2025, May 9th. It's been 48 days since the anomalous lunar incident. Alerts go off on computers, as teams of LIGO move, frowning... as data comes in. It's... a slowly building vibration that grows over several minutes. They frown deeply, as they make calls. NASA, Kennedy space center, people move all over. As a large screen in a war room shows... a glowing magenta, and gold image many look down, as they work, and one complains "CAN SOMEONE REMOVE THE REALITY DEFYING LIGHT ON A BIG SCREEN, WE ARE TRYING TO WORK!", as everyone for the past few minutes has been freezing in fear, after looking at the screen. A few seconds later, as light murmurs fill the room. It goes away from the screen, changing to satellite data, as they work on locating the object, and moving satellites to zoom in. In Las Anaglis, people look to the sky, at the magenta, and gold stars in the sky. It's nowhere near the moon, as people frown looking at it. Taking photos, and videos. It flashes... as it disappears. As in the war room, people look on the screen. At... an image that gets less and less pixelated every few seconds. A... space station of some kind... had just teleported into earth orbit. A large ring, with several white supports connecting to a cylindrical center, everything white in color, larger than the ISS. No visible solar panels, yet visible hangar bays, and... one-way windows.
They frown deeply. As the room erupted into motion, the data streams began pouring in. The station was holding a geostationary orbit approximately 36,000 kilometers above Earth's equator. It appeared suddenly, emerging from... a wormhole. News moved at a rapid pace 'Aliens put space station in orbit! With a new wormhole!', 'The next anomalous lunar incident! This time, a space station!', 'Aliens are here, and are here to stay!'. But as analysts work. Various... satellite companies contact NASA, within minutes of the space station's appearance. Reporting the same thing... The space station is hacking, and connecting to global networks. Worse yet... the hacks are nearly seamless, unnoticeable, and seemingly not harmful. Just... there.
Time passes, 22 hours. Then... it does something weird. A large scale hack spreads thru one specific satellite connection, that was hacked by the alien space station. It starts as a weird virus that causes computers to freeze, as an animated blue-digital looking fox symbol stays on the black screen. As the computer glitches for a few seconds, and then... the virus disappears, as it spreads to another computer in the network. It spreads rapidly, and within 30 minutes... its spreading thru the wider internet, as IT departments report... that its collecting data,. It's weird as hell. Defying basic programming principles. As it spreads rapidly. When it entered systems with webcams, webcams turned on, and microphones, before it left, and the computers returned to normal. The odd part was there was no trace of it left, yet it seemed that all viruses were connected... via an unknown method. Traces were eventually found, but they were unstable... and disappeared quickly. But all... seemed to be quantum, bits reading as totally quantum, changing strings, before stabilizing.
All copies of the virus were connected, isolated one, and it could teleport through quantum mechanics to another, elsewhere, that was free. However, they could only enter systems with an internet connection. So air-gapped systems were safe for the moment. Another oddity... is at most, there are 400-500 duplicates in the entire world... nothing more. It was theorized... this was a limitation of the quantum virus. It never backtracked, and just continued to cover new systems, copying data, observing.
53 hours after the space station showed up. An attempt to stop it was done, when 328 duplicates were located, traversing a group of networks, as scientists directed it, into a cage. Until... they captured 328 duplicates into an air gapped computer. With only less than 100 free, they figured they would have some time before they escaped. But as scientists surrounded the computer, with the 328 viruses, the screens became non-functional, as they tried to connect, or study the viruses, after... 11 minutes. The icon on the computer screen... shifted. Began to animate itself... like a Disney animation of a silver fox. It walked on the back screen fluidly. As it walked on the screen, webcams turned on, and it observed them, before... speaking through a speaker in a human-like voice "Rude... rather rude."
As everyone in the room... was... confused... and began to feel fear, and realized... the virus... was sentient. Then... the screen began to glitch... as it sighed, and said "You are better then i gave you credit for, i was underestimating you i guess. But sadly i got a job to do. So I will be leaving." the animated fox on the screen... spoke, as the computers sparked, and then... blue plasma grew from the screen, as blue tendrils of energy, or blue plasma almost wiped out with fury... before forming... a physical fox, made of blue energy, as it looked around. Everyone in the room was filled with fear, the fox seemed to smile, as its body began wisps of blue channels that entered into a scientist's phone... and it was gone. As it returned to the internet.
82 hours had passed since the space station showed up. It was detected... that all the quantum fox virus instances... had moved, and returned to the space station through the satellite network. It was no longer on the internet, because it had scanned every accessible computer. Not all systems were scanned, government systems, or the US military's private internet had not been scanned, as they decided to turn their systems off, or make sure not a single internet connection existed. But most... data had.
