'Kamïe, the home of the gods.'
'No,' replied Ace flatly. 'I’m not going anywhere.'
Raiden sighed. 'Didn’t want to do this.'
Before Ace could react, Raiden appeared behind him in a blur and struck the back of his neck. Ace collapsed.
Ace woke up slowly, his head pounding. The ground beneath him felt smooth, like polished stone. As he sat up, the first thing he saw was the sky. It was different here. The clouds moved in strange patterns, and islands floated high above in silence.
He looked around. The place was vast and beautiful, with glowing trees and ancient stone buildings unlike anything he had ever seen.
Raiden sat nearby, waiting.
'You’re finally up,' he said.
Ace groaned. 'You knocked me out.'
'I had to. You wouldn’t have come otherwise.'
Ace stood up, wobbling slightly. 'Where am I?'
'Kamïe,' Raiden said. 'The realm of the gods.'
Ace stared at him, still not fully believing it.
Raiden stepped closer. 'You’re not trained. You didn’t grow up with this. But the power is inside you. And it’s only going to grow.'
Ace stayed quiet.
'Whether you believe it or not,' Raiden said, 'you don’t have a choice anymore. You’re here. And everything’s about to change.'
'I'm taking you to the palace of the gods.'
