Flames engulf him as he hits the wooden floor, His ears ring as he rushes to sit up, somehow he is back at the Daniel house despite having been in the suburb a mile or so away moments ago. ‘W-What the-... why am i-... when did-...’ Mina quickly rushes over as blood drips on the wooden floor.

“Mia, what happened to you, are you okay!?” She lays Mia flat on the ground as Mia coughs a bit.

“I was… attacked while Jogging…” Mina’s eyes widened.

“Labryce!” Labryce rushes into the room and runs over to Mia.

“What happened?” Mina looks over.

“He says he was attacked” Labryce grits his teeth, picking Mia up. ‘Are the bounty hunters already after the students?’ he starts walking Mia to a guest bedroom.

“Mina, get the medical kit.”
“On it”

Labryce walks in and places Mia on the bed, lifting off Mia’s hoodie and shit to see the sword wound running diagonally across his chest. ‘Whoever attacked him didn’t hold back, he’s lucky he’s still conscious’

“Stay with me, Mia” Mina rushes in and opens the medical pack, quickly beginning to patch up the wound. Mia looks over at his blood stained and ripped hoodie.

“I really… like that hoodie too” Labryce walked back over and started wrapping the wound with gauze, Mia looked up.

“Sorry… for waking you… up…” Labryce nervously laughs.

“We don’t mind… Now, can you tell us anything about your assailant so we can notify the police to stricten their patrols?” Mia raises an eyebrow.

“Why stricten… patrols?” Labryce sighs.

“Lately, some unknown underground gang has been releasing bounty papers for any Awakened, and if they’re an Agent or Agent in training, they have higher bounties… but normally, bounty season doesn't really start until after December, they’re early this year… but you shouldn’t have to worry about that right now, focus on recovery and prepare for your first day at the AWA, okay?” Mia looks down.

“...okay…” Labryce nods.

“Now… What did the person who attacked you look like?” Mia thinks for a moment. ‘Nohan attacked me… there’s no denying that… but he’s still my friend… Do I tell the police what he looks like and risk never seeing my friend again… or…’ Labryce finishes wrapping.

“Well?” Mia exhales.

“He called himself Requiem… and he used a longsword…” Labryce nodded.

“I appreciate you telling me, Mia… now get some rest” Labryce stood and left the room. Mia looks down and rubs his arm.

Mia stood in the front gate of the AWA. His heart racing as he looks past the walls to the massive campus. The main building had a mix of brick, white, and soft oak browns. On top of the 3 story base were 3 tall skyscrapers that were at least 16 floors. Mia takes a deep breath, his hair falling over his face, his blue eyes peeking out as he walks past the groups of students and into the school entrance.
