The notice appeared on the school’s digital bulletin board, listing the names of new candidates selected through a restricted recruitment by the council’s internal development division. Liora’s name appeared under the role of Special Operations Staff.

The class erupted.

“She’s serious?”

“After all that conflict, now she wants to join?”

“She’s got some nerve…”

But Liora had a plan. She knew that not everyone inside the Student Council agreed with Celestine’s leadership. Some had already reached out to her in secret.

One of them was Morgan Hale, a member from the logistics division. They met quietly in an empty music practice room.

“I can’t stand watching them manipulate everyone anymore. If you get in... a few of us will support you from the inside.”

“Why me?” Liora asked, still guarded.

“Because you’re the only one brave enough to stand up to Celestine—and still standing.”

Selection day arrived. Candidates were tested through conflict simulations, policy debates, and investigative report writing. Liora handled each challenge calmly—her gaze sharp, her words sharper. None of the senior council members could refute her logic.

After the presentations, tension rose as Celestine stood and read the results.

“Liora Evans… approved. On one condition: she will operate under direct supervision of the Council’s Monitoring Division.”

Some students believed it was a trap. But Liora only gave a thin smile.

“If they want to monitor me, it means they admit I’m dangerous,” she whispered to Morgan.

At the end of the day, Liora walked out of the Council room, a small black pin on her chest—the mark of a new member. Her friends were waiting outside. Some even cheered.

“She actually got into the Council!”
