Got lost in high hopes; better to be found.
Forgot: who gets lost doesn't want to be found.

Regrets and guilts crawling up all around;
Tears screaming within, but eyes shut them down.

Losing patience and tolerance, putting life's stakes beneath –
Would it be true or just a nightmare gone wrong?

Staring at the mirror with a presence behind me,
Why look so familiar, glaring to find me?

How come scenarios changed to and fro?
Sides switched in a minute or so.

At the entrance of a twisted corridor,
I find myself –
a stranger, and all alone.

Footsteps falter; mirror lined the walls,
Someone trapped behind them, yelling along.

Was it a threat or a glitch – sound?
I continue to walk, wanting to wake up
from this somnolence;
Wants turning to hopes.
Manipulation – what have you done?

Scattered fragments striving for whole;
Posed a question: who am I in this story untold?

Never thought fear would run in veins like this,
When a voice shouted, "Are you afraid, just by this?"
