It's been 365 days since the virus hit. Things haven't gotten any better, the zombies have gotten more ruthless and persistent. I think to myself as my dark brown hair flows in the wind and my tan skin bathes under the sunlight. Sometimes I wish I could just go back- 

My thoughts are interrupted when I hear someone calling out my name. I turn around and see Nexus yelling,  “Sage hurry up!

I turn around and see him in his usual clothes and his long brown hair tied in a bun

“Kali called a meeting, so hurry up” Nexus responds. A meeting!? 

“Yeah, I'm heading over,” I say, grabbing my bow and quiver and getting up. Why would she call a meeting? I get up and walk over to Nexus. 

I ask, “Why did Kali call a meeting?”

“Why the heck would I know?” Nexus responds. 

”Jeez, no need to get snappy with me.” I say, rolling my eyes. 

We start walking back to base. BANG!

“What was that?” Nexus asks 

Looking around, I see Fae is nowhere to be seen.

“Wait, where's Fae?” I ask. 

“She went outside” I hear Indigo say as she walks in.

THUD!!! 

Running outside, I see Nexus on the ground groaning with Fae and a branch next to him. 

“Fae, what did you do?” I ask suspiciously. 

She responds, “I may or may not have cut the branch he was on…”

I let out a sigh.

“Lunar, you deal with this.” I say in a vexed tone to Lunar who was sharpening his spear.

“Hey wha-, why me?!” he exclaims.

“Because I have to go get supplies. We're running low again.” I responded. 

“Whoa, whoa, whoa, not so fast. It's peak time for the zombies, it's too dangerous.” ,Nexus says.

“Yeah, I agree with Nexus, at least bring backup.” Luna says.

Not listening, I go pick up my bow and arrow and walk out of the base.
