Danny’s POV 

I tried to stand as tall as possible; it didn’t make a difference; I was still too short compared to him. I ended up pulling him down to my level. I leaned forward, our lips meeting. 

I pulled back and smiled, his face was red, and he look so shocked, but he ended up smiling, “Fuck Danny, your bold,” He put his hand on the back of my neck, and pulled me back in. 

I wanted to stay like that forever, until i heard those dreadful words, “Daniel, stop kissing my girlfriend's younger brother, we gotta get going!” Ellie, my older sister. 

He moved back a bit after hearing those words, “I forgot Ellie is your sister.”  

I heard the door on Ellies car, and a girl, maybe a few inches taller than Mason came running out, she looked like a female version of Mason. “Maze!” She hugged him suffocatingly tight. 

“Fi- Fiona i can’t breathe,” He was smiling at her though as she pulled away. 

“So, mom fucked up twice.” 

“Three times...” I had no idea what they were talking about. 

“Maze, i gotta go but tonight, family meeting, me, you and Asher, okay?” He nodded in approval. She ran back to the car. 

Ellie honked the horn. “Daniel Alexander Hall, I will leave you behind, so get in the fucking car!” 

I smiled softly at Mason, “See you tomorrow?” He nodded, a small smile on his face, it was still covered in blush. 

I got in the car, i was smiling like a madman, it was a relatively quiet car ride, until i walked through the doors of the and saw that dreadful sight on the couch, I heard Ellie whisper to Fiona, “Go back to the car.” 

“What? Why?” Fiona asked, she didn’t know who Doug was, she had been dating Ellie for just under a year, but he was rarely here anyway. 

“Just go,” She whispered, Fiona went back out to the car, leaving me and Ellie with Doug. 

“Eleanor, go, leave with your little girlfriend. Leave the boy here though,” Doug said with a wicked smile. 

“No, i am not leaving him with you.” 

“Ellie, just- just leave, I'll be fine,” I gave her a forced smile, she didn’t want to leave, i knew she didn’t but it’s easier if it’s only one of us. 

“Okay,” i could hear the hesitation in her voice, she walked out the door, i tried to keep my fear to a minimum. 

I saw Doug stand up and walk towards me, i just froze, “Daniel, guest room. Now.” 

I slowly walked down the hallway, i froze outside of the door, “No.” 

“Excuse me?” I heard the anger in his voice. 

“No,” I said softly. 

I felt him come closer to me, his hand grabbed onto the back of my neck, “Fine, right here then,” He turned me towards him in a swift motion. 

I did whatever he told me, but every time he saw a tear and pulled away, grabbed literally anything and hit me with it, thankfully this time, nothing glass was near.

I heard a knock on my door, it had been less than an hour since, i didn’t answer until i heard that recognizable voice, “Danny? Can i come in?”  

I stood up and opened the door, my eyes bloodshot, Ellie stood outside the door, she was wearing Fiona’s hoodie, “I brought someone who might make you feel a bit better,” I looked out the doorway and saw Mason standing in the living room. 

“I don’t want him to see me like this,” I said softly, my voice cracking slightly. 

“He already knows what happened,” My eyes widened. 

“You fucking told him?” 

“As if he’d get in my car for no reason, i literally said, ‘Something happened to Danny, you need to come,’ and he asked more questions, so i answered them, Danny i experienced this shit too, except i had an actual support system, you now have someone,” I felt my heart pound out of my chest. 

I saw Mason notice me and he walked towards me. “You, okay?” His voice made any worries i had washed away. 

“I’m fine, I'm glad you're here,” I gave him a soft smile, and he hugged me, and even though i was happy he was there, i just ended up sobbing into his shoulder, i thought i was fine. 

I heard Ellie whisper, “We are gonna go, just text one of us if you need anything,” And then the sound of the door opening and closing. 

I was finally able to regain composure after a few minutes, i pulled away from him, he wiped away some of my tears, “Are you okay now?” 

I laughed, “I think so, but that might be up for debate,” I wiped a few more tears away. 

“I’m not talking about that, are you okay?” I knew what he meant, but frankly i didn't want to talk about it with him. 

“I’m used to it, Mason, it isn’t the first time, i promise I'm fine,” I grabbed his hand and pulled him to the couch, he sat down and i grabbed a random Disney dvd, and put the movie on, i leaned on him as the movie played. 

I don’t know when i fell asleep, or how long i was asleep for, but i woke up to Ellie tapping me aggressively, “Danny, your boyfriend has to leave, are you going to say goodbye or go back to sleep?” She asked.  

I slowly sat up, a little tired still and whispered, “Bye...” Mason smiled softly at me as he opened the door, i went back to sleep. 

But before i fell asleep i heard Ellie say something, “He’s probably still not in the right mindset, i was, and still am the same way, I’ll just let him sleep, he needs it.” Thats the last thing i heard before i fell asleep.
