Friday late morning, Kei did a casual inspection of his gallery as his assistants prepared for Junnie and Finnian's visit. It was going to be a semipublic visit as Junnie and Finnian were coming without their crew, but are planning to film content for a vlog to be posted on Atlantis' YouTube channel.
Kei's gallery, with its sleek, high-end aesthetic, had always been a space he took pride in-a place that reflected his philosophy of Zen minimalism and modern artistry. The Seoul gallery was his flagship exhibition space, serving as a testament to his established reputation in the art world. His other exhibitions, whether overseas or domestic, were exclusively by invitation, a testament to his high standing among curators and collectors alike. The sunlight streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows made the ceramic pieces radiate a subtle, natural elegance, while the subtle earthy tones of the space created a serene ambiance. Kei offered a few final instructions here and there, but the setup was mostly up to his standards.
By mid-afternoon, the bell over the gallery door chimed, announcing Junnie and Finnian's arrival. Junnie's easy charisma and lanky frame filled the room instantly as he walked in, dressed in a leather jacket over a casual tee and jeans. Finnian followed closely behind, smiling like an angel with freckled cheeks, his camera slung around his neck, already scouting for angles to shoot. Kei greeted them with his usual calm demeanor and a polite smile.
"Welcome," Kei said, extending a hand to Finnian. "Thanks for taking the time to visit."
"Thanks for letting us!" Finnian replied enthusiastically, shaking his hand. "This place is stunning. It's perfect for the vlog. Don't worry, we'll keep things professional."
Junnie grinned, his eyes scanning the space. "Professional, sure, but don't expect me not to gush and ask questions over everything. This is art heaven."
Kei chuckled softly, leading them further into the gallery. "Feel free to film whatever you like and ask any questions, but I'd prefer not to be on camera."
Finnian nodded. "Understood. The art speaks for itself anyway."
As the two wandered the gallery, Finnian started filming, narrating bits about the pieces while Junnie interjected with his own impressions. Junnie's easy charm transformed the vlog into something lively and engaging. His playful quips and flirtatious glances at Finnian and the camera added an unexpected layer of entertainment, while Finnian's earnest and sincere eye for detail brought the gallery's serene elegance to life, his genuine appreciation evident in every carefully chosen frame.
Occasionally, Junnie would turn to Kei with questions about a particular piece, his tone lightly teasing yet genuinely curious, drawing out thoughtful insights and a faint, amused smile from Kei. Finnian's gaze lingered on Junnie more than once, his soft smiles and the way he adjusted the camera to frame Junnie perfectly hinting at something deeper. Junnie, for his part, seemed to brighten whenever Finnian spoke, his enthusiasm slipping into a quiet admiration, the kind that lingered just a moment too long whenever their eyes met. Kei noticed the subtle exchange but chose to remain silent, an amused glint in his eyes as he observed the unspoken dynamic between the two.
Just as the tour was wrapping up, the bell chimed again. Kei looked up, mildly surprised to see Sung rushing in, still dressed in his casual training attire. His face lit up upon spotting the group.
"Sorry I'm late," Sung said, slightly out of breath. "I didn't want to miss out entirely."
"Were you worried about us or Kei?" Junnie teased, giving Sung a nudge. "You missed the grand tour though."
"That's okay," Sung replied, his eyes locking briefly with Kei's. "I will get a private one another time."
Kei's lips quirked in a faint smile, though his thoughts betrayed him. Since when had he promised Sung another tour? But then again, with Sung looking so earnestly at him, Kei realized he would've agreed anyway.
When the filming was done, Finnian suggested grabbing dinner together. Sung eagerly seconded the idea, insisting it was his treat for being late.
