Scene 1: A Whisper from the Abyss

Lucien’s dreams are not his own.

Dark shadows swirl around him, whispering in forgotten tongues. Cold fingers of the void crawl up his spine. He is floating, weightless, trapped in an ocean of endless darkness. Then, a voice—low, guttural, and ancient.

??? (whispering):
"You should not be here… yet."

Lucien tries to move, but the darkness tightens around him like chains. The voice grows sharper, like a blade grazing his skin.

"Your throne is waiting… Forsaken Monarch."

A sudden jolt.

Lucien's eyes snap open. He sits up, gasping for breath, drenched in sweat. The cold air of the mortal realm presses against his skin. The city hums around him, oblivious to the terror that clings to him.

He clutches his head. The whispers are fading, but their presence lingers.

Lucien (thinking, breathless):
"Who… was that? And why does it feel like I know them?"

Scene 2: The Watcher in the Dark

Lucien steps out onto the streets, trying to steady his thoughts. The metallic glint of the silver coin in his palm reminds him of the woman in the crimson coat. Questions flood his mind. Who was she? What did she mean by “luck where you’re headed”?

The city's neon glow flickers as he walks. But then—

A sensation. Like unseen eyes burning into his back.

He stops, turning sharply. The street is empty. And yet, the feeling remains.

Lucien (thinking, tense):
"I’m being watched."

A cold wind rushes past him, and for a split second, he sees a figure—cloaked in black, standing atop a distant rooftop. Their face is hidden, but their presence is undeniable.

Lucien (whispering):

Lucien’s steps quicken as he heads toward a rundown alley. Something about this place feels… wrong. The shadows here are darker, deeper, almost alive.

A rusted door stands at the alley’s end.

His fingers graze the handle. The moment he touches it, the world around him shifts.

A vision slams into his mind.

Flashes of a throne room drowned in blood. A golden crown, shattered. A dragon’s roar. A brother’s dying eyes. Betrayal.

Lucien staggers back, breath ragged.

Lucien (whispering, horrified):
"This… this isn’t over."

The whispers from his dream return, stronger this time.

??? (whispering, echoing):
"Find the truth… before it finds you."

Lucien clenches his fists. Whatever force brought him here, whatever fate awaits—it has already begun moving.

And he will be ready.
