Liam - We have to kill him!

Mark - No!

Liam - Then tell me how to stop him!

Mark's face contorted with dread. He couldn't think of a way out. Liam noticed Mark's haunted expression and knew what it meant. His skull faceplate opened, revealing his human face underneath.

Liam - You don't have to do this.

Liam stood and turned towards the rampaging Darius. 

Liam - Captain?

No response came from John. Liam scanned the battlefield and saw John already moving towards Darius, determined to stop him.

John charged at Darius, but before he could reach him, a beam of light struck Darius, sending him sprawling. John stopped and looked up. He saw Commander Oliver standing atop a nearby building, an Ion Canon in his hands.

Oliver reloaded the canon and fired another round, the blast hitting Darius squarely and driving him back further. Sophia and Maria look from far away to the commander.

multiple areas of the base start to explode, due to the damage caused by Darius's breath. Reinforcement choppers from the Dome city arrived, their rotors cutting through the smoke-filled air. Ben looked up and alerted June.

Ben - Reinforcements are here, June!

June - We have to tell everyone.

Commander Oliver's voice boomed over the comms. 

Oliver - Everyone, get out of the base! It's going to be hell.

Sophia - The commander... he's here to help!

Darius struggled to his knees, trying to regain his balance. Oliver fired his Ion Cannon again, blasting Darius and scorching the ground he touched, forcing him outside the base. Liam turned to Mark. 

Liam - Let's go, brother.

Mark nodded in agreement. 

Folding stairs descended from the helicopters, and some choppers landed to evacuate the wounded from the medical bay. Soldiers hurriedly helped the injured aboard, while the remaining personnel scrambled to the choppers to escape. Emma, boarding a helicopter, watched the destruction caused by Darius. Hugo and Samuel ran up to June.

Hugo - It's ready, Captain.

June - What did you attach to it?

Samuel - No time to explain. We need to get to him.

June grabbed Hugo's comms and called out. 

June - Anyone who is listening and is not wounded, I need you here at Hangar 6. We're going to take him down.

Turning to Hugo and Samuel, she instructed them to board a helicopter. Hugo noticed Lana, Arthur, and Victor approaching.

June - You guys are quick enough. Board the chopper.

As the helicopters and vehicles began moving out of the base, Liam sprinted towards John with a Mark sitting on his back. A machine gun got out from Liam’s back and he shouted.

Liam - Shoot! Give 'em hell!

Mark held the machine gun and aimed at Darius. He pulled the trigger, unleashing a hail of bullets. Darius blocked the bullets with his hands. As the bullets stopped, John, in speed, delivered a heavy punch to Darius's stomach, sending him flying into the air. Oliver took aim and shot him with the Ion Cannon mid-air, sending Darius crashing into the abandoned city.

Samuel, leaning out of the helicopter, watched as Darius crashed. 

Samuel - Why are they pushing him away from the base?

June - The base has a power generator, along with other firepower. If anything goes wrong there, the whole city will blow up.

Victor - Really? So the base is Like a big bomb.

June (To pilot) - To the Battleground soldier. (toward Lana, Arthur and Victor) who got the best aim?

John, Mark, and Liam moved quickly, their focus locked on Darius as he got up and roared. Mark darted forward and landed a punch with lightning speed, immediately followed by a powerful blow from John.

Darius - I'll kill you all!

Liam swung his fist, but Darius managed to dodge. Oliver, positioned at a distance, fired the Ion Cannon at Darius, but Darius countered with his energy breath. The breath overpowered the Ion Cannon, and Oliver quickly moved the cannon away just in time before it exploded.

Oliver glanced up at a helicopter hovering just above Darius. Victor and Arthur jumped down, firing their weapons as they descended. In that moment, Mark activated his power gloves and landed a devastating blow to Darius, sending him crashing right into John's punch.

Lana leaned out from the side of the helicopter, trying to aim the RCP’s deployer at Darius.

Lana - He's moving constantly. I can't get a clear shot!

June leaped out of the chopper, landing on Darius's shoulder. She swiftly planted a bomb in his head and jumped off just as it exploded, leaving Darius momentarily stunned.

Hugo - Lana, now!

Lana fired the deployer, and it attached to Darius's chest. One after another, the boosters on the RCP’s plates activated, moving towards the deployer and attaching themselves to their designated spots, effectively containing Darius. The light of the energy extractor began to glow white.

Hugo (screamed) - It's working!

Samuel - Alright!

Mark - It's over then.

June and John got up, their eyes on the container holding Darius. The battlefield fell silent for a moment, the only sounds being the distant echoes of explosions and the whirring of helicopter blades.

June watched the light on the containment pod change from white to blue. Her eyes widened with concern as Oliver approached the pod.

Oliver - It has already absorbed to its capacity.

June - With this much energy, If he explodes he is going to take down a whole block of the city….. Your orders, Commander?

Oliver and June took a step back. John and the others watched, noticing their retreat. The light turns red.

June - It's already overloaded.

Oliver - Everyone, retreat!

Before they could fall back, the containment pod exploded, lightning from the blast shooting out in all directions. John saw that the explosion was contained within an invisible barrier. He looks around himself and finds no one but himself there. He looks up and sees the helicopter crashing. Through the haze, he saw a man in a black hoodie approaching the explosion. His one hand, waved in the direction to contain Darius inside the explosion and the other swiftly removed the earphone in his ears.

Man in Hoodie - Sorry for making you wait. I was stuck in the traffic.

John (yells) - There is no fuckin traffic in the City, Anyways, I never thought I’d say this, but I’m glad you’re here, Artair.

Artair not looking at John smiles. 

The team falls far from the city at the top of a mountain, Hugo and Lana gets up and look at the city. They witnessed an explosion of the capacity destroying some parts of the city.

From the helicopters moving outside the city, Sophia, Maria and others saw the explosion. A destructive force unleashed, sending a shockwave through the air.
