Sarah recoiled from Rizal, her heart racing in her chest. The whispers in the back of her mind grew louder, more urgent. She backed away, but the door slammed shut behind her, trapping her inside the suffocating office with the twisted version of Rizal.

The detective’s voice became a guttural growl as he stood up, his movements jerky and unnatural. “You don’t understand, Sarah. The Penunggu never left. It’s inside of me now, feeding on my fear, my regret. It needs to grow, to spread.”

Suddenly, a surge of dark energy exploded from Rizal’s body, sending a shockwave of air through the room. The walls seemed to distort, the shadows lengthening unnaturally, swallowing the light. Rizal’s form began to flicker like a broken television, his body warping, twisting. His face shifted into something unrecognizable—an amalgamation of fear, anger, and a hunger that no human could ever understand.

Sarah scrambled toward the door, but the air around her thickened, making it almost impossible to move. The room grew colder, and the whispers turned into screams. The Penunggu was trying to escape—through Rizal. The detective’s body writhed as if being torn apart from the inside, his skin pulling tight against his bones.

“No!” Sarah screamed. “I won’t let you take him!”

But the Penunggu had already claimed Rizal, and he was beyond saving.
