King watches out the front windshield of the car as he drives through the thick forest on the small road. ‘He’s been quiet since we left the Airport… I wonder if he’s okay…’ King looks at Mia through the rearview Mirror. ‘Well… he probably left his entire old life behind, so it doesn’t surprise me that he’s a bit out of it right now’ The car slows and turns onto an uphill gravel road through the trees.

“Hey, Kid” Mia perks up a bit. King focusing on the road, not turning to look.

“You’ll be just fine, these guys are gonna love you as if you’re a member of their family… and trust me… your ol’ man back home will be fine, Mr. Nuclear has a way of dealing with plenty of things at once, he’ll be arriving here in Japan before you know it” Mia looks down.

“But-” King shouts a bit.

“BUT WHAT!?” Mia jumps a bit as King continues. “I go through the effort to try and make you feel comfortable during your first day here in Japan, and you don’t even respect it!” Mia gulps. ‘The popularity polls were right… this guy’s a little… on edge all the time’

“I-It’s not that, Mr. King-”

“I’ll be your Agent training instructor, so just call me Mr. Akido”

“Oh… okay Mr. Akido… it’s not that I don’t respect your attempt… it was noble but…” King turned as the car followed the gravel road uphill.

“... I appreciate your help, Mr. Akido… that’s all there is to say” King goes silent for a moment before exhaling.

“I am your teacher, ain’t I?” The gravel driveway leveled out into a turnaround in the middle of an opening in the trees.

“We’re here, make sure you don’t leave anything in here” Mia nods and grabs his stuff, opening the door and stepping out of the car. Mia locked eyes with the mansion in front of him. It was the most beautiful and aesthetically pleasing traditional Japanese mansion he had ever seen. There was a creek running right under the house and there were growing vines and natural fauna crawling up the front of the house. ‘So… pretty’

“Hey, pay attention kid, this is where you’ll be stayin’ until your ol’ man arrives here from the US, got it?” Mia quietly nods.

“Good” King quickly turns and knocks on the door.

“Hey, Daniel, come get the brat, I’ve completed your favor and now we’re even!” King puts his hands in his pocket and walks back to the car. Mia turning.

“Wait-” King stops.

“What? I have a business meeting to attend” Mia gulps and looks away.

“Okay… nevermind… have a good day, Mr. Akido” Mia turns to the house and gulps. Exhaling and stepping forward. Stepping onto the raised patio in front of the front door.

“I can do this…” Mia takes a deep breath and reaches for the door knob. The door knob suddenly turns and the door slides open.

“PERSON!” Mia jumps a bit as a toddler jumps at him. Mia catches them and puts them down. Their hair was short but black and wavy and dark skin. His eyes were a bright red and he wore a smile on his face.

“Oh… uh… hi?”

“Kajun, don’t go to the door by yourself!” Mia looks up as a relatively lean muscular man rushes in, wearing a light hoodie. His curly black hair partially fell over his right eye.

“Come back to Daddy” The toddler turned to the man who rose standing after picking him up, a second toddler in his other arm, exactly the same as the first. The man smiled.

“You must be… Ikati Mia, yes?” His voice slightly soothed Mia who froze momentarily before jumping.

“Oh!... y-yes… that’s me” The man calmly smiles and tilts his head towards the inside of the house.

“Come in, come in… we’ve been waiting for you, my wife can’t wait to meet you!” The man turns and walks into the foyer of the house while carrying the toddlers. Mia smiles and takes his shoes off and follows him in.
