After some days of investigations, the police unit in charge of the case, found out about some other wrong doings of this man. He was the one who murdered his ex-wife a few months after the divorce. At that time they found her body and it was clearly a homicide however, they weren’t able to find out the true culprit so the case was delivered to Khaos.

Since they weren’t sure if this was the reason for his death sentence, they requested the Goddess to clarify this situation.

– Yes. That was exactly the thing I discovered back then that made me decide on his death sentence. It makes only worse the fact that he was involved in that hidden group and harmed that poor child. – Khaos explained.

– Thanks for the clarification, Khaos. Regarding the situation of the deceased’s daughter, I think we should inform her about the truth of her mother’s case. – Vincent said.

– Of course! It’s a must for her to know the truth. I will also request a psychiatrist to take care of the girl’s mental health in case she needs it. I saw that you both were close, the other day… Could you perhaps know her whereabouts to pass her this information? – The Goddess asked, sitting with him on a couch.

– Yes. We’ve been friends for a long time, I would always help her when she needed it. She decided to leave the house and is now living with me. I can talk to her about this if you don’t mind as well. – He suggested.

– Ah, that’s a good thing to hear. I’ll entrust you then to let her know about this, and I hope she will be able to heal with someone like you taking care of her. – Khaos was relieved.

– I’ll do my best, Goddess! – He ensured, coming to terms with her.

Khaos was thinking about leaving the department after this conversation, when she remembered something.

– Oh, by the way… Sorry if this sounds kind of nosy, but I saw some unfinished sculptures and paintings in the basement of the Lawrence residence when we were investigating the house… Is Catherine perhaps a student at Portus’ Art University? – Khaos asked, in a low voice tone.

– Yes! She’s from a sculpture class.

– Oh, that’s an interesting fact… Dracarus really loves art and sometimes he mentions about the exhibitions he sees at the university. I wonder if he knows her.

~~~
Meanwhile at the university, their teacher was going to explain a new sculpture project, after letting them rest for the last few days.
– Good morning class! I hope these free days calmed down all of you, mostly Catherine, but now we have to get to work again. This time I’m gonna ask y’all to do a minimal sculpture. All this time I’ve only assigned tall sculptures as It’s more common, but now I wanna test the skills of my students in doing a short one.
– That seems interesting. Does it need to be a specific short height? – A student asked.
– I’ll accept between ten centimetres and thirty. The theme will be family this time and the time limit is until December break. Also, the sculpture degree teachers decided this project will be open to the public. In other words, the public will be able to enter the studio and see you work on the sculpture. I believe It’s a fun experience.
The students were quite nervous for this new task but they were also more motivated. They went home happy with this new task and excited to see the people waiting for them the next day at the studio.
Not so far from there, the Goddess’ helpers were again heading to a new extermination job.
– So, who’s gonna kill this one? – Han asked.
– You can kill him, I don’t mind. – Dracarus replied, kind of sleepy.
– Ugh, so boring…
– Really? Should I kill him myself then? – Dracarus jokingly questioned.
– Nah, I’ll do it. Don’t even try. – Han answered.
– Hahah, okay.
Once they reached the place, they cornered him in an alley, as usual. They didn’t want the people to see such a brutal assassination in the street.
– What do you want? Are you the police again? – The criminal, red haired man, asked.
– We’re even better. However, if you want to confess your crimes once again, I’m sorry to inform you but it’s already too late man. – Han started approaching him.
– I never intended to confess myself again. Especially not to those dumb police officers who can’t even assure the criminals won’t escape.
The man clenched his fists with both anger and hate.
– Well then… Prepare yourself. This might hurt a bit.
Saying this, Han transformed into his Oni form and choked the man while piercing through his body with his other three powerful arms. The man fell to the ground with three big holes in his body. Han was covered in blood, even his dark greenish hair.
He turned back to his human form and looked at Dracarus, who was nearly sleeping.
– Are you seriously sleeping while I’m murdering a person? – He asked, annoyed.
– Yeah, I’m sorry… It happens.
Dracarus then walked towards the body and demolished every trace of blood, sending it to Khaos’ void domain.
– Should I wake you up then? – Han smirked. He was clearly implying a fight.
– Huh? – Dracarus got up and faced him. – Sure. I want to see you try.
Han happily shifted again and started the fight with Dracarus.
It was actually normal for these little fights to occur between them, they were just testing their powers.
Dracarus decided to use bloody chains with two sharp spikes at the ends instead of his usual sword. They weren’t fighting to death so he didn’t need to be so serious with it.
Han ran towards him and was able to scratch Dracarus’ front with his claws. He immediately teleported behind him and pierced his secondary arms with the spikes.
– Oh? Using your chains to match my claws? How sweet of you. – Han joked.
– Of course, brother. – Dracarus answered, with a smirk.
He obviously didn’t stop there. He kept on trying to attack him with his supernatural force, But he was always trying his best to deflect them away.
– Aren’t you struggling to keep up with my four arms? – Han deviously smiled with his eyes.
– Ah, for sure… I would say it’s quite unfair. – Dracarus ironically stated.
– How so? – Han went along with his irony.
However, he didn’t expect it to mean something else. As Dracarus was pretending to be getting defeated by his attacks, backing away from him, he made Han distracted… He secretly spiked the chains into his legs, making him fall to the knees.
– By not having the power to manipulate things like this. How will you dodge my ways now? – Dracarus fooled him.
– Ah… You’re quite the funny man. – He got up on his feet again. Those little spikes weren’t enough to take him down for good. – Too bad I’m not that weak.
– Well since that’s the case… – Dracarus created two more chains. He was now equaling his four arms. – I’ll multiply them.
Han playfully smirked and rapidly scurried Dracarus' body to the wall near them. He couldn’t dodge this since he was occupied forming the chains of blood, and got brutally crushed on the wall. He was surprised by this attack. He didn’t expect Han to use this much brutal force. He let out a soft grunt of pain while looking down at Han who was sticking him to the wall by the neck and arms.
– Are you finally waking up, Dracus? – Han maniacally said, smiling.
Dracarus matched his maniac self and frantically smiled as well.
– Yeah, now I’m fully awake. However… I think you’re the one falling asleep now.
– Oh? I’m perfectly awake.
Dracarus aggressively sneaked his legs up, beating Han’s chin, making him back away in pain. He was now free from his wall trick.
While Han was recomposing himself from the painful chin attack, he teleported behind him and slammed him to the ground using his full body force. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to put him down since Han’s way stronger than him physically during his Oni form. He made sure to stick him to the ground, piercing the four chains through his arms, and forcing his head and torso down.
– Agh, you’re smarter than I thought. Using gravity to put me down like this, huh? Interesting. – Han murmured.
Han really wasn’t able to get himself up again. The chains’ force was too strong.
– I thought I was the one sleepy, not you. Aren’t you getting up? – Dracarus laughed.
Han was genuinely trying to find a way to flip this up… When he suddenly saw the shadow of someone in the corner of the building on their left.
– Wait, someone’s there… – He whispered.
– Is this a new way to distract me? – Dracarus asked. He didn't believe that.
– Dude, I’m being for real. Look over there. – He nodded in the direction.
Dracarus actually looked over there and saw the shadow move. The person was aware they noticed them.
– It’s running away! – Han shouted.
Dracarus stopped holding him and went to check… No one was there anymore.
“What the hell… How did they vanish so fast?” – He thought to himself, as he looked around… And saw no one.
“Shit… They almost caught me… But why the fuck did I just witness them fighting?”
~~~

