Ino waved to Naruto as he walked across the parking lot and met her at the wooden entrance of the garden. He was wearing a dark green Henley and black chino’s, looking drop-dead gorgeous. She let out a wolf whistle and Naruto rubbed the back of his head, “Shut up!”

She gave him a tight hug and a kiss on his cheek, “Your hair looks so nice. Is that a braid?”

He lightly played with it, “Yeah, a small one since my hair isn’t as long as yours.”

“It suits you.” She held out her hand, “I already grabbed our tickets come on.”

They trailed into the garden, looking around and snapping pictures of the beautiful flowers and exotic trees. She took candid shots with her camera and Naruto played along, making silly poses. The weather was just right for a walk through the garden and Naruto closed his eyes, breathing in the smells through the wind.

They reached the entrance of a canopy, filled with vines and blooming flowers, and at the very end stood Sasuke.

Naruto’s mouth dropped, “Sas?! What are you doing – wow – you look hot.”

He strolled forward and ran his fingers over the silk material of his black button-up. “I’ve never seen this one.” It was tight and showed off his lean muscular body. Even his tattoos were on display with rolled sleeves and the top buttons undone.

The blonde turned back to where Ino was but saw that she had disappeared. Sasuke grabbed his attention again and held his hand. “Come on, she probably went to take some more pictures.”

The blond nodded and walked closer to the brunette, gluing himself to his side. He chatted about all they’d seen since the entrance and how his day had been. Sasuke was glad that the blonde got easily distracted and didn’t question why Sasuke was here in the first place.

Sasuke listened intently (tried) and pressed his palm on the small of his back. Felt like he was about to pass out but skillfully hid it. Well, he hoped he did. He didn’t want to give away that he was fighting some intense nerves.

They kept walking as he fought his nerves and eventually stopped in front of a gorgeous mural of a sunset, made completely out of different varieties of flowers and plants.

“Wow, look at this Sas! Look at the blues and the purples!”

Sasuke nodded along as he took a deep breath. He had a whole speech planned but if he opened his mouth, he might actually throw up. He decided to just do it. He released Naruto’s hand and dropped down on one knee.

Naruto started sobbing as soon as he saw Sasuke’s knee hit the floor. Sasuke hadn’t even said anything. He could’ve joked about having to tie his shoe or dropping something, but Naruto knew. Because of the way the brunette looked at him. That intense dark gaze that spoke of all the love and adoration the brunette felt for him.

Sasuke opened the navy-blue velvet box in his hand, where an engagement ring was firmly in the center. Shining and looking absolutely stunning and –

“Yes!”

A laugh bubbled in the brunette’s throat, “But I haven’t – “

Naruto rubbed the Uchiha’s wrinkled forehead, “Sas, no offense, but you look like you’re about to faint.”

“I am not!” Sasuke wanted to scowl but the situation was just so utterly ridiculous and so them –

He sniffed, “I don’t know, you’re looking kind of clammy.” He gently squeezed Sasuke’s cheeks.

“You know what – never mind I take it back. I’m un-proposing.”

“Nope, I already said yes.” He poked Sasuke’s nose and wiped his tears with the palm of his other hand.

Sasuke rolled his eyes and gently swatted the tan hand away, “Let me ask properly.”

Naruto beamed, “There we go. There’s the asshole I love. You were all worried and ugly.”

Sasuke let out a breathless laugh. He should’ve known this is why Naruto started this bickering. He must’ve seen how bad his hands were shaking and how utterly frightened he felt at being so exposed.

“Fuck how I love you.”

“I know.” He ran a hand through the silky brunette hair, urging Sasuke on.

“Naruto, will you be with me for all of eternity? Annoy me till the end of time and argue with me every step of the way?”

The blonde’s shoulders shook from the laugh he was fighting but stayed silent, just staring at him with those vast sapphire eyes.

Sasuke’s eyes playfully narrowed, “This is when you answer.”

“Is it? Because I answered earlier but I got interrupted.” He got on his knees and met Sasuke’s intense gaze, cheeks hurting from all the smiling. “Hell yes stupid.”

Sasuke fought back tears and slid the ring onto his finger. He really needed to get up soon, his knee was –

Naruto threw himself in his arms.

“Wait – my legs are – “. They both fell back to the ground, Sasuke’s knee almost numb from leaning on it during the proposal.

Naruto cackled as they both lay on the ground and he decided to kiss the daylights out of him. He gave him the sweetest firm pecks, drawing them out with a mwah at the end.

“You two are so fucking adorable.”

Naruto jumped back and looked at a snickering Ino, who waved her camera around.

She cheekily scrolled through the photos, “I took snapshots of everything. I can’t wait to show it off. Your brother is gonna die.”

Sasuke groaned at the thought but couldn’t wipe the stupid smile off his face. Naruto had said yes to an eternity with him.

The wedding was a tiny event, taking place at the exact place Sasuke had proposed. Naruto loved the memory and the location so much, he insisted they get married there yet they didn’t expect –

It was Naruto’s dream wedding because it was during a storm. A gorgeous booming storm that shook the exotic trees and made the flowers shine from the rain.

Their vows were equally as idiotic, filled with affection and silly insults peppered throughout. Ino giggled as tears streamed down her face while Shikamaru did his duty of patting her face so her make-up didn’t get ruined too much.

Itachi wasn’t any better off, he was a mess. He went through half a box of tissues. He was overwhelmed at the blissful look on Sasuke's face. Their parents would be immensely proud of the way Sasuke’s life had turned out. After all the pain he endured and the constant thoughts of not being good enough to deserve anything worthy in his life.

Sasuke had expressed to him in confidence that he was sure he was destined for a life full of loneliness.

Yet here he was, marrying his soulmate. It was everything Itachi wished for in his life. Kakashi squeezed his hand, knowing how overwhelmed he must be. He’d been in their lives for over a decade and had seen Sasuke’s journey.

After their I Do’s and a small dinner, Naruto wrapped his arms around Sasuke’s neck and pressed their foreheads together, “Now you’re really stuck with me forever.”

Sasuke drawled, “Sounds horrible.”

He gave a watery laugh and pulled on Sasuke’s bowtie, “Any regrets?”

A smile tugged at the corner of the brunette's lips, “Never. Even when you drool all over me.”

Naruto rubbed their noses together, “I love you so much.”

He held the blonde’s hips and lightly squeezed, “You sap.”

“We literally just got married.” Naruto’s eyes crinkled at the corner of his eyes, “And you cried.”

“You were worse.”

“Nah, you definitely were.”
