Weekends with Archer and Kiel are supposed to be quiet and relaxing but lately those two long days have been nothing of that.

Kiel had continued to lock himself away and check his phone and computer constantly. It got to the point where he had stopped getting sleep or eating. There were times when Archer tried feeding Kiel but he would push him away or refuse. Because of this the apartment has been heavy, lonely, and filled with desperation.

Today Archer watched the closed office door, a knot of anxiety tightening in his stomach within minutes. Multiple times Archer had raised his hand to knock on the door but chickened out every time. Though with each failed attempt Archer got even more anxious. Finally he knocked.

“Kiel?’ He says in a worried and shaky tone. “Please come out and eat something or get some rest.”

The tapping of the keyboard stops and a chair creaks. Footsteps follow after and the door opens. There stands Kiel eyes wide and a huge smile on his face. Archer looks at him confused, how could someone who had been locking themselves away come out looking like they saw a miracle. Kiel rushes over and hugs Archer, wrapping his arms around his neck and squealing.

“I got in! I got in!”

Archer’s eyes widen and wraps his arms around Kiel and spin him around. “Oh my god baby!”

Tears of joy fill Kiel’s eyes. The two of them relish the happy moment and Archer continues to hold Kiel. He soon sets Kiel down gently, but continues to hold his shoulders.

“Alright, alright. Did you get into the classes you wanted?”

Kiel nods quickly. “Yes, I got both classes online.”

Archer hugs him again and kisses his cheek. “I’m glad, you really had me worried when you locked yourself away.”

“I’m sorry, it was just stressed that I wouldn’t get it,” Kiel looks down guilty.

“Just promise you wont shut me out again?” Archer lifts Kiel’s chin up. “Whenever you need to talk just tell me.”

“Yeah, alright,” Kiel’s expression and tone shifts from excited and happy to more relaxed and calm.

Archer smiles and releases Kiel. “How about we go out for dinner to celebrate. Maybe a date?”

Kiel smiles wide and gives Archer a slight kiss on the cheek. “It’s a date,” He smiles and giggles.

“Alright you go get cleaned up and ready,” Archer ruffles Kiel’s hair.

Kiel scurries off to their shared room to get ready for their celebration date. Still in the hallway, Archer smiles in relieve and happiness, to himself and walks off to do his own thing, also before the date.