They returned to the palace after the practice fight. Musa was the one who opened the door for them.

– What happened to you both?! Your clothes are all ripped out. – She asked, worried.

– We were just fighting for a bit, as usual. We’re fine. I mean… Han didn’t want me to heal him so… – Dracarus said, as he looked at Han, full of wounds.

– Oh my god, Han! Why are you always like this? – Musa sighed.

– Haha, don’t worry. They don’t hurt that bad. – He smiled, comforting the annoyed little girl.

– Hmph! I demand a new flower from you, for making me worry like this. I just won’t ask one from Dracarus because he’s healed, unlike you who refused. – Musa said, pretending to be madly annoyed.

Han patted her head.

– Sure! I’m sorry, Musa. – He smiled.

She stopped pretending and gave them a hug.

– Now, I’ll go take a bath upstairs. Annoy Dracarus as I’m leaving. – Han said.

Dracarus picked up Musa and went with her to the living room. Khaos was sitting there watching television.

– This past week two dead bodies were found in the span of four days. The police are now investigating the case and the anomaly of both of them presumably having the same culprit as the previous homicides due to the same circumstances they were murdered. Some people are even taking the killer’s side and glorifying him due to the fact the deceased were always bad people or criminals at international level.

Dracarus was even more curious about The Shadow’s identity since it was already getting idolised.

– So he murdered someone again, huh? – Dracarus quoted as he peacefully relaxed on the sofa.

– Seems like it. I don’t know if I should be happy or not because society is admiring him. – Khaos sighed.

– I mean… It’s not such a bad thing, I guess. At least he’s helping us. – Dracarus, seeing the situation in an optimistic way.

– Yeah, that’s true… The police also found out about that man’s criminal past. I asked one of them to warn Catherine Lawrence about it. The girl must’ve gone insane with this information. – Khaos was worried about her.

– Hm? That name sounds familiar… I think there’s an artist at the university with that name. – Dracarus reminisced.

– Yes, you’re probably right. Her friend told me she was a student there. – Khaos stated.

Dracarus suddenly got a notification on his phone.

– Well, maybe you could try to find her in one of those art exhibitions you attend, and talk to her… Or even befriend her, you and Han are too lonely. Both of you need to make friends.

– Hm, I’ll think about it. – He checked out the notification.

“Oh? This event seems quite interesting.” Dracarus thought to himself as he read the article about the new public project at the university. “Who knows I might meet her…”

He was more interested in meeting his favourite artist than Catherine though.

Orchid, a girl who lived in one of the biggest city buildings, was looking out of her room’s window.

There was a big screen in the front building showing The Moon’s case.

– So now we’re idolising murderers huh? How funny… You’re quite the hypocrite aren’t you?

“Maybe I should leave you a warning to quit that life.”