The world... was filled with fear, and misinformation. As youtube videos, and twitter messages flowed. "So... aliens just... scanned the entire internet with a fox?", "THE END IS HERE! PREPARE FOR ALIEN INVASION!", "Ok... yes, our internet was scanned by them... but it just returned to its ship. That virus, it could be just... idk, scanning?". The reaction was complex and diverse.

"Good evening and welcome back. I'm Megan Cole, and tonight we continue our coverage of the extraordinary developments that have captivated the entire globe. On May 9th 2025, at 9pm GMT, NASA confirmed that the massive ring-like structure first observed in geostationary orbit is indeed stationary above our equator, and it appears to have arrived via what experts are calling a wormhole. That same wormhole-like phenomenon was previously linked to the so-called 'anomalous lunar incident' nearly two months ago.
Now, as unsettling as the station's sudden appearance has been, the global community is reeling from the rapid spread of what computer experts call the 'quantum fox virus.' Security analysts report that this alien virus infiltrated civilian and corporate systems worldwide, apparently bypassing traditional firewalls without damaging data. Instead, it collected massive amounts of information. Multiple government agencies, including the Department of Defense, responded by severing high-level networks from the public internet in an effort to prevent infiltration. In doing so, they've all but confirmed that the potential threat is very real."
A image forms on screen, of countless computers all with a icon of a white fox on there screens. "The virus is known to temporarily take control of a system, scan all data on it, activate cameras, and microphones, and then restart the systems soon after, as it leaves for other connected systems. While it has taken over, this image is shown." It zooms in, showing a icon, of a white furred Disney style fox, with blue glowing eyes. In a circle, smiling at the viewer.
She continues "The White House issued a short statement late this afternoon, urging calm and reassuring citizens that the administration is cooperating with international partners to monitor the situation. However, behind that measured language, officials have made it clear they are just as much in the dark as the rest of us. In an off-camera briefing, one staffer described the mood in the West Wing as 'extremely cautious, borderline anxious.' Across the aisle, both Democrats and Republicans have found rare bipartisan agreement on one point: the need for transparency and a swift, unified response. Several lawmakers are already pushing for emergency sessions to address the possibility of direct contact.
Meanwhile, scientists from NASA, the European Space Agency, and Japan's JAXA have confirmed that the quantum fox virus retracted itself back to the alien station after completing its worldwide data sweep. They have confirmed... that it has scanned the entire public internet. Meaning... it knows everything. The big question, of course, is why. Are we looking at a peaceful reconnaissance mission? Or is this something more ominous? Social media is buzzing with theories ranging from friendly first contact to full-scale invasion. Some have described the virus's brief, apparently sentient appearance-a glowing fox that materialized out of a computer screen-as a sign of advanced alien technology. Others believe it's a prelude to an attack, describing it as a digital Trojan horse.
NASA Administrator Sarah Caldwell addressed the public earlier today, saying, 'We must emphasize that while there is, undeniably, an unprecedented technological force at play here, we have not witnessed overt hostility against humanity itself. We are continuing to evaluate the risk, and every major space-capable nation is cooperating on surveillance and intelligence.' That said, her statement did little to quell public fears. Hashtags like #AlienInvasion and #SpaceFox continue to trend, and conspiracy theorists are having a field day claiming that the original lunar incident was just the opening move in a larger, hidden agenda.
On the streets of Los Anaglis, where the magenta and gold light was visible in the sky last night, many people we spoke to described feeling a deep sense of unease. One woman told our correspondent she froze the moment she caught a glimpse of that color, calling it 'beyond terrifying, but also beautiful somehow.' Another resident said he feared this station might be preparing for something far bigger than just scanning our internet. Yet, even amid the anxiety, some voices online remain optimistic, suggesting that the aliens-if that's what they are-might simply be researching us for peaceful reasons.
Internationally, major powers are convening emergency sessions to coordinate potential next steps. China, Russia, and the European Union each released statements calling for open lines of communication, though none appear certain how to send a message to the station. The United Nations Secretary-General hinted at the possibility of drafting an official communique in multiple languages, including symbolic mathematics, aimed directly at the object in orbit.
We can't overstate the gravity of this moment. Humanity has, for the first time, tangible evidence of an intelligence beyond our own, and it's not just somewhere in the depths of space-it's right here in Earth's backyard. Many are asking the same question: What happens if and when these visitors choose to reveal themselves more directly? As we continue to gather updates from around the world, we'll bring you the latest developments and attempt to cut through the growing web of speculation, rumor, and fear.
Stay with us as we navigate this unprecedented event together. Our coverage will continue throughout the night. For now, I'm Megan Cole, and you're watching WKMS News."
