Wake up... Idiot... Wake up...
Oh, what's wrong with you, you stupid Minotaur?
That round rock next to you has been making noises for a long time.
"What are you talking about?" A moment of realization... "Oooh! School! School!"
Ethan started his day with this hilarious dialog with the Minotaur he could hear in his head. He jumped out of bed and headed to the bathroom quickly, slamming the door shut. Same old routine; running here and there, showering while brushing his teeth at the same time, coming out without a towel and drying himself in his room.
"Bishri is an idiot who doesn't organize his time and thoughts... I'll have to teach him a few things in the coming days." The Minotaur muttered to himself.
If I had to explain my general view of the human race, it's not what we thought it was. Even though they have a black face that destroys everything around them, they have a great organization that is not just about power or status, it's more like ants. Every ant knows what to do, every ant knows its destiny. Their secret is... Mind.
After Ethan had stopped running back and forth inside the house, he had finished getting ready, though he had left the place looking like a dumpster. "I have to tidy up after school," he sighed.
Ethan walked out of his house with his head lowered to the ground, remembering his mother's last glances as she sobbed in his arms. The walk from home to school passed in silence, but even so, he was experiencing an internal struggle. His outward appearance was calm and serene, but inside he was torn between sad and happy memories of his mother.
Meanwhile, the minotaur was sitting in a black void in a meditative pose.
"Shit! This kid has gotten so messed up in his life and thoughts... All because he stayed in the forest and got used to it." He paused for a moment before adding with a sigh: "Oooh, he needs to hang out with his peers to regain his humanity."
The scene cuts back to Ethan arriving at the school gate. He enters with steady steps, his face rigid and his eyes fixed on the ground. He moved across the courtyard towards the entrance door, while students' eyes were fixed on him, trying to hide their whispers.
At the door, Evan met him waiting.
"I've been waiting for you for a while, what took you so long?" Evan asked seriously.
Ethan replied in surprise: "Why were you waiting for me, and why are you alone?"
Ivan said with a serious face: "I'll tell you something important... Today is an important day for you. We got word that Jason is bringing his gang with him to the fight."
Ethan was surprised for a moment, then returned his gaze to the ground with a stiff face.
"Don't worry, we'll be at the event and stop all interference," Ivan interrupted.
Ethan interrupted sharply: "No." He turned around and stared him straight in the eye. "I will crush any bug that gets in my way."
He continued on his way, leaving Evan to stare at him silently before smiling and saying: "Huh, I guess Leon was right... He's interesting."
Hours and hours passed inside the school, Ethan falling asleep in every class. No teacher dared to wake him up because of the dark aura that emanated from his place.
Until he felt a hand gently touch his back. He slowly raised his head, only to find a girl with brown hair and black eyes smiling at him.
"Hello, boy."
He replied coldly: "What do you want?"
"Hmmm..." the girl said irritably. "I'm Leon's older sister, and he's outside calling you."
She turned and walked out of the classroom. Ethan looked around to find that the classroom was empty. He got up, grabbed his backpack, and headed outside.
As he walked down the hallways of the school, he remembered the moments when he was beaten, the pain and humiliation, then the terrible fatigue as he practiced climbing mountains and lifting huge boulders. And even that deadly suffocation when he was holding his breath underwater.
He chuckled softly: "Huh... Oh, life, did you do all this to make me obey you?"
Then he laughed even louder: "We'll see if you succeed."
He opened the school door and stepped out into a courtyard full of students, their loud voices filling the air. Ethan tossed his backpack aside and moved slowly toward Jason, who was standing in the center of the quad with a stern and serious face.
They exchanged glances, until Jason came at him with a straight punch, but Ethan dodged it in an instant with a quick duck and then returned the blow with his foot to Jason's face, pushing him away and knocking him to the ground.
At this moment, several masked boys emerge from the crowd, carrying knives and small swords, and head towards Ethan. The looks on the students' faces express fear. On the other side, Zach wanted to intervene, but Evan and Leon held him back.
The scene returned to Ethan, who was coldly studying the situation:
*Two behind me, three in front of me, four on my left, and one on my right.*
He took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and relaxed his body, letting his inner will control his movements. Then, in a flash, he jumped into the air, aiming his foot at one of the people behind him, knocking him to the ground unconscious. He then executed a quick back kick that knocked out his other opponent.
Enthusiasm returned to the students, as the school nurse ran out of the school screaming: "Ethan! Ethan, stop!"
But Ethan ignored her and continued to hit his opponents one by one.
She shouted louder: "Ethan! Your mom... Your mom's not okay!"
