Their party consisted of four carriages, a wagon, five knights, and four maids.
Her father and mother rode in a separate carriage. While she had a carriage to herself. The maids and knights were able to rest in the remaining two carriages. Three knights were always riding next to the middle to protect their carriages, and the two other knights would rest. They switch every five to six hours according to the pattern she witnessed.
The knights of her family and the maids were getting along well. Her mother had requested a daily report to ensure that the maids were comfortable on their journey. When she saw the knights, she was impressed by their armor and chivalrous attitude. She had read in an online news article that the network had spent a small fortune on designing the costumes for each character, but the armor of these knights was amazing to see in real life. The TV show failed to account for the small coat of arms each knight wore on the right side of the shoulder blade to show loyalty to their lord. She also noticed how each knight diligently took care of their armor during their periods of rest in the evening.
There were three villages where they were able to rest. The first village sent a welcoming party to lead them to the nearest inn. Fortunately, they were close enough to the manor to hear about the rumors that the only daughter of Count De La Guerra had been cursed. Although they were shocked to see her at first, they had been mentally prepared to see her scar and therefore treated her with aloof kindness.
The second village had a different response to her presence.
