[7 Years later]

His footsteps were soft through the tiled hallways. The ceiling lights were bright and he wore a hoodie over his head and face. His eyes hidden under the cloth of the hood. His steps calmly echoed as he made it down the hall toward his next class. ‘Nohan wasn’t at Lunch today, I hope he’s okay… nonetheless… as annoying as it is to think about, I hope Chloe isn’t at him again’ Mia continued down the hall.

“Why do you think you’re better than me huh!? Just because you can catch stuff on fire!” She swung her fist, hitting Rue across the face. Rue looking up.

“I never said I was better than you-”

“Shut up!” she punches him across the cheek again, gritting her teeth and reeling her fist back, her skin turns gray and grows rigid and solid like rock. She swings it. Rue closes his eyes tightly but it never hits. He slowly opens his eyes and looks up. Chloe was frozen in place with gritted teeth and a frustrated facial expression.

“Ikati! She turns her head as Mia stands behind them, in front of a large floor to ceiling window. His hands in his hoodie pocket as his deep blue eyes stare at her from under the hood.

“I’m getting tired of you, Chloe” Chloe regains her footing as Mia unfreezes her.

“I’m getting tired of you pipsqueaks thinking you’re stronger than me, I’m the queen of this school, and I'm undefeated!” Chloe jumps forward, swinging her fist, Mia leaning back slightly, casually dodging the strike as he thinks to himself. ‘This school’s administration hasn't changed much since abilities first appeared so there isn’t much they can do when some students like Chloe use their abilities in a bad way… they have no way to stop ability using kids who think they’re better than everyone else’ Mia sidesteps another swing as Choe grits her teeth.

“Stop dodging you coward!” Mia exhales and grabs Chloe’s arm, pushing it down. ‘I don’t like fighting… but since I’m pretty much the strongest student in this school, the school allows me to secretly take out the students doing things incorrectly… as long as I don’t damage school property and report it afterwards' Chloe stumbles back and Mia swings on his left heel, punching Chloe straight in the face sending her sliding back into the wall and onto the floor. Mia returns his fist to his pockets, looking down at Rue and smiling, before standing up and walking away. ‘Nowadays, Ability use is way more regulated than when my dad was an Agent here in the US… and since Ability users can only be defeated by Ability users, the Awakened World Agency was created… but as the generations proceed, Abilities get stronger… Agents need to get stronger as well, and the AWA gets more strict about who they teach to be the next generation-’

“KAT! Stop thinking to yourself, do you not see me waving my hand at mach speeds right now?” Mia jumps a bit, taking off his hood to show off his medium length light blue hair.

“Oh, sorry, Nohan… are you okay?” Rue looks away slightly.

“Yeah… I’m fine… I could've stopped that myself”

“Then why didn’t you? On top of that, you would’ve gotten in trouble with the admins for using your Ability without permission” Rue exhales.

“I know, I know…” Mia exhales.

“Why do you always end up getting into fights, Nohan?” Rue chuckles a bit.

“Not my fault people don’t like me for some reason,” Mia calmly smiles.

“Don’t let what other people say get to you… i’ll see you after class, I have to go report this to the councilors” Rue looks down and nods
