No you can't wipe it off and start again, that is against the rules! Terrible things will happen if you do that. Things that are terrible will happen.
When I put makeup on I have to get real close to the mirror because my eyesight is super terrible (things get blurry less than a foot away from my face). Often I will try to put makeup on without removing my glasses.
