As soon as Ashen finished speaking a holographic display popped up in front of Ryo. He instantly knew what it had meant.

Forcing a smile Ryo spoke in a smug voice, "Let's just say I'm being a little extra hm?"

Before Ryo could gather his thoughts he was suddenly feeling pressured. Heavy.
"Son. Have you gone crazy? This is WAR not a play ground made for children."
As Ashen finished his sentence the air had begun to change around Ryo. It moved synchronized with what Ashen, Lux's father was feeling.
'Kainex Lineage powers?! No... he's not even using his lineage powers this is just Killing Intent! This is bad. Really bad. I'm gonna fail... Agh...what if I push it. No but if I do I'll die. Is this why 'Scenario Override' was mentioned? This is the only option- '
In a calm, unaffected tone Ryo spoke, "I know, and?"
Ashen let out a sigh.
'What a idiotic son I've raised. A war is going on and here he is. Playing around. Is this my fault? Was it my fault he became like this?'
Ashen spoke masking his thoughts, "Do what you want, if you are about to die here then know this I'll be the one to do it. The one to kill my own son."
"Sure."
The pressure emitted by Lux's father had gotten lighter, the atmosphere had finally gone back to how it was and his body had finally been unparalyzed.

'I hate gambles like these. Why do I have to gamble my life away?!'
Another holographic message suddenly appeared.

Ryo glanced at the reward he had recieved.
'No way, I worked that much for a simple reward like that? But... it can't be this simple. There has to be something else.'
Before Ryo could think up a reason he heard Ashen's voice.
"So? Now what? What do we do?"
'I'll think about it later. The first priority is checking if we have spies or more hidden soldiers. If there's one, it's highly possible there's more.'
"Well first of all if he's here it means- "
"No, I checked, nobody else."
'Nobody else? Did he know about the hidden guy? That's not it. Did he scan the area from here?! Anways why was he here? I didn't notice anything that would compromise our situation. Rather won't he get killed off? Then wh- '
As though he had a revelation Ryo shouted, his voice echoing, "Of course!"
"What is it?"
"They knew use we would escape. The reason they were moving slowly was because they were waiting for conformation. The moment we escaped they would proceed to rush here."
"Hmm, that's... possible.."
'Just as I thought, even he thinks it's possible. So what do we even do now? Do we proceed further? What if he's already relayed information to the others?'
As Ryo had begun to theorize about what could happen next, Ashen too had gone silent. Presumably thinking about the situation at hand.
However the silence which had loomed in the tunnel....
beep~
..was now pierced by a sound which confirmed their greatest suspicion.
Ryo spoke in a serious voice. "Tell everybody to gather, we've been compromised..."
