However, Kaiya appeared in front of him spooking him momentarily. "Jesus Kaiya watch out, you came outta nowhere" he grumbled grabbing his chest as his heart raced momentarily. "Oh sorry tee-hee~" she chuckled with her usual adorable laughter.

"By the way Ronan, ever since you mentioned that thing about Nayu I want to make you a promise" she walked towards Ronan with an innocent look as she grabbed his hand. "Uh Kaiya? You okay?" He looked confused as Kaiya tensed up her other fist.

"I swear I will protect you, Hayu!" She exclaimed however Ronan didn't take her seriously as he just ended up Patting her head. "Yeah yeah of course you will, that's what friends are for aren't they?" He smiled as Kaiya pouted but she enjoyed the head pats nonetheless.

"Well, well if it isn't the new kid himself" a voice came from behind as a strong stench of cigarettes came from the voice. It was Detective Luke, "now Kaiya if you don't mind me I just wanna talk to my little buddy Ronan, that fine with you?" Luke asked however it sounded more like a command if anything.

"Tch this guy again although it wouldn't be a problem to speak to him" Ronan thought, "You go along Kaiya I'll be fine" He announced as Kaiya nodded and ran off to the others to continue the outdoor games.

"Heh that was easier than I thought" Luke's eyes widened in shock momentarily as Ronan turned around. "I'd like to talk about something" He stated as The latter nodded in understanding.

"Sure what do you want?" He carried on walking with him as they spoke together.

"Well is there a chance that people... I don't know... Suddenly change there personalities over a day in Nanmoku?" Ronan asked with an unsure tone hoping that it didn't sound ridiculous to the Detective. "Hmm interesting but not the first time I've heard that statement" he exclaimed in response.

"The White Rabbit apparently according to some experiences has a way to make people go mad, make them even calculative" he explained in more detail. "But that's all just rumours besides we don't even know if this mysterious entity even exists" Luke added thinking it was just an urban legend.

"Huh... I guess so I had a nightmare about that Rabbit thing not long ago" Ronan murmured as a shiver went along his spine remembering that night. 

"Well from what I've learnt round here in Nanmoku, not everyone is how they seem anyone could stab you in the back" Luke laughed jokingly however this inadvertently made Ronan more tense. 

"It's a creepy ass place after all, especially with those three missing kids never found and they never will be unfortunately" He sighed taking out another cigarette and lighting it as he took a deep puff.

"But hey if anything gets sticky for you out here, have my number just in case" Luke added handing Ronan a small teared piece of paper with a phone number on it. 

"Uh thanks I guess" he responded thankfully, however his expression was still of mild dread. "Well I'll be going like I said don't be afraid to give me a call, it might save your life" Ronan waved goodbye before walking over to his car with a slow pace, a cloud of smoke surrounding him.

"Yeah I will ass hole" he scoffed not appreciating the fear and paranoia that Luke instilled on him. He then went up to meet up with the group to see what they were getting up to.

However, unbeknownst to him he was being watched from afar by a man in a dark blue muscle car covered in protective armor plates on the windows and windshield. This guy wasn't a normal person but a smart serial killer.

Hillman Yokogao... The same person Kaiya and Ronan met when they went to Nanmokus Carnival for the first time.

"Oh how time flies, I wish I could enjoy your slow fall into paranoia a little longer Ronan but this is just the beginning and I have so much planned especially for your little friend too" He chuckled looking at his pocket watch before driving away with a sinister smirk.

Meanwhile, Ronan met back up with the group due to his tiredness and drowsiness this morning he decided it'd be best to go home and get some rest. "Hey Yasu, I'll be heading home early just for today, had a rough night yesterday that's all" he explained as Yasu chuckled poking his chin.

"It's fine get some rest Ronan-san" She ruffled his hair as Kaiya waved to him as he left with a smile glad that he took her advice.
