Werewolf of the Moonlight Bar

Chapter Three

Chapter Three

Apr 03, 2025

As the night progressed, I sipped on the Old-Fashioned Mac made me a soft smile hidden against the rim of the glass as he moved around the bar like it was second nature. Leaning against the bar counter, I slide my drink to the other side and hoop down from my seat with a slow wave I motion towards the restroom as Mac takes my glass and nods.

Heading towards the restroom I all but freeze my face turning a deep shade of red as soft groaning noises come from within the men's room. Pivoting around I collide into Mac's chest to no surprise.

"Just wait right here." He grumbled his stern scowl gripping his face as he steps into the room and with one hefty kick cracks the stall door open. "GET A ROOM!" He snaps as the love birds stumble out fixing themselves and the bolt over to their table, the group glaring Mac down as he stepped back out holding a set of keys. "Lock the main door, and when your done lock it and come give me the keys."

Nodding quickly, I take the keys and step inside my face a bright red still as I lock the door. Leaning against it I place my hand on my heart the display of strength making my chest thud before pushing off the door and doing my business. Stepping up to the mirror my face is still a light shade of pink as I turn the water on a splash my face.

'You can't be thinking like that... Nope nope...' I internally berate myself for a second before moving towards the door only to hear the family crash of glass against hardwood.

Opening the door my eyes widen my heart thudding a mile a minute as Mac slams into a patron sending him sprawling to the floor with a harsh thud. Mac breathes heavy as he walks or more like stomps his way over to me.

"Stay in there a moment would ya." He growls closing the door in my face. Blinking for a second I go to open the door again only to find it jammed shut. Silent curses falling from my mouth as I lean against the sink, the loud crashes and thuds of the fight outside giving no pity to the imagination.

After a few long minutes the door is kicked open and Mac stands there his attire torn and dirty as he sighs.

"My bad, I broke the handle." He finally says before turning and walking back towards the counter. I step out finding only a handful of people picking themselves up some bruised and blooded others dropped down a peg. Stepping back over to where Mac now leans against the bar gesturing with a hand over the calming chaos. "Well let's just say, some brats didn't know when to shut their mouths." He responded the hairs on his arms on alert and to his credit he tried to hide the claws as he kept his fists balled.

I nod giving him a not so convincing once over before shrugging my shoulders. Looking outside I catch sight of first light a wild flurry of curses entering my thoughts as I patted Mac and briskly walked outside waving at him as I went.

He gives me a confused tilt of the head as I quickly make my way home, dodging the suns harmful rays. Which were a lot harder than I could have imagined as I moved between the trees my skin feels extremely hot by the time I see my home and with it a familiar figure.

"There you are!!" My mothers voice rang out as something was thrown over my body and all but yanked inside. "Where were you? What were you doing? Who were you with?" The barrage of questions hits my thudding head like a migraine as I am lead upstairs and towards my room. Her voice becoming a distant fog as at last my vision blurs and the world becomes nothing more but darkness.
