Death x Dealer

Chapter 2 - The Deal Breaker (Part Two)

Chapter 2 - The Deal Breaker (Part Two)

Apr 25, 2025

UNKNOWN TO THE DEATH DEALER, JOHANN IS ALSO BEGINNING TO GET STRONGER.

Without the amulets that restricts him from using his powers, Johann was allowed to use his skills to protect himself from any possible danger. An energy started to surround his hands. He gathered enough to release himself from the paralyze spell. Johann is also beginning to get angry at the being who could be responsible for his mother’s accident.

“Really? Then I would like to see you try,” Johann replied.

Johann was able to break from the paralyze spell. It felt like he broke away the thick invisible rope that was surrounding him. Johann glares at Cassian and attacks without warning. He punches the death dealer in his stomach, making him bend forward and quite float from the floor. The man was pushed away by the impact of it.

Cassian did not expect him to be this strong. And as Cassian remembers the first time she met the mother of Johann, he finally remembers that she was a Shaman.

That woman… she never intends to keep her word.

He recalled there was a magic circle that summoned a Death Dealer and Cassian is the one who appeared. He was floating while looking down at the mother kneeling as she held her dead baby.

“Don’t let him die. Please… I needed this child.”

“I will grant your request, human. But someday I will come back for this child to take his body and use it however I pleased.”

A soul appeared in his hand and the soul entered the dead body of the infant. Her eyes widened as she looked at her baby come back alive. She was like holding a white warm light.

Why did I forget that she came from a family of strong shamans? Cassian thought after he was pushed backwards. He used both his feet and arms just to stop himself from crashing outside the glass window behind him. Cassian smiled as soon as he stopped moving. The tiled floor was damaged as Cassian stopped his movement.

He must admit. This boy entertained him. He loves to fight strong opponents. But he also despises those who cannot keep their end of the bargain.

“Okay. Playtime’s over.”

Johann was shocked to see how fast Cassian recovered. He moves towards him as if he was vanishing and sprinting at the same time. Cassian then prepares for a counter attack. When he appears near Johann, Cassian grabs his neck firmly, choking him. And in an instant Cassian teleported both of them. The hallway was left silent and empty as if no one was there to begin with.

Cassian floats while still holding Johann on his neck. They are several feet above the hospital. Strangling him to death is not part of his plan. But he intends to drop Johann. Johann looked at the ground below him and was trying to think of a strategy. But Cassian already decided to kill him at that moment.

“Now, let’s see if you can survive this fall.”

Cassian removed his hand from his neck. Johann knew he was doomed. At a young age, Johann was trained by his mother to control his spiritual strength and to form it to whatever size he pleases. There were also several things he learned to protect himself but none of them taught him how to fly or survive a fall from above a building.

He watched as Cassian smiled at him as he fell. Johann closed his eyes. He accepted his fate. He lost that fight. His only concern is knowing that his mother will surely be disappointed and devastated.

Random memories flashed through his mind as he waited for his body to hit the ground. His training sessions with his mother, his practice at a boxing gym, the meditations and spells he learned through old books.

I’m sorry, Mom. It looks like… we cannot defy my fate. No matter what we do… I’ll end up dying in the Death Dealer’s hands.
