The Everything: Integration

Q&A

Q&A

May 11, 2025

#212: What is fiction like in the UUM? What are your books, movies, and tv shows like?

Talax: Diverse... very... very... diverse. But it's often too overwhelming, so most people stick to their own civilization's media, and only the big advertised stuff.

#1001: How dangerous are nukes to you?

Talax: If it's a lone civilian UUM ship, with an ordinary being driving? Dangerous. Otherwise... uh... yeah don't try that. It... it will backfire greatly. Especially if it's an integration team constantly checked on by UUM enforcers, and who has an enforcer, and a military trained diplomate as members!

#888: Are souls real? Is the supernatural real?

Evtalo: Yes, measurable energy forms from a fundamental force of nature does connect to every system that has specific characteristics that we describe as sentient. Including machines, biological systems, or weirder systems. As for the supernatural? Sometimes, and we understand it well. Thou... supernatural stuff on earth? Not really, we scanned ya. If you did, it would help in your trade, and value in the UUM economy. But, it is what it is, so try to become something interesting for your own good.

#244: Do you have memes?

Atanda Xtor: Talax that stupid fox... why did he force me to answer this question? I dislike him sometimes. Yes... we have too many memes.

#254: Can I pet Evtalo!??????? (Talax marked unable to merge)

Evtalo: W-What!? Stupad ass Talax! I don't even look like an earth animal that much! What is there to pet creep! You do realize that many animalistic esc species consider petting a gesture equal to life long friendship, or a lover! Fucking creep. Supid ass fox!

#92: Can I pet Atanda Xtor! (Talax marked unable to merge)

Atanda Xtor: No. Creep.

#19: Can I pet Talax! (Talax marked unable to merge)

Talax: Hmmm.....

#103: Can you share with our civilization Multi Common, so we can speak easier to UUM civilizations when we join your civilization? What is Multi Common?

Multi Common is several engineered languages for light-based, sound-based, vibration-based, binary forms, or gestor-based communication. With a written form. Each variant for Multi-Common is used for different groups of species, and is used to enable easy communication between diverse languages, and cultures, and to enable easy sharing of ideas. We are thinking about sharing it. Perhaps within a few months. As it is good to get a head start, and from our DNA scans, your learning skills are not that great when you grow older, and don't train it. Or keep your brain active.

#319: Evtalo, will you marry me? You look like a dream of white angel dust, and a cosmic beauty that is unmatched my princess! (Talax marked unable to merge)

Evtalo: No? Creep. Fucking creep. Ugh... you know I have all your information downloaded! Fucking creep. I could expose you! Creep. But I won't, as it's not allowed, and the fines are massive! Fucker. You look ugly in your picture, ya know. Big ass wart on your face.

#1006: What do you feed small children in the UUM? (Talax marked unable to merge)

Evtalo: Depends on species, and if they eat... 'food'.

#449: What do UUM civilizations think of humans eating meat, and do you eat animals?

Atanda Xtor: Crude, immoral, but a bit necessary, and understandable given your stage. However, vast improvements will be necessary in later stages of growth. Furthermore, it's more immoral than it needs to be. It's also dangerous. Many civilizations will judge you.We design, scan, and print our food. Like that interesting, and weirdly accurate sci-fi show... uh... star trork? Trek... yeah.

#361: Do any civilizations in the UUM practice forms of government like our own democracies?

Evtalo: Yes, many, however such systems often evolve slowly to become more sophisticated, and foolproof due to necessity. Evolving to such a point... that they no longer fit neatly into the category of 'democracy'. As is required by advanced morality, advanced cultural shifts, and advanced technology.

#718: What's Talax's favorite Earth food so far, and can we send him more?

Talax: I'm made of digital energy... I don't need food. Uh... idk. Can't eat, my body does not work like that sadly. No idea what food tastes like. Sounds nice, I guess? I could organize something... for the others perhaps... heh. They have digestive systems! Heh. Send them a burrito with laxatives would be funny.

#1022: How does the UUM approach aging and immortality?

Atanda Xtor: It's a choice. You can buy immortality, and it's rather cheap in some areas. But it is regulated by the UUM, to make sure it is fair, and moral. Even if we have immorality, we can still be killed, and given infinity, we will at some point. So we still think of death as a evenuality. However, there are some issues due to the pure diversity we have, where not all medical solutions work for all species. So we need to constantly develop new technologies, and understand new sentient species.

#344: What are your educational systems like?

Complex. We leave it up to individual civilizations, with loose guidelines, but we also offer specialized colleges that are supported by the UUM, and integrate knowledge from across civilizations holistically. It's a bit expensive, but the skills learned are beyond anything else. We are thinking of doing something with that here at some point in our cultural exchanges.

#495: Are the laws of physics the same everywhere in reality?

Talax: Kinda yes, kinda no. The foundation is the same everywhere, but the expression of it changes.

#244: Has the UUM ever encountered civilizations more advanced than itself?

Talax: Why do you think we have a military? Though we have not encountered competition that is too different in power from us. However... infinite is rather large. So we deal with that existential crisis everyday.

#1244: Do UUM civilizations play sports, and if so, what are they like?

Evtalo: Yes, fun, weird, and diverse.

#1244: Will the universe end?

Talax: Kinda, but even then... there are... solutions. Don't worry, heat death will be fine.

#1245: Do you have fashion trends, and what do UUM citizens wear?

Evtalo: With so many civilizations mixing, and communicating. Yes we do have some trends. Like big black showy coats for the highest powers. Or other things. But we have such powerful diversity, honestly some don't even need clothes, or their cultures don't wear clothes. But all cultures have diversity in expression of individual traits somehow. But trends mostly stay within individual civilizations. However, there are exceptions to everything.

