The Apostle was a woman, who was completely bare-chested save for the strange snake that encircled her chest and a crude chain mail skirt. Her white hair whipped around in the air, and a pair deep black horns protruded her skull.

Her body was as pale as snow, and her eyes were glowing white orbs, peering at us. When one became an apostle, they took pieces of the God they served. With the eerie mouthless apostle, adorned in one large albino snake, the simple chain mail skirt and her colourless form, Casian could deduce what God she served.

But he didn't need too. As this one was quite famous. Refae, If I remember correctly. She was the apostle of the Purity God, and pure she was. 

[Children.]

Her voice was clear and melodious.

[The beginning of the First Trial will begin briefly. I hope you have enjoyed the feast. As it will be the last luxury the benevolent Gods can spare you.]

The air seemed thick with tension. Casian could only accept her words as they were.

[The Gods cannot help you. You have one more chance to refuse the Beckoning.]

Except for me of course. 

The two sat at Casian's table tensed. The completely forgotten their argument, and went back to their solemn hopelessness. 

A few people left the Crator. Perhaps maybe ten children. Instead, the others stayed. There were perhaps thousands of Chosen, and they had all made their decision.

[Very well.] 

Refae clapped her hands at once.

[Goodluck.]

She said simply, and Casian fell into a deep slumber.

He woke up to arguing. His eyes blinked open, looking around to make sense of his surroundings. He was in a large room with only one door in the centre of a wall. Around him, there were velvet curtains draped dramatically with three names embellished into an engraving on the wall.

To your First Trial of Beckoning]

Casian got up from the wooden floor, and looked at the other two. The same boy and girl from his table were arguing, and Casian sighed.

Well isn't this just lovely? I'm in the worst team ever!

The looked at the two. 

I'm guessing the girl is Lana… and the boy is Sareth. Sareth huh? That's an unusual name…

"Gods! I'm stuck with a useless rat and a damned Heretic! What is this nonsense?! How is this fair?!" Lana droned, evidently angry.

Sareth rolled his eyes.

"Probably karma! If anything I'm the one being treated unfairly!" 

They both seemed to be at each others throats. Casian decided to ignore them and take a look at the engravings. 

[ For your first trial, Dear Chosen, all of you must reach the end of the Forgotten Labyrinth.]

Casian's eyes narrowed. 

Oh… so we're all stuck with each other. Lovely.

Casian looked back, glancing at the two who were not finished with their screaming match.

Ah… so… lovely…

Casian smiled, already feeling hopeless.

How on earth are we going to defeat this damned Trial?!
