Nathan rubbing the back of his neck.

“...Sorry” Lucas looks over at him.

“You're good, you'll get it next time, won’t you?” Nathan nervously agrees.

“Good…” Lucas looks at Kurai and Kaneko. ‘One twin has a beast vertical jump plus height and power, The other is a super tall setter who knows how to draw out the best in his spikers, I think we’ve got ourselves some beasts to tame.’ Kurai takes a deep breath and spins the ball in his hands.

“Good serve…” Kurai tosses the ball up and jumps up seemingly flying like Kaneko. Lucas repositioned himself to receive. ‘So both the beasts can fly huh?’ Kurai swings his arm as the ball bends and ripples from the impact and appears on the other side of the court and bouncing off the wall. A whistle blowing as Erik gulps.

“That makes the score 2-1… Freshman are in the lead.” Xavier’s jaw on the floor.

“Those two are a whole other level!” Nathan stands up slightly shocked.

“No matter what I would have done, I still wouldn't be able to receive that! My arms would break!” Lucas looks at Nathan and Xavier then at the Freshman.

“No doubt, with those two, we have olympic level players in the mix” Lucas smiles as Kurai looks up.

“good serve…” Kurai spins the ball in his hands and tosses it up, running forward, and jumping into the air. Landing another serve at the very far back of the court. “Yes!” Nathan unable to even react.

“I'm actually starting to agree with you on that, Lucas…” Xavier gasps.

“A rare sighting! Nathan agreed with Lucas!” Lucas sighs.

“Okay, I'm starting to grasp their strengths, let’s do this senior class!” The seniors all agree with him as Kurai spins the ball. ‘This is why I used to love volleyball.’ 

“good serve” Kurai tosses the ball really high with a forward spin and runs forward. ‘The feeling of pounding the ball-’ He swings his arm sending the ball over the net really fast. ‘Onto your opponent's court!’ Nathan leaning as far right as he can, touching the ball as it bounces off and across the gym causing him to hit the ground. 

“Flip, Sorry!” Kurai has a large smile. ‘Seems we have ourselves a competitor to devour.’ Lucas waves his hand

“you’re good, don't sweat it,” Lucas turned to look at the ball. ‘He almost managed to bring that up, I knew you could do it Nathan.’

“Current score 4-1, freshmen are in the lead” Erik looks between the Freshman and seniors, noticing the Freshman’s determination. ‘Every rally the plays seem to be getting more intense, is this really a practice match to them?’ Kurai takes a deep breath. ‘But times change, I no longer feel…’ Kurai tosses the ball up really high and runs forward jumping into the air. ‘The excitement I used to, when it comes to scoring…’ He swings his arm hitting the ball. The ball lightly touches the top of the net losing momentum. Xavier shouting. 

“Nathan!” Nathan dives forward receiving the ball but barely. Lucas running up to the net.

“Nice save!” Lucas underhand sets the ball. ‘Have at it Ace.’ Richmond smiles as he runs forward, swinging his arms back and seemingly flying higher than everyone else. ‘Perfectly clear view’ Nathan was shocked.

“No blockers!” Richmond slams his hand into the ball hitting it as it appears behind him. “Wha-” Lucas dives after it a bit too late.

“what just-” Dougal lands after blocking him. 

“You aren't getting past me that easily…” Lucas looks over.

“Hey, Richmond, Are you good?” Nathan smiles. Richmond glaring with determination back at Dougal.

“Oh, i’m just not warmed up yet, Give me the next one too” Dougal gulps as Ajax smiles.

“I’m ready for the challenge big guy” Kurai looks away and starts walking away to serve.

“Seems like the senior team is finally starting to thaw out of their frozen standings over break” Lucas laughs.

“You can say that again!” Kaneko looking over at Richmond.

“You’re insane!” Richmond smiles calmly.

“I could say the same about you, But you won’t ever reach my level with the way you are now” Kaneko grits his teeth. Kurai looked over blankly.

“Don’t let him get to you Kaneko” Kaneko makes a weird face.

“I know That!” Kurai exhales and catches the ball.

“Just reminding you, get back to your position…” Lucas chuckles a bit from the interaction.

“Guess the Freshman are starting to show their true colors…” Kurai takes a deep breath, spinning the ball.
