound abilities.” Dr. Snow knows that Kyuuzaki didn’t give it all, but she is still impressed by how he handled the situation.

“Flame maelstrom” One taunts Kyuuzaki and reaches out his hands upwards while electricity comes out. Kyuuzaki’s eye starts to twitch while he holds himself back from smacking One because the doctor is there.

“Don't try to mock my attacks, unlike your name. You named yourself One, and you can't even one-shot your enemies.” Kyuuzaki taunts and mocks him back. One draws out his sword and points it to Kyuuzaki.

“Oh you want to fight?” One grins while his sword sparks.

“Stop fighting like small children.” Dr. Snow sighs.

“He started it.” Kyuuzaki points his fingers at One.

Dr. Snow gives a death stare to Kyuuzaki, and she walks away.

“Now... It's time for your final test.” Dr. Snow gave another notepad to One.

“Alright, I'm ready.” Kyuuzaki looks at her actions carefully.

“You see, Kyuuzaki, I am the final test, and I'm going to see if you are capable enough of using your abilities.”

“You must be joking right?” One looks up to the ceiling and admires a non-existent design so he can avoid Kyuuzaki’s gaze. Kyuuzaki laughs it off, and looks at the doctor.

“Sorry to disappoint Kyuuzaki, but I'm not joking.” Dr. Snow smiles.

“Well… Fine, then meet me at the center.” Kyuuzaki jumps at the center of the room, and Dr. Snow follows him by foot. Dr. Snow takes off her lab coat and tosses it on the side. The hidden clothing reveals a black latex outfit. Her silver hair whips out, and she takes off her glasses. 

“Are you ready?” Dr. Snow goes on a fighting stance.

“Yes ma'am.” Kyuuzaki also performs a battle stance.

Kyuuzaki and Dr. Snow jump together and they start trading punches. Kyuuzaki is shocked at her hand to hand combat and He realizes she is a skilled fighter.  

“What the hell am I watching right now.” One puts the notebooks near the door.

Doctor Snow counters Kyuuzakis attack and she backs off a little. The room temperature starts to drop, and Kyuuzaki feels it.

“No wonder something was off about you.” Kyuuzaki scoffs and smiles.

“Yes and I possess the Frost rune.” Dr. Snow smiles

“Aren't you at a major disadvantage? I'm fire and you're ice?” Kyuuzaki crosses his arms.

“Enough talk, show me your best.” Dr. Snow crosses her arms and looks at him. Kyuuzaki’s arms blazes up and he summons fireballs behind him. He charges up to her alongside the fireballs, and Dr. Snow taps her feet and a giant glacier emerges all over the place. Kyuuzaki backs off a little and uses the Glaciers as a platform. Kyuuzaki blitzes towards her but Dr. Snow freezes his feet then she summons two ice blocks to crush him.

“Kyuuzaki, Please use your abilities correctly. Don't just dive right in like you always do, and I'm not like One Who is relying on the physical side of their abilities. This isn't hand-to-hand combat either, so keep that in mind.” Dr. Snow unfreezes his feet.

“Thanks.” Kyuuzaki gets back up on his feet and his hands blazes even hotter. She summons small icicles and fires them off Kyuuzaki. Kyuuzaki blocks the attack, and each icicle melts to the ground.

“Keep it up.” Dr. Snow continues to fire an endless barrage of icicles without giving any effort.

“Are you purposely holding back for my sake? Since I don't know how to properly wield my abilities?! Kyuuzaki backs off while maintaining his position. Dr. Snow stops firing her icicles and lowers her hand then she looks at him then nods.

“Please don't hold back because I will give my best this time.” Kyuuzaki raises his fist and is ready to fight once more. Dr. Snow stops Kyuuzaki for a moment and she summons a blizzard while purposely hitting the cameras.

“Since Cameras are out I don't have to worry about going all out. Also don't worry I built this room, so I know the structure of the place.” Dr. Snow smiles while the blizzard dies down.

What is happening? One looks confused.

“Well this is getting interesting.” Kyuuzaki stretches his arms and feet.

“Don't worry, we only use those cameras to study how abilities work. So Kyuuzaki Are you ready?” Dr. Snow forms an ice spear on her hand.

“Yes I am.” Kyuuzaki looks at her and blazes up his arms.

Dr. Snow retracts the ice spear and crosses her arm. “Hmmm, hold that thought… Actually One can team up with him and spar with us too.”

“Hold on what?!” One & Kyuuzaki are both shocked at the Doctor's request.

“You must be joking right?” One asks hesitantly.

“No I'm not, and please hurry before the security comes in.” Dr. Snow grins and jumps away. One jumps beside Kyuuzaki and they both activate their runes. One unsheathes his sword and imbues electricity at it while Kyuuzaki’s blue flames envelop his arms.