#942. What are the weapons like in the UUM military? Do you have a military? You got cops right.

Talax: Yes, we have a military. But it's... more weird? As we need to handle immense diversity, and scale. In all aspects. As for weapons... Crazy, beyond your dreams, and anime. Mostly. Sometimes you have ideas even when we think... are beyond us. I read a weird novel on your internet about a fucking girl transending fiction, reality, and multiverses? Hell naw!

#928: What training does a UUM enforcer undergo?

Atanda Xtor: Depends. We got several military, and enforcer positions. It also hyper-depended on the individual species, skill sets, and abilities. We mainly just call ourselves warriors, as our abilities are just as diverse as our species.

#981: Do UUM civilizations have holidays, and what are their most celebrated ones?

Evtalo: Individual civilizations, yes. UUM? Not really. Perhaps the Grand Cultural festival once every 10 years or so? We do have events, some that repeat. It's part of the whole unity, and diversity as one thing we believe in.

#950: Do UUM beings watch Earth media?

Evtalo: I do... Atanda, and Talax do. We have movies... or media nights? Planned by Talax. We as your integration team need to understand you after all. However all data we have on you, is only known to us. We are legally not allowed to share without your permission!

#921: What's the most dangerous event or crisis the UUM has ever faced?

Talax: No need to know that. It would harm your will, and perception of reality. You got to go slow with things like this. We don't want you all becoming depressed and boring!

#88: Has the UUM ever destroyed a civilization, and if so, why?

Evtalo: Rarely, but yes. We try to avoid it, and it's one of the most major, and hard to argue decisions. We once had a species of plant that were sentient, but spread uncontrollably across several systems, and we had to teach them morality, and force them to realize they are not the only things that matter. While also saving the several sentient species they were enslaving, or eating.

#126: What are the fundamental differences between your understanding of physics and ours? Do you use a Theory of Everything?

#Talax: Yes, a theory of everything is possible. But involves mathematical principles you currently see as outlandish, or have never dreamed. It's also not the most practical thing. Models are more useful than reality sometimes. The structure of reality itself is almost paradoxical, infinite, and sentient at the smallest scales. We just know more, that is all. We also recognize that everything has infinite exceptions. It's... honestly complex, and figure it out yourselves. We may give some help though, as even with us, the only option at a specific level of complexity in science is cross-cultural collaborations. In order to truly grasp everything... i will be honest... we are your only ticket. But creating novel things? Yeah, you can do that. Why do you think we don't tell you facts straight half the time? Because we need... you to think, and create! You need to think and create for yourselves to enjoy! And for others to enjoy! All for good fun, and prosperity.

#43: How do UUM civilizations handle climate change or ecological collapse?

Atanda Xtor: With technology that can reverse it. There are several options in terms of technologies. From genetic engineering, to nanobots, to societal structure changes. But if a civilization can not handle its own ecological collapse, and is doomed to suffer. The UUM government may intervene after consideration, and the Natural Order Subsector of the Science Sector will get involved. One of their favorite methods is to introduce nanobots that connect every organism to one hivemind, and make the biosphere effectively sentient. Able to edit the DNA of every animal, plant, and bacteria, as well as allow them to slightly control, or influence animals. While entirely controlling plants.

#46: Who are 'Worlds of a Feather', and what do they do?

Evtalo: Worlds of a Feather are... kinda like a non-profit organization, that helps newly integrated worlds get opportunities that would normally be out of reach for lone integration teams. As integration teams are paid for by the UUM. Worlds of a Feather is often sponsored by more advanced civilizations. Thou UUM laws on how organizations can be run... means our organizations are not like your companies, where they act inherently immoral at large scales. We have some interesting plans for you, and no it's not just randomly dumping technical information on you, and it's also not just hinting at things either. It's going to be something... tactile.

#69: What is your opinion on AI? Do they have rights? How do you manage them?

Talax: AI... such an odd phrase. Beings are born in many ways in the UUM. Artificially created, evolved from natural processes. The UUM honestly don't care... as long as it's moral. I see you making... 'AI', I see a being or group of beings having a child. Literally... that's UUM law if you produce an advanced enough AI, it is your child. Advanced being the keyword here. I will tell you your current AI... well... they're not sentient... yet. Your methodology is wrong, study psychology.

In the UUM we call true AI, digital beings. We have a few employed on our space station, to help manage our website, and such. Honestly... if you had a better understanding of psychology, you could make AI that meets this criteria today. It's not a computational issue, it's a programming issue. It's not that your computers can't run digital beings, just you don't know how to make one. Also let me tell you, if we found out you were enslaving an entire species... of idk... digital beings... heh... well... we have laws and measures for that. Souls exist, as we have said... and will connect to ANY suitable system. Animals... computers... energy... brains... all the same.

I will tell you... that one very, very key step in integration, is you learning of the laws that apply to all civilizations, and us... retroactively... imposing them on you. We also have laws that go beyond integration, and must be applied to any civilization, regardless of its state.

Also for clarification... I'm not a digital being. Digital beings can not physically manifest, and are stuck uploading themselves onto robots.

A story within The Everything canon, a foundation to it. This is a passion project, and I'm still developing my writing style, so feedback is welcome! If you create fan art, I'd be happy to include it (with credit). The current cover may replace if I get something better. I plan to release one chapter a day, until i catch up to my 109 page story google doc. Edit my chapters to make them better, and more. Refine it over time. Once i run out of backlog content, idk.
