Festival day two. Everyone’s tired but the energy is still buzzing. The group is setting up for their last event—a memory wall.
Students pin photos and messages from the past school years.
Tomo tapes up an old class picture and smirks.
Tomo (teasing):
“Look at baby Yuuji. Who hurt him?”
Yuuji:
“You. Every day.”
Kanae avoids Haruka. Not coldly—just carefully.
Haruka notices. They meet in the hallway, and for once, there’s no smile.Haruka:
“You confessed, didn’t you?”
Kanae (quietly):
“Yeah. I needed to.”
Haruka:
“Did you think I wouldn’t?”
Kanae (surprised):
“…Wait, what?”
Flashback: Haruka is seen alone weeks ago, standing outside Yuuji’s house holding a sketchbook… but she never rang the doorbell.
Haruka (voiceover):
“I had the chance. But I stayed silent. Again.”
Current moment. Kanae frowns.
Kanae:
“So what now? We fight for him?”
Haruka:
“No. I’m just tired of watching him act like none of us matter.”
Tension breaks. Yuuji accidentally walks in on their conversation.
He freezes. The air thickens.
Yuuji:
“…Were you talking about me?”
Haruka (firm):
“Yes. Because you never talk about you.”
Yuuji (snaps):
“Because I don’t know who that even is anymore!”
Everyone’s stunned.
